i relate 100% to feeling gaslit in that way. You might focus on one type of content bc you always get the highest views from it, but then your views might also not grow beyond that "peak"... so it's definitely difficult to assess. I felt that way about my Stardew content!
I think a general tip is to stay excited about the content you create! Have an exciting playthrough, that will keep your viewers invested and coming back! The most entertaining streams are always the ones where the streamer is truly having fun. If you're able to to keep your own fun going, i think it might result in growth too!!

love this!! thank you for sharing, i'm always really curious on how partners feel about this stuff and how their streaming journey went. it's super helpful :3 and congrats on everything you've achieved so far!

This was soooo helpful and wonderful. I have this stupid push inside of me that WANTS to be a partner but honestly no idea why. Like you said, there’s not much difference, so I’m not sure why it feels so important

it's good to see a streamer making content outside of streaming. anyway, the 75 average is misleading. it's a bare minimum just to apply. partner pushing is counter-productive and unhealthy. even if you succeed, you are likely to lose a lot of that extra support that consisted of people going out of their way to be there for the sake of the push. it's the opposite of what twitch wants to see in a potential partner level streamer

You share some great points!!! I just wanted to add my extra 2 cents:
Partner pushing does feel counter productive, because like I explained, Twitch wants to make sure you get to that 75 avg viewer threshold without help, and here we are asking for help lol... However, 75 is an arbitrary number. A streamer could be averaging 65 viewers for MONTHS, but never hit that 75 mark and therefore is unable to apply. What is the difference *really* between a 75 and 65 average? What makes one more deserving of applying than the other? I think it's in scenarios like these where partner pushing feels necessary bc Twitch quite frankly is awful with discovery and promoting their streamers.
The dip in viewers after pushing is real, that's so true... but in the process of pushing, you most definitely will meet new people, make new friends, and grow your community, and that's a positive to focus on ❤️ (but also rip your mental health lol)
