I used to not save or watch my VODs and as soon as I started doing that, I immediately saw problems with my stream quality, audio mixing, etc and was able to fix it so fast. It also allowed me to see what I could do better for engagement when I had viewers.
I’ve been following you on tik tok for a while now and your videos have helped me so much!!! You truly are a life saver for small streamers, your discord server video taught me more than any other tutorial ever lol. I’m super glad I found your channel, your content is amazing!!! Thank you for everything that you do
I was kinda relieved that I'm not doing 9/10 of these things(at least anymore lol) only one I still do is leaving my viewers on because almost every time i see a massive drop its either an audio issue or my mirrorless decided to turn off XD . But it also doesn't negatively impact my mood as much as it did in the very beginning otherwise i def would turn it off.
The only thing I do is keep the viewer count on, I enjoy that 'stab' feeling. Helps keep me grounded, plus on the off chance of a hate raid or bot raid, I'll see it via teh view count going up out of nowhere.
Speaking of lurkers, I’ve seen one every now and then and never called them out. I got the first time chatter alert when they said hi and I found out they had been following and lurking for the past 11 months! Pretty much from the beginning. It was such a nice moment.
I almost never say anything in chat when watching a stream. New social interactions can be terrifying to introverts like me. Calling them out is the worse thing you can do to them. They are looking for a place to feel safe and want to be comfortable in their new environment before they start talking. Glad to hear they finally said hi to you, we come to you when we are ready. Waiting for them patiently was a good decision. There have also been situations where I feel a streamer is way to cool to talk to a nerdy viewer like me. So viewers remember it is okay to say something, we are all humans just trying our best to interact with each other.
I know this is one of your older videos, but the advice is excellent! I've started getting in the habit of watching my VODs a day or so after a stream to see what I can improve upon, and I feel like I'm slowly getting better. I also want to note that I'm so glad I've been able to watch you grow on TikTok, and that I finally got off my butt and subbed here to see your longer videos.
Or you could be me: *Can't figure out how to get my game sound back *Can't hear my friends at all on Discord *You can only hear me 🥴😌 I'm still trying to figure out what I've done wrong 🤦♀🤦♀
I will try to make more of a effort to look directly at my webcam more. But what do you do if you just have one of those faces that always looks scary? My face either looks serious or just lazy/tired most of time. There have only been a few moments where I have gotten past that barrier and really show my less awkward self. So I guess I just need to relax more and keep trying? As a massive introvert my social life has dramatically improved since becoming a youtuber/streamer plus I am making videos to help players in a mmo I love so I want to keep improving.
try tilting your chin up!! i used to look like a murderer when playing league bc i'd tuck my chin into my neck and look at my screen with a kubrik stare (is that how it's spelled xD). I didn't realize until I rewatched my content, and had to train myself to stop doing that!
thankfully doing VERY few of these if any but def get into serial killer face when something shocking happens on stream or I am trying to learn something in front of the camera 😂😂😂
Feeling very proud for once that I don't do any of the things in this video haha, though I did used to do the ccv (views) thing pretty early in. Thankfully there's been a lot of wonderful people like yourself and some support posts on twitter that give lots of advice to help others out, really appreciate it! Some stuff may feel like common sense, but in the moment that you're on the spot (live/on camera) so much is going on that may just fly over your head. The biggest one I want to say imo is the vods/audio, since you yourself can't hear the audio in the moment. I use SLOBS so I would typically hit the record button and like fake a test stream just to make sure audio, game, cam/model, alerts and stuff looked nice... but that idea definitely didn't come to me on the first stream, I can tell you that much ^^;
i agree with the only having donation link being off putting. i feel the same way when a streamer has their sub goal in the title. like, the sub goal is the main content? lol
I raid with small amounts at times, in my world a view is a view and I'm tryna help others community grow. I agree with the other person that commented on this
nothing wrong with a linktree!! just don't make it the ONLY thing under the socials panel :) people are lazy and having hyperlinks will get you way more conversions to your other socials ^.^

I'm glad I watched. I wasn't doing 2 of these things. The lurker thing and the alert box thing.

*You can only hear me

Thanks for the advise Kat, let’s see how it goes once I start streaming 😬💜✨
glglgl!!! :D
Serial Killer face, LOL! Great idea...I am planning on doing a Horror stream, so that would actually work for me. LOL

I'm so happy , I don't make any of this mistakes (anymore).
Omfggg I busted out laughing at that serial killer face part 😭
About the giant notification, for clips if you record locally on PC you can turn them off and make clips out of gameplay
Good tips :D Here's one for ya: Your camera is not on manual mode. Looks bad with those auto aperture changes.
I'll keep these in mind when I can finally have an official stream without lag...
Raiding sounds fun lol I never really thought of that
it's very fun! I'd definitely recommend raiding after every stream :)
Feeling very proud for once that I don't do any of the things in this video haha, though I did used to do the ccv (views) thing pretty early in. What’s raiding?
great tips 🙌
and that why im faceless
Another great tip for those in the 10-20 viewer range is to create an opinionated Google form for viewers to fill out. It helped improve my content.
Make part 2
These were really helpful, thank you!
I'm so glad!
Thanks you so much that give me more info for punch up myself. 1st thing to do dont watch a view count🤣
i agree with the only having donation link being off putting. i feel the same way when a streamer has their sub goal in the title. like, the sub goal is the main content? lol
I love streaming but when it's not valorant my attention span usually can't last longer than a two hours stream xd it's a pain haha
hey! just subbed to you and followed your twitch + youtube and joined your discord, literally 5 seconds ago and you posted! that's awesome omg-
whoa tysm!!! :D
Its been 8 months but my first stream is today and this was really helpfull:]
Thank you for the tips kat!!
ty for all your kind words queen
My only mistake is having viewer count on lmao
But serial killer face is what I was going for
Uggyh I always finish a stream and I can't hear myself it's so sad :((
I learned from u
Thank u
PLEASE
Raiding as a small streamer with only like... 2 viewers though? Sometimes streamers make fun of you for raiding or hosting with few viewers..
if anybody makes fun of u they dont deserve to see ur community. a raid is a raid and any good streamer will appriciate that
I raid with small amounts at times, in my world a view is a view and I'm tryna help others community grow. I agree with the other person that commented on this
Callout those people on Twitter.
I tend to not raid people when I have like 2 viewers because I’m scared that will make it look like I’m just trying to get a shoutout :|
lmao
post notifications coming in clutch🤩
hi koki hehe
CAN YOU HELP ME WITH MY STREAM??
i review people's streams on my twitch every saturday at 7pm pst!
Wait…. Huh..? Sorry I was to busy looking in the background what happen? A tornado hit it lol jk love your video and the things you do keep it up !
You’re a babe
ayeee early
early gang!!
i don’t like when they spam there emotes on my chat, they are self promoting themselves
some of my friends are hurting themselves by having one viewer whole year they should quit twitch and watch me
Ahh I made 1 mistake, I made a linktree. Going to go change it now! THANK YOU KAT💕💕💕
nothing wrong with a linktree!! just don't make it the ONLY thing under the socials panel :) people are lazy and having hyperlinks will get you way more conversions to your other socials ^.^
