just picked up one for £900 in the uk, fully serviced,, what a bonus
A family member had this pinball machine at his house so whenever I would go as a kid, I'd spend the majority of the time playing this game. It was so entertaining.
Wow that’s a pretty cool family member. Nothing like having a game that someone takes care of and plays well
Haha i was amazed by all the lights.. but could not reach the buttons.. now older i started buying myself a pinball machine
I have owned one for several years. Also have a Back to the Future pinball. They're a lot of fun but it helps to know how to service and maintain them. It became a hobby! ruclips.net/video/OiNcKDaMeXE/видео.html
Same! My grandfather had this machine at his house and whenever we went over I would spend hours on it.
One of the greatest, if not the #1, pinball machines ever made. Definitely one of my favorites, so many thanks for this look behind the scenes!
Thanks! It makes me happy to document this beautiful machine
Definitely top 5 at least 👏
PINBOT
BIG BANG BAR
TWILIGHT ZONE
MID EVIL MADNESS
CLASS OF 1812
honorable mentions ......... Theater of Magic ....... Star trek (next generation) .......... Black Knight. ........ Black Hole (sentimental reasons)
The woman entangled in vines on the back glass is Abigail Craven / Dr Pinder-Schloss (Uncle Fester’s adoptive “mother” played by Elizabeth Wilson). I only know this because I just finally got around to watching the film for the first time; it’s fun to finally be able to place all the references in the table!
And I’ll add another voice to the chorus saying that your videos are great; exactly the sweet spot I was looking for between gameplay videos, tutorials, and general pinball history vids! Looking forward to checking out the rest!
One of the best pins of all time!
Facts
I graduated from high school in 92 so this machine was a big part of my teenage years
the best flipper of all times. nobody can beat this pinball. period.
My favorite pinball machine. I keep hoping Stern or someone will remake.
My favorite pin of all time, I used to take my tips I got from work in this pizza place and turn them into quarters and play this for about an hour with a beer. Good times back in the day
I still do this today 😅
When I was a kid in the late 90s, there was a community youth center, and we had this game - I sunk SO many quarters into it...eventually I started working there part time, mostly for the perk of being allowed to play it for free any time it was quiet.
Man. I miss that thing.
Seriously, RIP Raul Julia. Absolutely under appreciated.
Never ever played a real pinball machine before. Wish i had the opportunity, i remember playing pinball on Windows XP that came with the PC and loving it
Best sideart ever!
Great story , my pinball of all time
Its intreeting to learn about this game and why it became successful. Since the IP it was base on would also make the Addams as (in)fanous as we know them today.
My dad got his hands on one of these for about 3500 bucks, and now it’s well used in our house, still hold up as the best pinball machine
Thank you so much Kevin. The Addams Family was the first pinball machine I ever played. I always enjoy a play on this pinball machine!
This is great Kevin. i love all the footage integration and unique explanation of the play field . Keep them coming man! :)
Thank you Cory! It means a lot from you
Thank you for this! Informative and entertaining with high production value. Your videos are really helping me appreciate each table in my VP cabinet.
Thank you so much! I made these so I could learn more about each table.
Great vids! Can't wait to see more
My favorite pinball EVER!!!
Kevin thanks for taking the time to make this video. Addams Family was the game which got me hooked and was my first game. Keep the videos coming. Would love to see a video like this for AC/DC paying homage to Lyman Sheats.
I love AC/DC. But the underground playfield doesn’t work at my local arcade 😪
Man I loved this pinball machine!
Absolutely loving these videos! Keep up the great work. 👌
Thank you so much!
these pinball history vids are amazing! please do more
I will thank you!
Excellent work on this. Love the Addams machine (and the movies). I believe the woman being strangled by plants on the backglass is Dr Greta Pinderschloss/Mrs. Craven from the first movie.
If you're taking suggestions on what to do next: Funhouse! Funhouse! Funhouse!
Ugh I love funhouse. I can’t stop making vids on Pat Lawlor games
I'm so glad that I found this channel. It's entertaining, funny, and very informative. I hope the bally Williams twilight zone comes soon because it's my favorite machine and one of the most loved machines ever made
I got you
this table made me realize that I'm very lucky to not have epilepsy 😊
8:52 that was pretty creative
I love flipper codes
Very happy to have seen your video. Thank you for the excellent work! Cheers from Brazil!
Bro, your unstoppable with these! Keep doing what your doing.
Thanks! I’ll keep them coming.
Who else yelled "FIF-TY-MILL-ION!" when it shows Koi playing at the beginning haha
tour the mansion complete. fiffffftyyyyy milllliiiooonnnsss
I have this one in my small collection of 3 since 2011. Bought it for 1800 euros. Playfield and cabinet is near mint. Was never in arcades i think.
Absolutely awesome video Kevin! Tha ks for the deep dive!
Absolutely! More to come
omfg i subscribed. normally i never do that. but i love these series.. much love for the effort and work you put in..
Thanks so much! I hope you are excited to see more
@@KevinCarrington i know there are some good books about pinball machines. Maybe interesting for your videos..
For now i have to wait because ive seen all your videos
Keep up the great work. I'd love to see one done on Monster Bash. 🤙
Oh yea that’s a good one! I’ll add it to the list
Liked and subscribed, Great production values as always on your uploads :)
Thanks again!
Please, do Banzai Run next keep doing what your doing Absolutely loving these videos.
Great work👌
Thanks so much! I played a Banzai Run once. I could never get it to the top 🥲
My family has owned this one since 2007. It has worked so well and has only had to have major maintenance 5 times (replacing things and the like.)
Great job! Thanks for making the videos.
No problem! Glad you liked it
Todd Tuckey from TNT amusement, that dude is a trip :)
I always end up on his page he has an outrageous amount of wacky content
@@KevinCarrington are you a fan of GRC on RUclips?
Every once in a while I’ll click on one of their videos with a cute girl in the thumbnail
@@KevinCarrington hell yeah bro
Awesome table.
Please do Attack from mars and theater of magic.
Keep up the good work and your Chanel will explode 👍
Thank you more to come!
¡Ohhhhhh que bueno..¡Como me gustaria tener uno asi. Sublime
Hey pinball daddy, I'm trying to binge your pinball stuff and I'm not getting enough content.
I deserve so much more than this.
This comment single handedly motivated me to make more
@@KevinCarrington Haha. For real though, I'm really enjoying your videos. I'm not crazy about pinball but this is the vibiest pinball history I've come across. Top tier, very cool, very enjoyable. :D
That deep dive shit dude? That history shit dude? Going into the people behind it type shit dude? Hell yeah.
These videos are fantastic.
Thanks more coming!
New subscriber! Awesome video
Would love to see a video on Funhouse!
Love funhouse! I’ve got to
It will be again on Pinball FX launch. Finally!
Liked and subscribed, great video
i love this machine it was the first pinball machine that i got a replay on
Nice work Kev
Thanks homie. See you soon!
Great vid
Why thank you 😊
I'll always choose any 90s pinball over newer pinballs
Can’t go wrong
nicely done
Thanks Al 😀
Great video. Really looking forward to more if this becomes a regular series. If you end doing Twilight Zone, that would be awesome!
"Don't touch the door, don't touch the door, don't touch the door...!"
I think Twilight Zone will be next! POWERBALLLL
Tina: Hi, I'm talking Tina.
Here is your extra ball
"extra ball turns into a Ballon and Flys Tina into here face"
Tina: laughs
This is probably my favorite secret in pinball and laughed for a couple of minutes because I have never seen it before and the machine is so amazing. Best table I bought
Talking Tina scared me as a child 😳
I own one of these which has been in storage for about 15 years. I had no idea they are worth so much. I ought to dig it out this year and take a look at it and the others.
That’s the boomer way
The best pinball machine by far!!!
It’s a classic
Fantastic! Stumbled upon your site and immediately suscribed. Capcon's Big Bang Bar might make an interesting video since it has reached almost cult status. Bur whatever you decide to do next, I have no doubt it will be great. Can't wait!
Oooo that’s a good one. I played big bang bar a couple of months ago. It was fun
What a wonderful video about one wonderful table! Could you do NBA Fastbreak next?
Thanks! I love fastbreak!
This game has become famous.
Used to play this so much as a kid and sadly not seen a physical version playable since then whenever Ive found arcades that still had Pins here, maybe one day I'll get lucky with space and funds to own one.
Using a pinball app to find machines really helped me locate the random ones at bars and restaurants. It’s really a scavenger hunt now to find games (even harder to find ones in good shape)
@@KevinCarrington don't really seem to have one for the UK yet, but apparently there is some places in London that I might look into.
Great series!!! Thank you, man
There are so many Maschines, i want to see.
Jurassic Park
Bttf
Indy
And Banzai Run, plz
I’ve got to do Indy. Also you’re the second. Banzai Run request so I’ll get that done
Greatest selling pinball game of the modern era. Some pinball titles in the 30's (like Baffle Ball and Ballyhoo) sold north of 50,000 units.
You’re so right! Thanks for correcting me
You should do videos on Earthshaker and Revenge From Mars
Great video, makes me want to get one. Please do Terminator 2 next!
Great video series!!! Can we see one on Whirlwind? Feel the power of the wind!
I for sure will get all of Pats Williams games done
would you do a history of the Tighlight Zone pinball? its my fav table.
Yes that will be coming up next! POWERBALL
9:01
Williams 1979 flash sold 20000 in the US and 4000 in Europe so it actually sold more.
7:03 that is Mrs. Craven she’s the main villain of the 1991 movie in one scene she’s trying to look for fester and starts knocking on the conservatory and a vine comes out and pulls her in and lay her in the movie you see lurch find her stuck in a Ravel of vines
Ohhhh okay I thought it was her but I was not completely sure. Thanks for clarifying!
Well, what DOES Cousin It say about Angelica in reverse?? Ya left that one out. 🤷♂️
This table is avalible with Pinball FX. I mentioned it. On the twilight zone video as well. Zen studios has the rights to many digital willams tables
Really. I just checked pinball fx3 and didn’t see them. I see Williams games but no AF or TZ. Is it possible you had then before they were removed?
@@KevinCarrington Pinball FX is the new version of the game, it doesn't have a number. that game has both the tables
Oh wow no way I’ll check that out. Thanks for letting me know
I have a original mortal Kombat . And when you unlock and take the board that the joystick/buttons are on off and flip it over. You can see under a thin coat of black paint,Adams family pinball art on it. I had the chance when I went to where Chicago to visit the old midway/Williams building . It’s Warner brothers now. But I was lucky enough to talk to a man that has worked there since the midway days . And when I ask him how a factory Mortal Kombat had a piece of wood with Adams family on it. He said they didn’t waste anything..
Wow this is an amazing story and I had no idea! Think of all the hidden art that is probably in different games
Just discovered your "hystory of..." videos, very interesting !
Thanks! Glad you like them
ive had my gold for 20yrs...mint and all originala family member
What a beautiful classic
For some reason, I remember the chair raising and lowering when I played as a kid, but I've never seen a machine do this as an adult. It's a weird, incorrect memory.
I'm the proud owner of a 'Addams Family Values' . it's a coin drop game that uses pin parts but not a pin. its spooky, a bit cooky.
I saw that in my research! It does look silly and cooky.
@@KevinCarrington a 100% working AFV is.. annoying, But a enticing homebrew platform.
Me: Oh my god! Why is this so hard??
“…Many complain about low gameplay depth”
Me: LOW GAMEPLAY DEPTH?!!!
"Belly manufacturing company"? Surely it's spelled "Bally" and pronounced like you're saying "ball-ey"?
EDIT: Okay, I stand corrected. I listened to pronounciation videos and I'm now officially flabbergasted. I was under the impression that the name was English and reflected the pinball balls, but it was inspired from their first game Ballyhoo...so there was an explanation but I've always thought it was "ball-ey"...seemed to make more sense.
Well, nitpicking aside, this game made me a true pinball lover. I loved the film, loved the pinball and it's just amazing. Thanks for the history lesson. ;)
Great video, I know it's not the 'best' machine, but it sure is for me and nostalgia. Love it.
It has a special place in all of our hearts
Hey, please do Hauted House ! ;-)
Haunted……House
Farsight had to change all original likenesses of Christopher Lloyd on the game. So not only the backglass but most notably the image of Fester between the flippers. This coined the term "festering the art" when referring to altering any actor's likenesses on a commercial digital pinball machine recreation.
I took a look at it again and you’re right! Those two images look so similar though, I’m surprised they got away with it
Fave
1:44 why no mention on banzai run that was pat lawlors first game
This is true. I did Banzai Run dirty. Time to make a stand alone video to make up for it
1 day I will own this game.
And a beautiful day it will be
I didn't realize there was a leaderboard or that you can sign in to play on the digital Pinball Arcade app. I had a good game at 6.3 billion and then looked for a high score leaderboard and saw Tarek Oberdiek has the top score at 84+ billion. Then I found out you can cheat and write code and it all made sense after that. 84 billion my left ass cheek. Mark Miwurdz at 77 billion. Yeah, sure. It's sad greats like that would cheat. Major drop-off after those fake scores to the attainable 20 billion range.
This video is mildly dated as after Farsight Studios lost the license to this table, Pinball FX got the rights to it and you can get it right now as of this writing
Fortunately, if you had purchased the table in The Pinball Arcade before they lost the license, you can keep it, even if you upgrade to a new device using the same platform. I'm on my third or fourth Android tablet since they lost the license and it still shows in my purchased tables collection.
Woah that’s interesting! I’ll have to borrow someone’s account to play haha
Koi Morris at 0:57
A legend
So what does Thing say, exactly? I reversed the sample and slowed it down and still can’t make it out. “Hide your nose I can see it?”
Hahah does it really? I'm not sure, but that would make sense if it that's what it sounds like!. There a couple of different "Thing" quotes said in the pin that I would have to rewind
@@KevinCarrington ruclips.net/video/T46qVvmD0MQ/видео.html
Sounds sooo creepy I don’t like it 😳
Can you please do a video on jersey Jack's pirate of the Caribbean. If you want to play a ce version I have one.
Love the machine, but how is it that this one is the most populair machines if you think about how many pinball arcade machines there is out there
Get away high speed 2 :D
Love that game! I’m on it
@@KevinCarrington So do i :D i own one, and i would loooove the history about it. Your content is amazing, and i thought my youtube glitched when i saw that you only had 700 subs.
Awww thanks!
I find it somewhat disturbing that most machines shown are third-party altered, i.e. "modded".
Some are tasteful some are…not
AF is a great pinball! But I didn't see PIN*BOT on that top list. That's blasphemy!
Why don't they make a new version ,just mad they would make squillions
what happened to the roblox streams
11:03 whats with the fake number on this. whoevers table this is, the number is very very high res compared to the rest of the image, so i take it fakes are thing.
Woah that’s a very astute observation. You have good eyes. Perhaps it was a reprint or an example
My goodness the machine they're using in the video has rainbow LEDs ....🤢
Guys please don't put leds in these classic machines it makes them look gaudy and cheap
Yeah rainbow poop is no fun. Although I used a video of someone replacing the Greed bulbs with similar looking leds. It looked really good and is probably lasts longer/easier to maintain. Just gotta be tasteful with it
