whelp I'm old , gonna say almost 30 years ago when I worked at Barrel of Fun arcade , just got the arcade pinball legends Adams Family machine, not the same but it fills the void
Lanes and Games, 2013. Location is long gone, but the operator (who had nine other games at that bowling alley, mostly new sterns) has since put that exact Addams Family at other locations. Despite being 20+ years old at the time, it was still in great condition, as it had clearly been cared for since it had been released. It later on got a CPR playfield as well. Since then, I've played many Addams Family's, but few have been comparable condition wise. Your copy looks like it's in insanely nice condition, though!

Excellent video detailing your pinball makeover. Loved seeing some of the new upgrades, like that 3d title art going on the unit where the plunger gets installed. The Uncle Fester drink holder is great too. And that inner pinlight is perfect.
Very nice! A buddy of mine had an fx artist give the hand a photorealistic paint job. It's awesome. Eventually, you should get that Fester's "lightbulb in the mouth" mod for the electric chair! Great job man!
Adding this to my collection soon (WWF and T2) - can't wait. You've done a lovely job with this. You were VERY lucky to get an Addams in such good condition to begin with. Enjoy!
The arcade was another really cool gem. I'm really jealous that someones grandparents had these machines in their basement for all these years for their kids/grandkids to play. My grandparents were definitely not that cool 😂
That'll be a great one in your collection. That's my favorite pin. There was a pizza place I worked at as a kid that had it and I'd turn in my tip money for change after work and play it all the time. Such a good game
Thank you! Besides the savings aspect of buying older/less pristine machines, I really enjoy the revitalization process of trying to bring something back to like new or better condition
Thank you so much, this is one that has been high on my want list for a while, but it's normally crazy high price tag has always prevented me from picking one up. I got real lucky with this find
they have new "remake" versions of funhouse coming out later this year, I'm curious to see how those new machines affect the pricing of the older Funhouse machines out there in the market when those start arriving.
Yeah it's such a huge part of pinball fandom that it's hard to talk pinball games without TAF coming up in the conversation. I'm super happy that I was able to track one down and do some work on it.
Such an awesome game. Addams was my go-to pin in the 90s, and was my first pin that I owned. You've done a great job on the resto! If you want the wavy wireform, just let me know. I have a couple in stock. You can match your Jurassic Park!
I lost in the finals last night in this game..so I hate it today! 😂 Congrats on the new games!.The Addams Family looks like it is in fantastic shape being original!
It can be so brutal at times. The I’ve had a few blow up games on it that were immediately followed by sub 5 million point stinkers. @cooltoy Yeah last night my buddy took first worh 83 million and I had 2 balls locked on ball three and went to hit the chair scoop..hit a fresh post rubber on the side of the scoop and that resulted in a rocket down the middle ..game over with 38 million..smh...But 2nd us better than last so I will take it

"WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU!!!" I love Addams Family, always my go to table on VPX and first time was when I was actually six years old and it was when my mom was working in a working mens club here in the UK and I couldn't stop playing it especially when the engineer would come and inspect the machine, would often put in 100 credits for me to play on all through the day when I was at the club during school holidays!
Helluva resto. Addams Fam might have to be favorite all-around just for nostalgia and quarters burned (was the nearest table to my college apartment). :) Love the care you took and its stellar work. My *OPINION* is that I personally thinks its a little too busy and way too bright now... Addams table and field always seemed moodier and darker than most which is something, thematically/aesthetically I always loved about it. When the seance starts, it felt legit. :) Shadows made it even harder. Just my 25 cents. Cheers.

Yeah Stranger Things was one of my absolute favorite machines, but I had beat it so many times over and seen and did everything there was to do on it multiple times I felt it was time to move on to something else. Wow, congratulations on getting such a nice Addams Family pin! I'm glad you got it all that way by yourself, that was brave! The first time I remember playing The Addams Family pinball was at a games room in a hotel/resort I stayed at on the Gold Coast. It's such a great game!
It was definitely a little sketchy dragging those machines up that hill through gravel by myself. I just kept reminding myself as I was struggling along moving them how valuable they were and that if I dropped something it would be even more expensive 😂 That fear alone was enough motivation for me to tough it out and get the job done unscathed fortunately
When and where was the first time you played The Addams Family pinball machine? Let me know in the comments below.
