I’ve owned my Husky mats for 22 years and still going strong.
5 years with Weathertech in my F250 and I am still VERY satisfied.
I know for a fact that our WeatherTech floor mats in our Jeep can handle a spilled Route 44 Sweet Tea without getting the carpet below wet.
I very much appreciate all of your content regarding the new truck and accessories. We will be upgrading our truck in the next few months and have found your information invaluable! Bravo Zulu!
I like the OEM mats. I live with snow in the winter on a daily basis, getting in and out multiple times a day and have no issues. My opinion is the oem mats are better than the weather tech based on feel (weight and durometer) . I like the heavier mat (less likely to move even though they are button'ed in). My only issue now is the drivers mat i'm starting to wear through where my heel rests after 40k miles.
I put Weathertechs in every vehicle I own... Except my '18 F150 Lariat that came with the Ford all weather mats. I had no problem with my Ford mats, but they looked more like Weathertechs than your SuperDuty mats. I still put Weathertechs in everything. As a bonus, the Weathertechs are made in the USA. The Ford mats probably aren't.
I was about ready to give up on WeatherTech because over time the edges curled up. That was their FloorLiner model. Then they came out with the FloorLiner HP. The HP model is thicker soft rubber that doesn't curl up. Very happy with the new model of Weather Tech floorliner. Very superior to the OEM floor mats.
weathertec would be great especially during snowy seasons when bringing in all that slush off your boots.
I had all weather floor mats in my Jeep Cherokee, and they held up very well. When I upgraded vehicles to the Grand Cherokee and it only had the carpeted floor mats I instantly upgraded to the WeatherTech and have been very happy.
Husky floor Matt's are my choice 100%
I love my weathertech mats but on the edge of the mats where you get into the truck they are curled. Other than that I love them and my older weathertech mats did not do this
I love my Weathertech mats, even after being in my truck for 14 years. Never had other brands so can't comment on them.
I went with Tux Mat this time around. Been a WeatherTech user forever…. Have the Tux in the car and like them but we will see how they hold up in the truck.
I’ve had these for 18 months and they are the best.
5 years ago I put Weather Tech mats in my XJ - when I bought my Nissan Frontier PRO4X, I didn't hesitate ordering them again
Yeah. I’m a Huskyliner guy for a few years. But the Weathertech is a great choice, hands down. About the only OEM that offers a superior mat than the aftermarket are the Jeep Wrangler mats.
I believe the factory Ford mats are intentionally smaller, so they don't cover the scuff plates on the front driver and passenger sides, like the Weather Tech and Husky mats will. If you have a Limited Edition, those scuff plates will illuminate when the front driver or passenger doors are opened. I've owned all 3 brands, and prefer the Weather Tech. When I purchased my 2023 F-450, the Weather Tech were sold out, so I went with the Husky. So far, I'm happy with them.
The non OEM mays are definitely more protective. But the OEM quality and feel and the overall sleek look is what makes them better overall. Unless you are regularly working in muddy or snowy conditions, i would take the OEM mats.
I've had the same set of weather tech mats in my 2011, 2016, 2018 Dodge Journey they're still holding up great. They're my go-to gift for people.
Hopefully you got points from your dealer for the purchase of your new truck. It should be several hundred dollars worth. If not, contact the dealer asap!!!
I had weathertech in my last 2 trucks and loved them. New truck is a 2022 Ram 2500 diesel that came with RAM mats. Those are as heavy duty as the weathertech are. I have to move the seat back to get the driver's mat out.
I have a set of weather tech mats in my 2014 f350. They are 6 years old and do exactly as you say. The fit is not as exact as I would like be it is a great product. The carpet under and around them looks the way it did the day purchased the truck.
I was all about the weather tech (after watching your videos) when ordering my 2022 but seeing them in the flesh I was extremely disappointed as to how plasticy and hard they were. Ordered the factory rubber mats. Yes they have less coverage, but the rubber is much softer/pliable/ richer feeling. AND they have saved my carpets from spills many times. Perhaps they upped their game in the last 2 years? I would do the factory mats again in a heartbeat!
My F350 truck came with Ford OEM floor mats. I like them. When they wear out or get damaged, I would at least consider another brand. But, I wouldn’t replace my current mats just to upgrade. For me, it’s not worth spending the money while I have a working product.
I have the Weathertechs in my 2023 F350 DRW and love them. I only wish the texture was more conducive to cleaning
I ordered my truck with a carpet delete so you get the Ford mats by default. The rear mat would not stay in place and I upgraded to weathertech front and rear. I may go back to the Ford mat in the front, but the weathertech rear is far superior.
Super duty mats in the summer. Weather tech in the winter. Problem solved 😊
I was surprised by your comment that the Husky mats felt more "plasticy" than the Weather Techs. I bought Husky floor liners for my 2018 Ford truck because I liked the rubber feel of the Husky's better than the Weather Techs. I'm getting ready to order a new F350 when they start taking orders for the 25 models so I guess I need to do my research all over again.
Tuxmats are even better!
They’re made in China, I’d rather support a USA product like Weather Tech
I love my weather-tech front mats. In the rear is a husky and it’s more pliable, both work better than the ford OEM.
Very nice content. Glad I chose Weathertech but I wish it didn’t cover the KR logo on the door sill.
WhetherTech Floor Liner HP are the way to go. They are thick molded rubber, flexible and fit perfect. Happy with them in my 2024 3500 Silverado.
There are two styles of weather tech for some vehicles. The one that has the inlay weather tech logo feels more plastic-ey but I’ve had several of weather tech mats in multiple vehicle and no curling. Only issue I’ve had is one of the retainer clips stopped working on the driver side mat.
I got the Ford mats for my new super duty mainly because aftermarket things to me give a cheap feeling. That being said I do wish the driver’s mat went up under the pedals farther.
Ok. A different perspective. I've always gone with carpeted mats. But then I'm not as picky as some either.
I had a set of Weathertech for over ten years in my Silverado and just bought a set for my new Super Duty. I think they’re great!
3Ws from Amazon are the best and it's not close.
Perect balance of flexibility and rigidity, look great, awesome coverage, easy to clean, relatively soft and rubbery (not plastic) texture, lightweight but tough and much cheaper than Wheathertech.
WeatherTech. I have the bedliner too.
We ordered our 24' with the additional weather mats from Ford, but there are 2 different versions, one has a wider mat that comes out to the sill , and I belive the others are the ones you have.
I have Weather Tech in a couple of my vehicles and love them
I’m not a big fan of the stiff floor mats, we ad them in our EMA vehicles and I felt like my foot would hang up on them and I’d fall out !!😂😋😋
Got rid of my Ford oem mats for Husky in my 19' F150 Lariat. Superior product compared to Ford,I find the actual floor coverage better
I am disappointed with the Ford weather mats on my 2023. My MOPAR mats on my old Ram 1500 were the best. Weathertech are ok but they are stiff and crappy. That said they are more protective than the OEM Ford mats.
Agreeed, loved my Ram 1500 MOPAR all-wheathers. Super duty all weathers are meh.
Weatherteh is missing the mark, brand them Super Duty, Chevy Duty, Ram Duty (yes I know that's not the name of each manufacturer.)
JD, how about carefully cutting the Super Duty logos out of the Ford mats and gluing the logos to the Weather Tech mats with some type of individual adhesive?! Shazam!
Y'all are welcome. Giddy up.
Industrial, not individual... sheesh 🙄... doggone spell check!
Had weather techs, switched to tux mats and havn't looked back.
So after the comparison of the front mats, you called the other mat a Husky brand. Did you misspeak and mean Weathertech? The video title was factory vs Weathertech.
I think most people are not going to attempt to pull a mat that has a bunch of liquid on it out of their vehicle. They will either suck the majority of it out with a vac or soak it up with a towel then pull the mat out to give it the final cleaning. Both products are good it just depends on what you are looking for and how you use the vehicle.
I have a dirt driveway and I love the weather tech style mats. Pull it out, hose it off, barely any dirt and gravel on the carpet.
In the winter no water from snow leaks onto the carpet through the hold down holes either.
Husky mats and wheel liners for super duty are the best
Weathertech, for the win, a heat gun will reshape the mat
The bigger mats are the way to go. Branding is nice, but cleaning carpets because the mats did not protect them is just a waste of my time.
You’re doing it wrong. Tuxmat.
Tried weathertech and they wouldn't stay in place for the back or passenger. Sent those back and bought Ford mats. weathertech is cheap garbage.
