at 14:10 for people who's logos have a lot of green, invert the logo, and pick whatever color it inverts to for the background as this color never occurs in your logo and then just chroma key that color :)
This was exactly what I came to the comments for. I haven't done any branding stuff (not for real anyway, lol) yet, but I know I'll be favoring green. As soon as she said that, I was like "Oh no!" Thanks so much for the pro tip
Your past videos inspired me to launch my own twitch channel back in April. Since then, I've been growing slowly but surely, and have become an affiliate! Thank you soooo much for your wonderful advice in all of your vids. They really helped me.
I find it really funny that you brought up cows as an example of how to choose brand colors, cause I've been focusing on cows and similar stuff when it comes to branding, partially because its an aesthetic I like, but also because its something I don't see very often, which is part of why I think its neat you mentioned that theming, the fact that its fairly uncommon.
Randomly had inspiration to try and get back into streaming and possibly doing youtube again and found you. Its now officially 9am and i haven't gone to bed because I've enjoyed these videos. Thank you for bein' helpful!
Thank you so much for being there for all of us! Im recently thinking about restarting my channel from gacha videos to gacha streams and seeing you its such relief. Thank you ^^
This is such a good video- thank you! I want to share what is maybe a hot take- personally I find that while it is nice to have a very professional look to your brand, if the creator behind it seems less invested into their content then the amount of effort portrayed in the visuals (whether you made those visuals yourself or commissioned them) then I've personally found that stream to be offputting. A lot of the time when I see smaller streamers putting a lot of effort into the visuals or the branding they're not putting as much effort into the content. (Not saying for peeps not to do it, just saying to put as much love into your content as you do the visuals- being taken more seriously as a streamer can mean higher expectations)
hey! your content has been helping me so much and i would love love to see videos on starting your first ever stream (this feels the scariest to me??) and how to curate and manage a respectful and loving community (which i feel can be so hard as a woman)!!
definitely love the idea about focusing around building a respectful community as a woman, I struggled with that a lot throughout the first year of streaming.. I'll add that to my list!
I definitely could, but I made it with Adobe Photoshop + After Effects... so I'm not sure if I can teach a free method for it! I'll research around and see if I can find a free something that lets you animate like After Effects.... unless you don't mind the paywall for adobe?
It's actually just a regular old gaming chair my mom got me (it's black and bright blue ugh lmao) so I just have it covered with a small blanket! It's a fuzzy blanket I got an Amazon for like $15!
You're a smart kid. Nice work my friend. I've been streaming for almost 4 years on Twitch now! Your right on point with all of this! I'm Alikour on Twitch. What's your main game? I'm mostly Apex. Great video bud!
OMG it does ha e a makeup tutorial vibe from the title and thumbnail lmaooo I am gonna be doing a "stream makeup tutorial" soon, like the differences for all the lighting and showing up on webcam !
There's definitely gonna be a transition period where you're having to adjust your audience to your new name; but if you're having doubts early on it's best to dive into the name change as soon as possible. The longer you go under one name, the more rocky the name-change transition period will be since there's more people to try to alert that you're under a new name. I coached a twitch partner who has over 100k on youtube, and she ended up changing her username bc she had stuck with a username that she started creating under like 10 years ago; but she didn't vibe with it anymore. She's changed her name and fully rebranded and her audience celebrated along with her + now it really seems like her brand name truly defines her. (sorry I have a lot of thoughts about this lmao) Also people are still gonna be following you regardless of the name change, they might just see the new name and go "wait who's this?" so make sure for a couple months after the name change to keep stuff on your bio or profile somewhere that very clearly says what your previous name was one of my friends who rebranded keeps her discord name as "NEWNAME (OLDNAME)" so that people can associate her new name with her previous brand name, and then eventually phase out of it altogether
I use AnnyThingMTG for my brandname which is a acronym of my name and my fav game Magic the Gathering. It's really catchy and includes actually all those tips that u gave
I use tygar_meow, its a mix of my first and last name, and I have a deep love for cats. I also find it to be like a tiger that meows. Idk if thats good but I love it!
Im an animator and early on I realized I hate drawing and animating hands, but love big hoodies and jumpers. So a huge part of my style is having characters doing everything with sleeves covering their hands. Hence No Hands Just Sleevies.
As far as names go, my Channel is a mouthful, having come from an inside joke from our first ever video. WAFIOY, or we ain't figured it out yet. Makes us laugh, but it kinda garish in length and seems almost stupid. Now the five of us who stream and make the content are trying to figure out what in the world to change our name to from there.
@@HeyShadyLady thanks for the response! Honestly we were also thinking of keeping it as just like a tagline or something and adapting the name, but I would be a liar if I didn't say I enjoy our name. Now if only my dyslexia didn't make me good up the acronym all the time 😅
I appreciate the information. I am already deep, 5 months in and have 60 -75 subs. I am now tweaking, tweaking, tweaking. Also, I have numbers and decided to keep them, I don't want to change my name. I am CapnAmerica84 and I changed it, suffice it to say...my subs did not like me changing it

I was hooked when you called out all us perfectionists, as I am one. 😅 Thank you for the insightful advice! This is helping me tremendously!

I love how you take time to help us out. Because I be struggling on twitch studio lol. On behalf of everyone in the chat. We appreciate you
I needed to hear that psa to perfectionist, because I've wanted to give up some many times because of this. Another great video as usual thank you.
You're welcome! The perfectionist thing was to myself as well tehehehehe... sometimes you just gotta jump in without thinking too hard about it!

It's times like this I'm thankful that I'm an artist, it will save me a lot of trouble and cash if I'm able to make my own graphics

I think you're totally right, sometimes people can use it as a procrastination tactic from actually just doing the damn thing
I didn't know how easy it was to edit alerts! huge time save!!
Honestly tho! It's super convenient and easy 👀

Your videos are so well thought out and researched. Quality! Thankyou x

Can you please make a tutorial on how to create a starting soon scene like the one in the video?
