I have this gem in the same color which i had to wait for when i ordered mine in march 2002, it's called Arctic Blue Pearl, 450,000mi and i still have it, ironically i took it apart for an awd boosted k24 transformation and now learned a shitload on everything to make it reliably possible, special thanks to Javier and his crew at TRC!

I’ve driven a lot of manual transmission vehicles, and the RSX demands so much precision when shifting gears… And that demand is amplified when you start adding a little power to it. Best car I ever owned, and I put it into a tree at 60 mph… Love the RSX and always will. Great build

I bought a k20a2 engine bout 7 years ago from the JDM warehouse in Japan, paid the fees to get it imported here to America whem I was 17. I did a simple build on it for my Honda Civic that I blew my motor in racing a V8 mustang, won by the way with a hole in the block and a thrown rod. I got rifd of the civic due to money issues, growing uo a bit amd had to make adult decisions but i pulled that motor and saved it. Here I am today 30 years old, bought a house and I'm ready to get back to that engine. Reason why I say that for this video, is I bought a Acura rsx type s with the k24, because it's time to bring that k20 to the next level. This video gets me hyped cause my dre build is this but compound turbos. I won't be happy till I reach or breach 1200hp. Just goes to show real car guys never grow up, we still love our toys. I'm just happy I was smart enough as a teenager to save that motor I spent a lot of money on, my older self definitely loves that I did that!

I had a fbo 02 rsx-s from 2005-2007, to this day its one of my all time favorite cars, the only thing I didnt like about it was the fwd but yall have fixed that 😂
I had been trying to get some things together to do an AWD RSX build. It would be absolutely awesome if I can WIN this one! This thing is coming home to Virginia! 😁👍
I am not trying to talk shit here, but you should re-pack the bearings in that AWD kit because they arent packed with grease properly if all you did was lay a little over the top and spin them around. To properly pack a bearing you need to stuff it full of grease then remove the excess and install, there are tools you can use but its best to just put the bearing grease in the palm of your hand and hold the bearing with the other, and ahove the grease in all around it.
@@melenaduarte4361 This car is gonna be pretty brutal to make streetable and daily driver friendly.. Pretty sure it has a slipper clutch and very agressive cams.. Is it vtec killer as well? Ill have to rewatch the build vid again, but yeah, this car would be pretty unusable to drive everyday.. My dc5 is the complete opposite of this.. Super comfortable, 600whp, PPG helical syncro trans, with stock cams. Its wonderful.. Has electric AC and PS, and has remote height and dampening controlled Bilstein suspension.. I also had the entire chassis professionally sound deadened and reclipped.. So super quiet in-cabin and no rattle at all.
The car is very streetable, full interor, a/c, electric p/s, rides great, very streetable driving experience. The exhaust isnt too bad either, until you step on it 😎
It’s a beast for sure! But specifically for this reason we’ve programmed it to have a boost setting as low as 500HP, so the new owner can enjoy it and turn it up if they chose to. We’ll have another video releasing on a full walkthrough of the cars features soon 😎🤘
Honda should have made the integra awd from the beginning. That k20 motor is to powerful for front wheel drive. I'm always breaking my difrential drives And damaged my transmission too So I used honda s200000 parts for awd power train 😮

I grew up with b16 and b18 being the bees knees. But the power you can get out of a K motor is crazy.

My first car was a silver 2006 RSX in ‘06. Loved my car drove it 150,000 miles with zero issues. Miss it a lot I may just buy one to restore.

Is there any limitation as why you cannot route exhaust underneath the car? Is it because of driveshaft?
A hood exit gives you the king Kong level of power making as opposed to any full exhaust, you can still run a fabbed full exhaust with this setup
U could still put a full exhaust ppl just rather a hood exit

In order to do that you would have to oval the exhaust which would restrict and limit horsepower.

I would turn that engine down and a proper exhaust make it more streetable cause damn that is one hell of a clean rsx.
