I remember watching the first "how to be a streamer" video a few years ago. It took me a year to finally give streaming an earnest try. And took about another year to pick up any sort of traction (largely through tiktok and youtube shorts). I just hit 100k followers on youtube this week and this upcoming March will mark my year anniversary of full time doing this stuff. Thanks for the advice. Strange journey. High five.
This stream came at the perfect time for me. Yesterday was the first time I felt confident to have a facecam while streaming on twitch. I'm so glad Ludwig makes videos like this for aspiring creators :)
I started watching you because of the first Streaming guide you made. I believe you are a craftier businessman than you are given credit for. Great guide and great advice.
The first video he made on "How to be a streamer" is actually 100% of the reason I became one. I actually owe so much gratitude to this man. Much love Ludwig❤
1:08:11 Obviously he switched something around (or had a lot of luck). I was the exact same way and didn't wind up doing shit. Anyways, loved the updated guide. Always a treat to see some people go really in depth with it rather than just the "get yourself out there and try" that most streamers push. This is essentially that too, but at least with data and examples.
Hey Ludwig, I just wanted to say thank you for this video. I started making RUclips videos because of your last "How to be a streamer" video. My goals are to: Learn how to make good videos that people can enjoy.(not quite there yet but I'm learning) Get a decent youtube following Start streaming regularly (I streamed for about 4-5 months daily on twitch to zero viewers, but I at least did it so I'm proud of that.) Ultimately I just want a job that I enjoy and that can help me support myself and help my parents retire, while making the lives of others better. It's more challenging than I thought it would be. I didn't think it would be this hard to work full time and balance making content. But I think I'm learning a lot. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you, because even if I don't achieve my goals, you at least gave me something to focus on, put my energy into and some hope. I hope one day I can shake your hand and actually thank you in person. But we'll see lol.
Thank you for this Lud. I did this last year and gained 20k subs in 2023 with your strategies. Manifest is real. This year I want to make enough to support myself, be a better man, and improve my editing. You and DougDoug are my inspiration. And I have dreamed of doing this job since I was 15. I am now 20 full sending this career to the fullest in 2024. Thanks again you're the best!
Great video! I've been streaming for about 3.5 years now. I remember watching your original video all that time ago, taking notes of everything I can (I might still have the paper lying around somewhere too?) Over time I've had my highs and lows, euphoria and becoming jaded; it's true what he says about this being a grind, it will test parts of you that you didn't know existed. That being said, I wouldn't trade my experiences for the world. It was kinda nice watching this video and in a way being treated like a newblood again. As it turns out, some things I've been doing right but some things I need work on. I was kind of afraid going in that I'd find out I'm doing everything wrong - or worse finding out that longform content (my personal least favorite part) is somehow key for growth - but it's a breath of fresh air knowing what exactly I could be doing better. At the very least, I get to set up a gameplan or something! Honestly, I'm not sure how long I'll be doing this. Currently going through a quarter-life crisis so as you can imagine, my mental has been.... well, it could be better LOL Still, I'm excited to see what could happen if I work on the things I need to. Again, great video, hope it reaches all the right people :) Also Ludwig if you ever want a small streamer on your channel then uh hey aha hmu, screamingfroggi ttv aha 😏🤪🤔🤫🤨😝
I wonder how many streamers that took his advice actually became "successful" in the 3 years from the 1st video Like did Jynxzi or CaseOh secretly watch his video or how many actually became partnered streamers/youtubers
Lud, I think the more important aspect for up and comers is the fact that there are tons of numbers in between what you made in one year on twitch vs day one streaming. Some of us would be insanely happy making 50k fromstreaming, let alone 300k.
I remember writing down my list of streamers that inspired me on pen and paper just like you said to in one of the previous streamer tutorials. Since then I've grown my channel to almost 50k in a year and a half and I'm super grateful. Writing this before watching the vod but I'll be taking notes! Great work Lud!
I watched and studied your last video. Took notes I still have in my phone. I’m 3 weeks in to my current stream push (the big one) and I’m going to see what I’ve been doing right and what I need to tweak further based on this video. Thank you so much for all the help you’ve already given me so for and continuing to do so, you’ve inspired thousands and I hope one day I can thank you in person ❤
Started to get 5 concurrent viewers and I feel like I'm on my way to the top. Thats obviously not a lot but I know I'm going somewhere. I will continue to stay consistent.
My main goal with my streaming and RUclips is to have fun while making money as my job. Get to have fun with my chat play games with them. And get to meet cool people. Overall I would love to have fun with my job
All i want is a cool community to hang out with while i play games. As a kid i wanted to be a talk show host and this is about as close as i think i could get.
Honestly glad I gave streaming a shot back when I was in college. It helped me a ton with being able to speak more concisely and my experience as a streamer helped me land a job as an engineer and got me a teaching gig at my college. Pretty satisfied with how it turned out, even if I stopped streaming. Thanks for the tips you gave back in the day Lud!
This is filled to the brim with valuable knowledge...! It will definitely be used as the next definitive guide on how to be a streamer for years to come! You're the only one who actually does things like this, so thank you so much!!!
When you're out of sight In my mind … 'Cause sometimes I look in her eyes And that's where I find a glimpse of Dubbin. And I try to fall for her touch But I'm thinking of the way it was Said I'm fine and said I moved on I'm only here passing time in her arms Hoping I'll find A glimpse of Dubbin
1:00:12 It's disrespectful in my mind that you don't have advice for people who don't have people who love them to share their work with. Checkmark, Luds.
Craziest thing about this entire video is that all this shit is free, bro just gave all the sauce for free. This is what separates Ludwig from everyone else for me😃
What if you are serious about it but your internet just isn't good enough to stream? I can barely watch a RUclips video for more than 15 seconds on 480p without it buffering to catch up sometimes.
Hey, I know you probably won't answer, but, i'm like pretty young and I'm asking ms how to stream even if like my whole familly is always near. When they talk to me about it later, it cringes me out and make me wanne quit

Damn that’s so cool
1 years and 100k damn n
I love your content cinder! Keep it up!
dude really said he hopes to see you on Epstein’s list shit was funny lmao
Damn, congratulations!

lud should clone himself and see if he can get his clone to become the biggest twitch streamer in the world
I’m starting to think that Mogul Mail guy might be doing just that
Would make a crazy video though
@@SageEnds He only makes youtube videos. Hopefully he does streaming too
A VTuver version of Lud could test that. But the VTuber crowd would be very different to become successful in.
@@Cyphule at this point istg we’re never getting Vtuber Ludwig
even for someone who doesn’t want to stream this was crazy inspirational, literally just go fucking do whatever its that simple
Ludwig is going to create an entire generation of Twitch streamers 💀

Honestly this is probably the kick in the butt I needed. There’s so much to it than just showing up. Thanks Ludwig!
Dude same I just needed to hear it I wish I had a partner for videos/streaming to hold me countable
@@deehoffeeit’s great to have friends that do what you do to inspire you, but that accountability has to come from within. Good luck on your journey!
Actually mad respect for lud going through all this info especially his own fincials that’s crazy

I started last year, and I am growing very slowly. I think it is my topic... idk. Thanks for the advices, hope this year I will grow a bit faster.
Imagine liking, listen Ludwig talking, so much, that you watch a full VOD instead of 20 min video. ❤
the passion luddy has when he's going through this is great. You can tell how much he truly enjoys what he does.
huh, how neat! i emailed you recently about whether to start on youtube or twitch. been waiting for a reply, and now this dropped lol.
Insane guide, will be the next biggest streamer/youtuber for sure and it will be all thanks to you

You convinced me to go live before watching the rest of the video. Thank you. 🙂
This is gold for any future aspiring streamer. I'm gonna do some streams I think!

This is actually really perfect timing with this coming out because I started streaming a month ago, Lud a real one o7

This was a Masterclass. Thanks Lud!
I love streams like this
52:28 real
This was so real n inspiring🤙🏻
1:01:57 how did I miss that 😂
Since you asked a hundred streamers you could’ve done a family feud type thing, hell you still could and I would watch
Still look at my notes from the last one every single day, stoked to have an update
legit gonna go live rn thanks luddo
You inspired me to go straight home, get on cam, and sploog
Where did the OG video go? Did it get taken down?
Was literally watching the other video only yesterday!
1:00:12 It's disrespectful in my mind that you don't have advice for people who don't have people who love them to share their work with.

sitting and writing down notes like im in a lecture. here’s to hoping gang.

What if you are serious about it but your internet just isn't good enough to stream? I can barely watch a RUclips video for more than 15 seconds on 480p without it buffering to catch up sometimes.
You can't do it then
Man I was on board until it was "Show friends and family" Ohhhh no I don't want anyone I know seeing me talk to no one like an idiot.
Been waiting for this tbh
Ludwig almost made me quit my job
Blud said he has 100 friends
Streamer=
= Ambassador
Why?
1. Imperfect action😊
Stream[ing]*
The thing 😮
Streamlining
- book,movie,anime(background)-context
The biggest commonality between the most massive streamers is being obnoxious and catering to children.
So how do I get the grilled chicken salad?
dusting off stream seriously for the first time in 2 years. hoping we can crack the davinci code this time around
Good stream!
No 😡
Every month, we're gonna watch a new book 😂
I also can’t upgrade :(
But can you kickflip?
He so wise
yo
W lud👏🏽
That pie chart oof
Hey, I know you probably won't answer, but, i'm like pretty young and I'm asking ms how to stream even if like my whole familly is always near. When they talk to me about it later, it cringes me out and make me wanne quit
Hello.
Thank you.
nobody does it like lud
for the females: beware sex-trafficky vibes when streaming
he only named 28 people lol mf thought we wouldn't notice
March 7th threw me off lmao
My goal is to be rich to be able to pay my mom's treatment, is so fucking expensive that she is done with her life and is so fucking sad
