Go ahead, Ryoma. Enemy Phase my game just like in Fire Emblem Birthright and Revelations.

  • I don't actually bear any ill will towards this character, of course, that would be absurd.
Behold, max stats Ryoma and his wife Charlotte. Or was it Rinkah? I forget. I think I paired him with Rinkah in one run and Charlotte in another. Anyway I gave him all the best skills and his Raijinto by another name and his strongest Pair-Up Bot and even if he wasn't one-shotting these Skeletons with poisoned weapons, being attacked from all angles would still be too much for him.
"What if he had Life And Death?"
    He'd die faster.
"What if he had great skills from the General class?"
That'd reduce damage taken from attacks, but it wouldn't affect effect damage, and that's what Poison Strike inflicts.
"Shouldn't Poisoned Strike only damage you if you fail to KO the foe with it in one turn?"
No, that's stupid, why would poison in you and on his blade magically stop affecting you just because he dropped his blade?
    "Why doesn't he have Vantage?"
Because in my game Vantage only triggers for the first battle each Enemy Phase. Unless it's the Vantage applied by specific weapon effects like ranged weapons countering attacks from inferior ranges first.
"Why did you make this video?"
After checking if the OP setup that trivialized Birthright and Revelations can work in my game, I wanted to show it to other people. Maybe I'll make this a plot point in my game. You trudge slowly through heavy snow or a vicious desert sandstorm and rush to a village attacked by Monsters just in time to see its two strongest warriors fail to defeat alone what your entire squad must defeat. And then you meet who they were protecting.
"Why don't they have the right sprites?"
Ryoma and Charlotte/Rinkah aren't in this game.

Well duh he died, he’s supposed to have super vantage (enemy immediately dies upon entering this unit’s attack range)

Yep, even the best soldier will fall when outnumbered and surrounded.

Giving all these different skills identical icons sure is a decision

I played on Lunatic but maybe he just got absurdly stat blessed on my run in the stats that mattered. He solod so many enemy groups, having him around felt like easy mode.

He’s just as broken in Rev

@@TheLonelyNihilego No he's not due to Rev having stronger enemies both in stats and composition. He's still a great unit but can't compare to better units like Xander, Fuga, Speedstacked Leo, Shura, etc

@@oof5992 Xander SUPER fell off in my only two Rev playthroughs. I blame RNG growths.

Poison blow really sucks for a lot of unit types in Fates. It's fun to use for sure, but yeah

Poison Blow is one of those skills meant to ensure enemies can stay threatening even if you're using every advantage and option to get your stats as high as possible.
