- On this episode we feature Kevin's 2003 Turbo Acura RSX Type-S. This car makes north of 950WHP on 45PSI of boost and is an absolute animal on the street/track. This might just be the perfect balance for a street/strip RSX. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

For them to be almost 20 years old . They really have a timeless design . Sleek body . Aggressive V- shaped front end , just amazing . I have one myself and i love it
My god, back in my days when I had a 02 RSX Type-S, we danced like the stars on getting close to 200WHP all motor. In other cases other friends that got 400WHP turbo'd it was considered a monster. Now today 950HP in a damn DC5, this is the Devil's RSX.
The shittiest intake head exhaust and tune gets the motor at least 210-230 they make power easy
It comes with 200hp stock (I guess at the crank?)
@@rdooski yes that's stock at the crank. Dyno results back then ranged from 150-165whp on a stock K20

@The Ugliest Man Alive The thing to worry about is if the manual transmission will still be around. Way too many cars nowadays switching to CVT and auto. With people wanting *barf* crossover SUV's it's killing manual off a very slow death.

This was my car!! Bought it from an Acura dealership in 2006 and sold it in 2008. The guy I sold it to recently sent this to me. Glad it’s in good hands

@@JedETaleon lol congrats man, I never ended up getting a DC5 but I had a DC2 ITR 5 years ago. I sold it for a BNR32 GT-R and have been kicking myself ever since. Definitely the worst mistake I've ever made 😩

Honda is so underrated, I've always been a fan of a small motor putting down V8 power.
It's not really underrated, considering their fanbase is huge.
@@interceptingfist5682 I just don't think that people understand how special Honda is when fabricating these small 4 cylinder motors.
I built this same exact RSX in nfs heat, down to the wheel, stance, tires and decals on the windows and of course the HP.
I also recently bought a type S in real life as a project car, so this also gives me inspiration.
I've sipped for every time the limiter hit and it took me 25 minutes to type this message. Nicely done.

I've got an 04' Type S that's been my daily driver for about 12yrs. Only about 60k miles on it (I've always lived walking distance to work). I really love my RSX, the way it looks, and also how it runs and handles. I'm gonna drive this thing forever!

Why do i enjoy these videos of sick hondad more than videos of fast supras and skylines? Probably because im tired of "mainstream cars" and aldo because i have a fwd car myself, Saab 9000 Aero on 1.2 bar boost pushing around 300 horse :)
Rsx was forgotten too easily when then tsx, tl, and newer si came out. Its still an amazing car.

Now that you mention that... I thought tracks kick you out for doing 10s without a cage. I saw one video of a a guy with a Supra, something about too fast for the track. He got kicked out after 1 pass and they said he needed a racing license and a cage.

@@kevinalbarran233 I first though that it would suck because you would have to remove a lot of the interior but you did say in the video you were going to go full race car anyway, lol.
I didn't know about the parachute was a mandatory part. That is definitely the most extreme modification. I thought it was only needed when getting rid of rear brakes or something.
SI0AX yeah man, parachute is required after 150mph trap speed, and with me being pretty close, they mentioned it to me

The RSX type s was and always will be one of my favorite cars. I had an RSX but sold it cause it wasn’t clean and I was sick of working on it. If I could have a black type s or white, and my blue 8th gen and one eg hatch in that nice green I’m happy. That’s all I need. 8th gen all motor, type s turbo, eg would have a jet engine in it lmao

Not likely, the only RSX that did 32mpg was the 5 speed base, the 6 speed runs in premium gas and gets around 28mpg, might have to do with the aggressive cams and performance I-Vtec they installed on the K20a2-k20z3, and the automatic base barely made 30mpg.
I doubt a turbo'd 4 cyl is getting anything close to 20 MPG, let alone 30 lol

a type s is not a type r, and the type s isn't only restricted to america but they are different to elsewheres type s'. Source? australian who owns one aha
In Japan it's considered a Honda Integra Type R, in America they labeled it Acura RSX DC5 Type S. Ridiculous but it's the same label, RSX=Integra Acura doesn't care for model names, also Japan doesn't have an EGR and other emmission restrictions which bumps up the HP to 210(TypeR) instead of 200(typeS)
Eduardo Diaz maybe they were trying to keep them from getting stolen left and right lol! And I think they had the all red interior in Japan?
@@SonOvaSon they already built an Engine Immobilizer in the ECU of the 2002-06 RSX(Integra), so they were unable to be stolen so easily, and yes the Integra 02-06 had Recaro Red Seats.

And here is Aus our type s is more powerful than our type r, as our type r didn't even get the good k20a
