- Mods: K20 Civic Si Head K24 Block Motor: 260hp- H beam rods, acl race bearings, rebuilt motor. RBC intake manifold, Custom CAI. RBC intake port matched to the 70MM TB. K20 50 degree VTC gear. Tuned to 7900 rpm.
Vtec kicks in at about 3700 RPM, K20 oil pump.
KPRO V3, Honda LSD 4.7 FD 6 Speed
410cc RDX injectors
Exhaust: Skunk 2 Alpha header, Kteller 3" piping, vibrant ultra resonator to vibrant muffler.
Stage 5 XTD Clutch, Lightweight flywheel
It has type R lower control arms, torque motor mounts, energy suspension bushings, Megan adjustable coilovers. & power steering delete. Speedo off by 8mph (because of the Si trans)
Tires: Crappy chinese tires with good tread, lol.

Stock internals don’t need to be changed out to aftermarket ones until after you break at least 300hp-330hp shit I’ve seen bone stock Ks do 450+ all stock
You can't make 300whp on a K engine without opening it (if you stay NA)

Even though I currently don't have a manual I will soon. I drive my friends type s time to time and it is probably one of the easiest manual cars to drive as far as my experience. It's lite as hell and easy to shift through the gear.

Nice ride bro!! I just picked up a 02 type-s when my 04 accords (K24A4) computer died. Put on a AEM Sri the 1st weekend of ownership. I’m thinkin about mating my K24A4 accord block with my type-s head plus hondata tuning a K-tuned header with a Spoon N-1 exhaust.
Anthony Santa Ana thanks! Make sure you build that block or you'll make less power than a Type S unless you up the compression. Also I recommend a cold air intake to prevent heat soak and make more power. Good luck with your build.
Thanks for the info bro! I’m lookin into the endless amount of options n thought a Frankenstein build would be nice. I was told the type-s internals would work on the k24 block I have. As for the cai I know it’s a better option but the sri tends to work well here in the mild weather of Salinas Cali. What’s next for your build? Are you satisfied? Either way if I complete the k20/24 build or not I’m goin for a supercharger soon.

+Steve illest I went to a car meet, recorded two races, took out my micro SD card and lost it somewhere.. Then, my car started misfiring, I did everything I could and it didn't fix the problem. So, I got it retuned at Redline performance, and it seemed to be running good. But, the same day, my shifter cable broke and now it's sitting as I wait for a machine shop to create a part that will be holding it together. In addition to that, my parents took my car off the insurance, and won't even let me pay for it, told me I have to get my own coverage which will be expensive as hell.. Ah, just my luck. I'm going to work more hours and try to get this stuff together, and then I'll try to make more videos of it. Thanks for watching :)

I got even more problems after I replaced the shift cable, went to drag strip, car got stuck in 5th, drove it back by slipping the clutch but it was a bad idea, clutch is done. Found reverse lockout issue and bought a used part to replace it, getting DF391200 clutch, and will be finally back on the road, hoping to get some new Bridgestone Potenza RE-11's as well

I can pretty much run this exact same set up on my 02 civic si ep3 right? K20a2 head and K24 block from the tsx.
Will i be able to bolt that same head on a k24z7....or will i get interference?
I only want the head on there, i like my drive by wire and i have a j35 throttlebody sitting doing nothing.
Can i put the head on and can i swap my vtc and gear from my 12 Civic si on to the cam of that a2?

If you're ever in the new york area, look for my black Mustang II, as seen on my channel. There are no others around. lol I always like to play on the street, if I can keep the tires from melting at 50 mph. 530hp in a 2450lb Mustang II is hard to hook. My V8 is small but gets it done at 8500.

Yo whats your build setup i have a k20z1 with weseco pistons 11.7.1, skunk2 alpha series valves spring retainers, acl rod and main bearings, supertech valve guides, arp head studs, skunk2 stage2 tuner series cams, skunk2 pro flat valves, cai, stock injectors ,stock fuel pump, megan racing shorty header to a 2.5 inch exhaust. if i swap a rbc intake manifold and 72mm throttle body and bigger injectors and better fuel pump how much power you think i would make ?

Did you raised the idle to compensate from the lightweight flywheel i have an 07 si k24/k20 and its stalls when i come to a stop after the lightweight flywheel
you can tune that out a bit, also don't relase the clutch unless you are at idle. What's your idle set at?

lifenz1 Yeah I got those exact tires, only 225s on stock wheels, definitely helped it hook up, but still spun on the launch, with fwd and k24, R888R or drag tires is pretty much the only reliable option that would let the car hook

nice build! what compression and fuel you running? im building a frank , with 12:5:1 compression, stock type S head. full bolt on, built k24 block. on 91pump. curious what power i will be pushing.
jonathan gomez thanks, if you don't have upgraded cams it should make around 260whp I was running stock compression on this motor and 93, but my new build is 12:5:1 k24/k20, this motor here blew up. Been having tranny issues so haven't uploaded much on the new build though

JD K24 yeah but k24a4 isn't as high compression so you won't see as much benefit as a tsx block

jose castro Feels like an on and off switch, pretty hard to not chirp the tires or otherwise stall, there's no slip/travel to it, it's better for drag racing..
I have a stage 3 clutch in my 05 type s and I concur about the lack of travel... there's almost no room for error...a little slip would be nice, especially sitting in rush hour traffic on LA freeways. I can't let anyone drive my car because they stall out. On the flip side, I thoroughly enjoy my clutch when I'm driving through mountain passes. It's definitely spec'd for the track. Don't know about drag races...who drags an RSX?! Lol

Casey B I assume he had the holes welded. That's what I did to shave mine and A lil bondo. Be careful the metal is real thin and it warps easy took some time to make it straight again.

Stock has about 125 hp...
What do you recommend for me as far as parts go? I would like to get up to 160-170whp...
I was thinking about an CAI, headers, cat-delate, and catback system. Then can just have my factory ecu tuned to match those parts, or do i have to get me a new kind of ecu for that?

What did you end up doing to it? That’s what I wanna know. I’ve got a D16Y8 EM1 coupe that has a choochoo whistle and a tune. But if you wanna stay N/A I recommend a cam, headers, an intake, an exhaust, and an AEM/ HONDATA ECU for tuning. You’ll get to about 200 depending on if you wanna get head work done along with intake and throttle body work. Open those ports up and it becomes a different animal

levi cruz I'm going with a 6262, it's the best balance between power and responsiveness. If you want quicker spoolup and still have the capability of making pretty big power, 5858, or for more top end big power, I recommend the 6266 or 6766

levi cruz No problem. K20 or K24 it doesn't matter, layout is the same. You can get 2.5"/2.75" piping with clamps and silicone hoses from CXracing separately if you message them on eBay for about $300, you can also get the KMOD 3" piping kit which I recommend for $500+shipping, and full race sells it too along with their intercooler but I'm not sure how much it is without the intercooler, the intercooler itself is quite expensive at about $900 though.

Geo Gabri Tune it or put it together? I don't recommend trying to tune it yourself without experience, best you can do is run a basemap until you find the money/time to go to a good tuner.
