Just too much talking , My God .... Let the Trailer be the " WITNESS " on what it truly is . All this micro management conversation even on the quality of the Television ??? . Just SHOW IT .
For such a large 5th wheel I don't feel they used the space that well. I would have thought there would have been a second bedroom or office area with all the space there is to work with.
agreed, kitchen was too big and am I the only one who hates 1/2 baths in an rv? I get it if it's for business use but for living or vacations and such why do you need an extra bathroom? Preference I know but with limited space...
They are one of the last builders building a structurally sound unit. My 2010 Seville 35CK was lost to a fire, so I got a Luxe. Looked at other builders but all were structurally not great.
JD, it would be great if you could highlight a few things for those of us who like to cook and bake. First, a pantry, if it has one. Second, kitchen storage for pots, pans and dishes. And third, a dishwasher. Sometimes I see these things as you fly through the kitchen but, other times, like this time, I missed it all if it was there.
Its amazing to me that in 48 feet of trailer, they can't fit a 4 person table or a second bedroom. I have no idea what the market for this thing is but I have no idea why they crammed a 38 foot floorplan into a 48 foot frame. Top marks for the build quality and finish, I will surely never be able to afford one, maybe those who do will appreciate what they have done here.
This is a beautiful unit! I prefer a mix of wood cabinets, but really nothing negative about the unit. If I was in the market for such a behemoth unit, I wouldn’t think twice about paying $200k for this unit! Heck, I couldn’t even afford the truck to haul this monster. It sure would be nice having this as a home on the road as long as you could handle the stress of hauling it and not flip out when you rub up against a bush or tree branch. Perfect unit for National Parks!
Hey JD hope you're having a great day? I love this Luxe Elite! What is the full paint called on this unit? The weight is alot heavier then what I thought. The inside is amazing! The living room area is just amazing with the storage an space. The large TV an the electric fireplace space heater. It took me by surprise with all three AC units having heat pumps in them. You have three heating options in this fifth wheel. I do wish that it had the electric fireplace space heater in the bedroom too. I'm glad that it's a bath an a half.the master bathroom is amazing. The shower fixture is amazing. Thank you JD for showing us this Luxe fifth wheel an giving us all the information on this unit!!! Your number one fan an friend Leonard Nelson from North Carolina!!!! I also like that it comes with 1600 watts of solar an 800 amp hour lithium batteries, plus a 6500 watt generator.!!!!!!
I couldn't agree with you more that LUXE is one of the Best-of-the-Best dealers on the market. The New Horizons and Spacecraft units are a step above the LUXE brand, but they have very similar build features. We almost bought a 42-foot mid-den unit, but we couldn't get the funding resolved so we ended up with a different brand flagship unit that is a few steps down from this builder. I could live in this unit without any problems, but I agree with Carol Ann that adding an office space would have made a lot of sense for any full-timer. Putting a desk in the living room area would be one possibility and is probably the only space in this floor plan that would work the best.
The wife and I lived in a pretty nice 42 foot toy hauler for awhile by circumstance. Then a 32 foot rv, again by circumstance. As impressive as this is it's got nothing on the apartment we now live in lol! That being said it is amazing and I'd love too have something like this someday for beach vacations. We like the beach.... I also just have too make it known as amazing and beyond stupid expensive rvs have gotten the apartment is still better and doesn't require a stupid expensive truck too move around. Note my intention with this comment is positive. Lived in multiple rvs for a long time. It was fun. Just not as nice as a brick and mortar home.
Very nice. Would love to have one to live in. Tons of storage space, which I love. I'd cut out that island in the kitchen though and put it where that window with the plugs are. I'd take out one of those sofas in the living room area too, as I prefer recliners. Two recliners would be awesome.
Hey JD! These really are a stunning piece of art! 48 footer... that's certainly a comfortable space to have living in these things full time. The space..... The comfort of having a large living space is so nice instead of the coach we have with the mid bunk, living and kitchen being all one room. Big mistake to have thought we needed a bunk room as an office. Haven't used it as an office once! The separation like here is very nice and comfortable. Like a house would be. Each room is it's own room. Kitchen totally separate from the living to the bed. Just a great layout! That back splash is very nice and looks great in the bathroom too.... right now..... while it's still new and not used yet.... Just wait till you get the splash actually happening to it and then need to clean it. With all the little areas of it, the voids will be a nightmare to keep as clean as I need things to be with my OCD! The storage is another thing overlooked when purchasing this big ol' 43 footer of ours! This coach has it! 800ah of batteries and the 1600 watts solar is fantastic. At this point I've got 800 on the roof and 400 holding the power with the 1500w inverter. Just a starting point of where things need to be to upgrade to what this one has on it. 400ah won't keep the basics on during a late movie night! As if this is in my budget as we've outgrown ours during this first year full time, maybe I'll start a "go fund me" or something to pick up one of these rigs at the price they have them! One day....... Or not!
I’d love to see them build a 53’ unit. Something similar to most race trailers that are 53’. Something that would do front bedroom mid living room and kitchen and rear loft within the first 40’. That have a 13’ garage. Or do 33’ of living space with a 20’ garage. Add half bath. But mainly I want these front bathrooms to not be connected to the front bedroom
What a fabulous rig. The only thing they blew it with are those silly dual vanity sinks. Totally unnecessary, and a waste of good space that could be used for something else.
Question -- do they make a drivable rv??? This was simply GORGEOUS. It's ideally everything I would want with a few changes (stainless steel sink and better quality fireplace) but I loved the quality and the decor.
A really nice trailer. For a “best of the best” trailer, it’s surprising it has a standard porcelain foot flush toilet, I can’t understand they wouldn’t have gone with a high end macerating toilet, and the location of the toilet seems awkward. They also went with a standard gray/black discharge, not one of the high end powered units with the much better small diameter discharge hoses. If I’m paying $500000 for a trailer, I would think this would be standard. I also really think they should have gone with a fibreglass back cap. He says they can’t because of the storage door, but for a half million dollar trailer, they should be able to engineer that. I realize these are “first world problems” but for a half million bucks I would expect everything should be top of the line.
Beautiful rig, no doubt. This, in conjunction with the truck you'd have to have, is not for the occasional user. It would be hard not to be happy with this trailer. Thanks, J.D. for another great video.
This is the perfect Fifth wheel my husband and I have been searching for, it's just us two however we love to travel and staying in hotels isn't going to work anymore. We Both retiring this year to travel from state to state and this RV will do perfectly... With customization with a smaller Kitchen and Office. Not really worried about the trash compact right next to the kitchen area because trash is supposed to be taken out daily. TOTALLY Love Luxe for this one.❤
Seen a lot of LUXE campers on video, none in person. They look amazing. With that said I have seen lots of videos, and in person of Brinkley campers seems to me they are the new 5th wheel campers to compete with for the amazing value, and giving campers exactly what they want.
We looked at the Brinkley, and they really are nice. They have very little units as of now, so maybe one day when they get more coaches to choose from. Right now we really love everything that Alliance has put out. If you haven’t seen the Alliance’s, you should check them out.
I fell in love with that motor coach, absolutely incredibly gorgeous. I love the office ❤🎉 I would love it in white instead of wood grain, but it's absolutely beautiful. ❤🎉😍
I just saw this unit in Vegas. The rep said they can install up to 12 200-amp solar panels and up to 14 batteries. She also said that you can run all 3 ACs on such solar system.
That there is a beautiful 5th wheel, this is something that i wldve gotten to replace the RV i had at the time that i was planning on living permanently in my RV om my land, however i decided to go in the direction of just getting a single-wide manufactured home, but i must admit that this 5th wheel is sooooooo much nicer, but i wanted to have a bit more room, thanks for the tour😊
we toured the factory in December 2022 and they were building that model , we ordered a 46 FB Toy Hauler , we went with LUXE over New Horizon DRV due to the craftsmanship and yes the weight of the unit is heavy we went to Home Depot and picked out the backsplash that we wanted we made some small changes in the garage area ,added a solar package with 10ea 250 watt panels on the roof with 4 270 AMP hour lithium batteries plus the space to add 2 more batteries at a later date all of the solar is controlled with Victron units Certified RV installed it all The unit is done just waiting on Ford to build our F450 Limited been on the order list since Mar 2022 So we are patiently waiting
It’s Beautiful JD, but We love the Paradigm 382RK for they same layout as this. It’s a whole lot less money, and also lighter to pull. We are trying to decide between that and their 370FB. I’ll add the 8K axles, with the ID suspension and the brakes along with dual pane windows for a whole less money. If I wanted all the Amenities that this Luxe offered, I’d rather go with a Newmar A class. Excellent post as always!
Like the floorplan. With all the tech that's out today I'd opt for an all electric 5th wheel. Plenty of roof area to have a nice solar array also. Other than that looks pretty nice in and out.
Beautiful RV but probably way out of my price range. Thanks JD for the tour. Love it, especially for full time living. Would probably go with a HDT class 8 truck to pull it with.
its a gorgeous Rv but not really sure why they would make it 48 feet long and only make it a 1-bedroom unit. I understand people want a bigger living and kitchen area but the size of those areas in this rv is unwarranted especially with only 1 bedroom, IMO. thanks for the tour, you always do such a great job displaying and giving us all the information on these RVs.
If you think about it, when there's only two people living full time and the comfort and space of the rooms, this is perfect! The space. The interior storage. It's like living in a small apartment while being full time traveling. This is a dream coach for my wife and I! Way beyond my budget but it's still just a dream to have one like this!! haha
LUXE 5TH WHEEL RV ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST 5TH WHEELS ON THE MARKET . YES THEY ARE HEAVY , WELL INSULATED AND MADE WITH FINEST MATERIALS AND YHEY ARE EXPENSIVE. THIS UNIT IS AT LEAST $321,000 PLUS TAX. ADD THE RAM 5500 TRUCK AND THIS PACKAGE WOULD BE AROUND $460,000 PLUS TAX.
This is cool but I can't ever see myself wanting something like this. There's a charm and elegance to the smaller units that is totally lost here. Plus imagine dealing with towing and parking this thing. What a PITA.
Gorgeous. Definitely a quality built unit. 48’ is the length of a semi-trailer. Will this brand be your next camper? Forget your F-450, get the Ram 5500 or a larger truck for this one. Actually this is glamping lol. Thank you for showing this.
I would hope that Luxe had learned that those pop-up power outlets in the kitchen are more trouble than they're worth. Users have been experiencing issues with water getting down in there causing rust.
Did I miss the $. I am picking up my Riverstone 442mc later this week. I think the only thing that this unit has on my Riverstone is more solar and weight
Yes, appears to be very well constructed. I'm surprised the carrying cap is so low despite your opinion. 2k# is not much at all for that size & more than likely a full timer with all their worldly goods. You'll get maxed out pretty darn quick with a trailer that size. The fresh water alone will account for close to 800#. The gigantic storage area will take you over without any trouble at all. My ORV 26KVS has a higher rating. It needs to be a minimum of 2x more for a TT this size.
I just want to know how they are getting this into most campgrounds with a rig this long. I have a 40' toyhauler and even that is a struggle at times. I love their quality, I just wish they had units between 36-40'.
This is amazing! I love it lol I never thought I would find the 5th wheel I've been dreaming of! The only thing I would change would be the orientation of the dining room table ❤
I believe those lights over the island are pendants not sconces. The plugs are 120v not 110v. Beautiful rig though. Must have been tough with all the reflective surfaces to make sure we didn’t see your face. Good job.
I could see myself getting into this, then immediately getting kicked out of lol Beautiful fifth wheel Even if I could afford it though, there isn't any sleeping space for kids
Great Video and Nice unit but @200k would I Expect real wood, hand laid tiled floor and substantial insulation. It does look t like they cheaped out in some areas tho like the shower glass and floor? Is this layout available with optional colour cabinetry? Also for the level of space saving and use of dpace cant they have the oven and micro as a built in?
When are you going to do a podcast on Spacecraft ? You talk about one off top of the line 5th wheels built to order. Oh yes there pricey as all get out but u get what u pay for.
If one owns his/her own semi-truck can the camper be towed with it? Or would a pick-up truck as you've shown, be best to tow the trailer with? Beautiful lux interior. I love it!
The questions I have for ALL RVs: what is fully accessible when all of the slides are closed? (Road Mode) If any of the bedroom, bathroom or fridge are blocked, then what is the point of having a floor plan that failed in this regard? No amount of money can fix those bad designs once built.
Some care about that some done. For instance, our Brookstone 398MBL has the bathroom and master bedroom available with all slides in. There is a micro fridge and sink outside if we need those. It all depends on what you're looking to access
The only changes that I would do all black countertops, get rid of the half bath, put the washer and dryer down there and make the shower much bigger in the master with a sit down bench Also so the wife can shave whatever i’m not sure if I would go to rim 5500 or go up to the Freightliner with the Detroit DD 13 or 15 with the 12 speed automatic I think it would be better suited to handle the weight but you also have to remember I am a truck driver
I’m not sure if you have done this or not , but have you compared this unit with 56’ (I think) Spacecraft 5th wheel ? Now that’s a comparison I’d like to see !
I made a mistake on the dates they would be in Las Vegas. They were there from May 11th through 13th not June. I apologize for the discrepancy.
Dang it. I'm in Vegas. Would have gone.

Luxe still makes their Gold series for us plebeians. Al I would ever need.
Padded walls? Sounds like a perfect RV for me! Lol
With the padded walls, I would be worried about a water leak and not find it for a while until it causes a lot of damage.
Cant hang pictures or anything on that big blank wall ! No holes !!!!!
Awesome and Beautiful.
This is cool but I can't ever see myself wanting something like this. There's a charm and elegance to the smaller units that is totally lost here. Plus imagine dealing with towing and parking this thing. What a PITA.
Not as homey; colder
you have a driver that deals with all of that
Thank you for this great well informed video
Gorgeous. Definitely a quality built unit. 48’ is the length of a semi-trailer. Will this brand be your next camper? Forget your F-450, get the Ram 5500 or a larger truck for this one. Actually this is glamping lol. Thank you for showing this.
My f450 pickup out tows my 5500s and 6500s all day...another 125hp and 350lbft over cab chassis...no kidding its a monster.
The name Luxe says it all. It will be my next RV.
The dark wood behind the tv is gorgeous I’d like to see that throughout ❤❤
MSRP $498,918. Factory direct $344,082. Maybe not this exact one, but close.
I would hope that Luxe had learned that those pop-up power outlets in the kitchen are more trouble than they're worth. Users have been experiencing issues with water getting down in there causing rust.
FYI, 48' is the second longest length of a semi trailer. 53' and 48'.
Did I miss the $. I am picking up my Riverstone 442mc later this week. I think the only thing that this unit has on my Riverstone is more solar and weight
Good question? I’m not sure if I can afford this, what is the price for this particular model?
Yes, appears to be very well constructed. I'm surprised the carrying cap is so low despite your opinion. 2k# is not much at all for that size & more than likely a full timer with all their worldly goods. You'll get maxed out pretty darn quick with a trailer that size. The fresh water alone will account for close to 800#. The gigantic storage area will take you over without any trouble at all. My ORV 26KVS has a higher rating. It needs to be a minimum of 2x more for a TT this size.
Agreed. Big fail on the CCC. 😢
Everyone who owns this model will overload it easily!
@@bobharney3260 I believe you’re 110% correct. People who buy this size & type of fiver will load them up with most of their worldly possessions
Wow! That is actually a more functional, and probably larger, kitchen than in my house!
At this length, why not go with tandem dually axes with air ride instead of the triple axles?
I just want to know how they are getting this into most campgrounds with a rig this long. I have a 40' toyhauler and even that is a struggle at times. I love their quality, I just wish they had units between 36-40'.
They can make a 35’ and a 38’ in the lower end Luxe units on request.
I’ve always loved Luxe. They may not have the chassis of a DRV, but their fit and finish… they are second to no one
DRV is garbage compared to Luxe. The only other custom trailer builders better than Luxe are New Horizons and Spacecraft.
For a 48ft 5th wheel this one seems to have a small living room. What kind of price would you expect to pay for this unit?
very nice RV, I would of liked to see a full bath and another bedroom in the back, only one shower makes it bad when you have guests
How much is it? It is absolutely beautiful! I would have to dump the tan furniture and go with Gray though cause I can’t stand Tan
my favorite, best kitchen and bath ever
I love the set up.
God, I could spend the rest of my life living in this, traveling the country. That would be my American Dream 😊
Good job.
I could see myself getting into this, then immediately getting kicked out of lol
Beautiful fifth wheel
Even if I could afford it though, there isn't any sleeping space for kids
Need bunk beds that can be converted into an office space. Seen it once before
I love that camper. How much is it?
I love it!
Yes you can use your own semi.
It's actually better in my opinion bigger brakes and definitely a better ride since you're sitting on air in the semi.
Wow!!! What a beautiful unit.
I love it and I could totally be happy with it, too.
Absolutely gorgeous!!! But it would be hard to find a park that has spots big enough for it. How much ? $250-275 K
A little higher
ITS A LOT HIGHER $321,000
😊 very nice. I still can dream. Maybe one day.
Can this be used as a destination rv? I would change the couches to an L shaped couch and add an ottoman. Overall it's beautiful
It got like 4 different backsplashes and 5 different cabinets, they run out of enough to fill the whole camper with 1 or 2 style cabinets?
Absolutely INSANE,
Can you use the bathroom when the bed slide is in?
I don’t like the attached island should either be the other way or a bit shorter so you can walk around it
I love this setup.
Love it!!!!
Can u give the info on the truck that is pulling this pls?
I’m not sure if you have done this or not , but have you compared this unit with 56’ (I think) Spacecraft 5th wheel ? Now that’s a comparison I’d like to see !
Wow, super sophisticated
