Honestly, following your channel and doing everything you've told me is how I've had consistent growth. I've been stream for a little less than two months and I already have over 150 followers and get a consistent 10 views and the average keeps going up. So thank you. You are helping immensely
I actually did this, I heavily hyped up a Phasmophobia stream ("one time and one time only!") because I'm a huge wuss and scared of anything horror. With just 3 different jumpscares and a very generous community I more than tripled my usual revenue. It is very difficult to come up with new and fresh ideas for something like this though.
Hey Eljay, just wanna say thank you. I reached Affiliate a few days ago, mostly because of your videos. When i started watching you I had like 0,5 Average and now I'm at three. I don't know if i'd still be Streaming if I hadn't discovered you. Huge Thanks, keep on going!
I have to say, your biggest strength is the (atleast seemingly) genuin feelings about streaming and creating content FOR your community. It's not about making money and growing for growing. You want to show up and have / make fun. Keep up the great work!
I love doing event streams as charity goals, as even if it doesn’t quite live up to people’s expectations, at least it was done for a good cause! Love the other tips so thank you 😊
9:32 I have a similar thing with a channel point "Stop right there, criminal streamer!" Where I let go of all controllers immediately (regardless of where I was holding them) and stop for 10 seconds. Can confirm it's a bit of a favourite so i'd highly recommend incorporating this sort of thing in stream, wether it's with bits or points :)
Seriously I‘m so glad that I know your channel. Started 5 days ago and achieved already all affiliate requirements except of 7 days streaming obviously. already at 60 followers it‘s insane. THANK YOU!
Wait, 2 Stream Schemes videos this week?! 🥳 Quick question Eljay, what are your thoughts on giveaways for sub goals? A Partner I know looks to be having a lot of success from having a sub goal and when hitting it does a Nintendo Switch giveaway on the last stream of the month. I’ve contemplated something similar, what are your thoughts on these type of giveaway goals? 🤔
Not a fan personally, a large segment of the people only stick around until the giveaways dry up sadly. When you’re established, it’s fine because you’ve got a back catalogue but growing with giveaways is detrimental.
@@StreamScheme That definitely makes sense, appreciate the insight dude, always love the high quality content and just mentioning that your videos really have helped me when I’m in my rut and they’re helping me currently to get out of one, thank you for the great videos Eljay! 🍻
Hey Eljay, really liked the video! I have a less streaming related question though. That subscribe button animation and that intro you have, were they made in Adobe after effects? Or another program? Thanks 😊
Watching your RUclips channel has not only made me any stream better, but also a more confident and intelligent streamer! Truly appreciate you and your content, much love!
Yo here's something I've been wondering about. Someone I know grew their stream by streaming "over night" hours bc it was less competitive. Now they're getting decently big and want to switch to more reasonable hours. I'm wondering about the best way to go about that. And if doing this is very risky, that's something you should tell people when advising them to pick a schedule and stick to it. In retrospect, maybe they'd have picked a different time slot despite the slower growth if not doing so means you can never stream during that time
The best bet: Pick 1 day in 2 weeks time, and say, "Hey! I am going to be doing a MASSIVE hype event on this day, we will be streaming at a different time but if you want to make sure you don't miss it then be there!" Push it every stream, reminders in socials, and discord. Then run the event, it honestly might still go badly due to the hard switch in time slot, but it is a starting point. From there, they decide if they want to keep that 1 day as the new time slot, or if they don't think they can do it.
I appreciate you quickly noting that while it is nice to make more money, it is important to do these things sparingly an in a way so viewers are getting value and not being milked. Respect! I strongly agree with making special sound alerts and setting them up yourself to save that 20% loss from widgets. P.S. I saw the Dark Souls stream live and that was a brilliant implementation!
I think implementation is incredibly important, if it is done wrong you just lose viewers. I wanted to be very clear but also didn't want to imply people who did it a lot were "bad." Hope it came across :) Glad you liked the DS stream! Hope you're well, Walfie!
Hey Eljay! 90% of the time I stream on twitch, I see my viewer count go from 2 to 3 to 2 to 3 again and this repeats for the whole stream. If I don't have any chatters, then how do I engage with those people that come in and out before I even know they are there? How do I hook them in, you could say? Also I've been watching your streams the past couple days and they are a blast!
I am having trouble with understanding something that has happened to me. I am in Aus and I got super lucky and my first 4 days of being an affiliate was insane and I got 76 Subs total and that should come out as 50% of that profit but instead it came out as 25% so I am super confused as to why. I haven't got a payment method yet as well but Twitch also says it has paid me. So I kinda panicked thinking all that money people gave just got wasted and they wasted their money (I only care about this as I is needed to upgrade to improve quality).
One of my latest channel point redeems makes Ryu from Street fighter uppercut my camera with a shoryuken and it sends my camera spinning. My viewers have loved it! I have other things affecting my stream visually and audiably that my viewers can use to engage with things and I have a lot of fun with it.
hey man great vid, i was thinking of creating a minecraft hardcore world, but viewers can use bits to do something, such as drop item in hand or a certain item, all the way up to deleting the world! i think this would be decent content and also have a bit of fun along the way...
Awesome video as usual! I tried doing a stream doing darkest dungeon and every character death i had to eat food with 3,000,000 Scoville hot sauce. It was brutal! Unfortunately I didn't hype it much beforehand. Thanks for all your tips!
I'm not an affiliate yet but I would take this advice, once I become an affiliate. You're videos really help me so much, I hope I'll grow my channel like yours!
hey man i am a mobile streamer and i can't figure out how to set up goals and the chat and stuff on my stream also half of the time my mic doesn't work. what do i do?
Hey hey! XD good to know I thought of the same thing as you for Phas and didnt even know it XD feels kinda good to be honest. However, I dont know how to make it a custom alert like you're talking about, I just have it in the sound alerts extension you were talking about
hey brother! I have a question man... is there a reason as to why my twitch revenue is going down?? it was at $170 then dropped to $144 which I found very very odd
Hey!! love the videos!! any advice for me, I dont seem to be growing into double digit average viewers. i have the odd stream where i will have 1 or 2 average and the odd one where I will get 5 or 6 average but other than that i float around the 3-4 mark.
I don't know enough about your stream to give you direct feedback, I recommend thinking about how people will discover you, and why they'd stick around or come back a different day. Think critically and carefully about your quality compared to others, then work to improve yourself :) #earlygang
@@StreamScheme thank you for the advice, yeah I wasn't expecting you to sit and watch a few vods or anything. I was expecting the advise to be on the generic side haha. I really appreciate it though!!
Amazing video! I think I have a great question to help everyone: how do you tell/show viewers what the different sound alerts or goals are, ones you can’t simply show on the overlay like multiple tiers of bits for sound alerts? In a way where it’s not all over your screen...or maybe it just should be always on screen? TYSM! Love the content and advice you’re the man!
When it comes to RUclips, I have several videos about figuring out what to post! As for other socials, it depends on the type of creator you are, try to find your unique voice! I personally don't post twitch clips anywhere, I think they are fairly useless content outside of discord and overlay in these videos. I hope that gives a starting point!
This is something I’ve implemented for over a year actually and it’s cool seeing different creators being innovative. I always felt gifting subs or bits didn’t have a lot of value so I am always looking on how to add value to users that want to use those features.
yeah people who get lots of subs and cheers don't seem to notice/care as much but when I got my first sub(well my only sub-) I literally didn't get over it for a whole week lmao
Aha you fool you thought I wouldn't return! I have yet another question! Do you plan on doing anything special for Pride month? That would be super cool, idk if I'd be able to make the stream but I'd defiantly watch the VOD. That would be really cool
They work as long as you have viewers, obviously it scales with your audience size and demographic. If you play a game like Minecraft with the majority of your stream viewers being Younger or Early Teens (that is what the data says) then obviously it is going to be less effective due to them not having incomes. It will work at different levels of effectiveness but it will work.
At your or even my size it can start adding up absolutely, I also earned $500USD in 2021 from ads. But Ads depend on so many factors that I wouldn't consider them something you could overly control. Run more ads to earn more, sure but you are also making the viewing experience worse in a way. Plus, while $500 is great it is miniscule compared to most other revenue funnels, AND compared to RUclips ads which are less invasive but earn a huge amount more. Would love to hear more about your split though, are ads are big part of your revenue from twitch?
Heyo eljay, i just wanted to say, every time I see your video being released, i click on it immediately over any other video. I am so pumped and can't wait til the five seconds ad is over, your videos are very encouraging and entertaining. Love it all eljay!!!!!!
My biggest stream (revenue wise) was a while ago, I was not affiliate but I set it up that if someone donated $10, I would eat a Carolina Reaper on stream. Not only that but to save on the viewers money, I would have it that if I threw an among us game, I had to eat one.
Is the tutorial to setup sound alerts directly into your SLOBS on the site? I have the sound alert extension already even though it doesn't get used yet, would like to learn other ways
It goes a long way, someone clicks your stream, gets a pre-roll and leaves! BUT if you run your own, they click, no pre-roll, and can see your content! #earlygang
What about some tips and tricks for someone streaming as a hobby?? I won't be looking to make a living from it. But I'd like to get a respectable amount of viewers.
I made a decent amount when I added everything in this video, otherwise I earn much less. I don’t stream and didn’t start streaming to earn money essentially, I did it for fun. I also don’t like twitch income because it relies on your audience paying you directly, I prefer RUclips funding this because it’s indirect and just takes viewers time to view ads. Hope that clarifies!
@@StreamScheme thank you for responding, and I hope you read this message. I'm about 5 months into twitch streaming, reaching affiliate, and I have watched a copious amount of your videos much help indeed. Most of what you say sounds pretty obvious, and some things I am coming to experience different. However, your video have shed light on lots of issues I am/was having. My biggest challenge currently is that I am NOT a gamer, not that I dont "like" games, they just arent my "main thing" so I dont understand the culture (seems like insults are the bnb of the language) I am more of an intellectual, but my current audience is only 12-20 years old. But they like my personality... so m6 question... How can I market and create content based on my strength when I'm not in a field that matches me? Do I need to scratch my following change everything and "start over". Or is tgere a way to adjust my approavh. Sorry this was so long.
Thank you so much for these videos. Honestly you’re videos have helped so much. I’m Meljoy65 on twitch, if you ever had a moment to have a look, any advice would be deeply appreciated. I’ve got some time off work atm so I’m trying to improve my content because I feel like I’ve plateaued a little. Thank you again though for all the content you make, it truly does help!
@@itsmichelebro777 Ohhhh I do recommend external platforms, but this is just Twitch-focused. Although a good OF is a good bet for a lot of creators. Though not really my thing hahaha
Must be nice to have an income. One that isn't based solely on what you make via twitch revenue. Making money isn't the main reason I stream, but it is part of something I focus on *because it is the only way* I can make any income right now. I know I probably shouldn't feel this way, but it always makes me feel like I'm supposed to be a horrible person for actually paying attention to my revenue. (And I have no ads run. From what I know, here in Germany, I can't even make money off of ads on twitch)

TL DR: NO PAIN NO GAIN
Not gonna lie, twitch ad revenue sucks. However I didn't know it stopped ads playing so that's cool to know. Gonna have to run them more
It goes a long way, someone clicks your stream, gets a pre-roll and leaves! BUT if you run your own, they click, no pre-roll, and can see your content! #earlygang
Great content! So 3 x 0 = 000. Let's go!
What about some tips and tricks for someone streaming as a hobby?? I won't be looking to make a living from it. But I'd like to get a respectable amount of viewers.
I have a dozens of videos about improving your stream :)
Dissing on “in it for the money” but begs for Subs and Alerts 😂😅 don’t worry I’m the same way I like money too
Every time you mention skillshare I get bummed because I already have a subscription 🤪
I can't wait to go from 1 cent to 3 cents :)
Early again for the good content
Double video week! Heck yeah! #earlygang
@@StreamScheme I noticed that, crazy stuff my man
Ad revenue on twitch is so bad it’s like 1$ after 1500 views of an ad
Dislikes are from people with pink and purple beard
I can always improve as well :) I take the dislikes on board and will do better!
That's ASSSUMING I'm making money 😎
If you put a hot tub stream.. you quintuple your revenue
STONKS!

love your blue eyes
About how much do you expect to pay an editor, let's say just 1 video a week
VERY subjective on the video type, amount they have to do, how much experience they have, etc.
stream idea play elden ring everytime I die I eat a ghost pepper
I wanna be a big time streamer
I saw John Snow once in your face and again my mind says you are so Chubbbbby for that 🥴
0 x 3 = 0 :)
Wait I'm lost... "I dont stream for revenue" meanwhile he makes 3k plus a week/month... easy to say when you ARE indeed making legit income no?
Step 1, get viewers in the first place
What is vegemite was it tasty :o
Vegemite is just salt and yeast... its good with lots of butter on toast... not great in other forms...
hi love you
Thank you so much for these videos.
👌
Hope it helps! :)
Here for the OF plug. 😂
OF?
@@StreamScheme OnlyFans.
@@itsmichelebro777 Ohhhh I do recommend external platforms, but this is just Twitch-focused. Although a good OF is a good bet for a lot of creators.
Though not really my thing hahaha
3 X 0 is still 0 😂😂😂
so basicly you do dum things for bits while playing and peolple pay for this lol crazy
Notification squad here let's gooooooo
Notifications help get those surprise double videos! #earlygang
#earlygang
#earlygang heck yeah!
