Thanks for your review. I will want to upgrade to the 4k version at some point, but I'm not sure if I should do that now. I also upgraded my HD version with the buy-stuff haptics upgrade kit, and it's perfect. Especially with VPX, where the haptics sound effects are separated from the music that resounds in the speakers of the backbox. I would miss that very much if the 4K doesn't support that. The other question I have is, can I play the Adam’s family on this table or monster bash? If this at games plays better than arcade 1up and I have access to play the other tables on attack from mars, I will buy the $2,000.00 version for sure. Please help🙏. Thank you so much❤️

You see me in the video - it's NOT that big a deal at all - AND a fix is coming that greatly reduces it. The fix has already been implemented in Addam's Family, and I heard it's great. I JUST picked up the new Universal pack (go check out my new video!) and Lag is NOT a thing! It feels fantastic! Plays wonderfully! and yep - there's a TON of Zen tables you can purchase. Congrats Ed on the new ALP 4K!! 👍 I hope they updated the buttons to gold leaf coz I recently had to replace all the micro switch buttons on my ALP HD. You really do feel the difference with gold leaf ✌️
I don't think they are Golf Leaf. I've heard people say that for years. I'm not into hardware modifications or electronic mods (just not really my bag) but that is one thing I have considered. How does it make such a difference I wonder.
@@digitalvictory8266 I definitely recommend replacing them Ed. At least the flipper buttons. I play mainly OTG and you can feel the difference in reduced lag and quality. It really is an easy and cheap modification. You won't regret it. I'm just surprised the buttons on your ALP HD didn't give up on you sooner.
Great video Ed, congrats on the new beautiful machine. Thanks for the shout out. Here is another $5 bucks towards that pinball machine. Come on guys donate a little something to ed just to say thanks. Keep the great videos coming Ed.
I sure appreciate you, man! Thanks for all the support over the years!! I'm very happy with the machine, and it's absolutely stunning and there will be lots of cool videos to come!
Awesome video, Ed! How was the setup for OTG from HD to 4K? Was it pretty much plug and play or did you have to do extensive setup for screens and joy2key?
Total Plug and Play. I use J2K and that is a breeze too. Just a couple minutes on that. The OTG setup on the 4K is SO much better implemented, I'm very happy with that. When I pulled out the HD machine to make room for the new one, I saw the opening in the back with that VIBs board, and ribbon cable and I just shook my head. That just seemed like a total afterthought with AT@Games on the original table. It's fully integrated now - nothing bad to say about it.
Yea buddy, congrats! My modded original ALP will keep me going until upgrade to a full-size vpin. Having a dedicated DMD makes all the difference ;) Looking forward to seeing that upgraded PC next!
Woohoo!! Nice!! As soon as they put the 4K on sale again or lower the price mine will be on the way...I heard yesterday they haven't met their goals so I can see a reduction in price happening like now for the holidays... I just sold my HD for 500 so right now I am pinball-less except for the laptop I bought two months ago (to play OTG...I bought a 4080 with 64 of RAM and it moves!).... Let me ask you, did you have them put the SS kit in or did you do it yourself or did you not buy the kit? Would like to talk to you a bit more about it fella....have an email? Thanks for the video...I guess I missed where you said 4K was on the way....👍🙏
I do not. I tend to shy away from being a "Tech" channel when it comes to things like this. When I started to put one together, I searched some other ones out for info - and I realized there's no need to reinvent the wheel, Wagner (and others) have done wonderful jobs already. The timing is funny. I just commented on your last video with the HD asking if you would eventually upgrade. Well, there's my answer! How do you find the readability of the DMD? It looks a bit small. Enjoy it pal!
I just LOOKS small compared to that huge backglass! LOL It's perfectly readable - and it's awesome being able to have the full DMD artwork around it. Appreciate you watching!

@@digitalvictory8266 That seems like a great way to add some lighting. Thank you for replying with that link! I’m new to virtual pinball, but I feel hooked already. I am currently trying to decide whether to build my own, starting with a flat pack for the cabinet, or just take the easy way and buy a 4K Legend. The size of the playfield is perhaps the real holdup for me. Do you feel that the 32 inch playfield satisfies you, or do you feel better playing on a 43 inch playfield?
@@likestech1873 For me, the 32" is great. The space I have available plays a part. Maybe if I had a big, giant, game room I would prefer a larger playfield, but I don't so the 32 is more than adequate. I've literally NEVER said, "Man, I wish this playfield was bigger." And to build - OR to buy? Again, for me, it was easy, as I have no facilities here for any handiwork (we park both cars int he garage) and I'm not particularly handy, nor do I have any tools for that. LOL I respect the fact that others prefer that, and appreciate their skill - but I don't have that skillset, so it was an easy decision.
@@digitalvictory8266 It's good to hear you say that you never once found yourself wishing it was bigger (that's what she said 😊). It seems that the left side of my brain wants the satisfaction of building one, and the right side wants to buy a 4K Legend and just play the games.
Can you better explain the infamous lag issue? is it on all native tables? Or just the attack from Mars because Zen did it? It doesn't apply to your OTG tables right? I'm just trying to understand the extent of this lag problem. Thanks.
I'd say you understand it quite well, my friend! 🙂 Yes, it's on the Attack from Mars table. I don't have anywhere NEAR that kind of lag on any other tables. Including OTG. I've always said that I am notoriously ambivalent about it, and if someone took a "Lag-0-Meter" to my system and told me that ALL my tables, even OTG, had lag, I wouldn't argue one bit. But I don't notice. But there is NO doubt that the Attack from Mars table has VERY noticeable lag. That said, it IS playable (you watched me do it on the video) - so it's not unplayable to me. I understand many are very sensitive to it and claim it's unplayable... fair enough. I would never presume to tell someone how THEY should feel about something. But I'm kind of a laid-back dude, it doesn't bother me much.
@@digitalvictory8266 Yes, I didn't understand completely which is why I asked the question. Thanks for the clarification and for building my wish list of tables to download in your monthly best of videos.
Did you get the model? Dad already had the enhanced speakers installed or did you do that separately? It seems like there is a discount if you do it separately yourself. This machine definitely looks tempting.
Awesomeness, I agree that it's a great update to HD. As I mentioned before, the SSF kit is the greatest update, beyond the aestheic look to the nachibr itself. Still no OTG for me, tried when I first it, had done issues and haven't tried since. Either way, I have tons of games that I play and enjoy, and that is what is important.
Looks great! The problem with playing vpx natively is, The hardware built into the cab is not capable of playing all the tables available. Especially the vpw tables, running through your PC is still the best way to go. Just my opinion, play On! 😁
Hi DV! I understand its expensive...but the question is, for the cost, how close in experience do you get to a full size custom cabinet...that might cost anywhere from $4000 to $8,000? Like compared to full size, this unit should only be priced at $500, $750, $1000 etc.
That's a great question, Jenkins. I'd say it's damn close. Admittedly, I've never played the bigger, full-size one, but every other aspect (image quality, sounds, music, haptics) is built-in here.
this may sound crazy, but would i be able to gut this machine, and put it inside my arcade1up afm pinball? I lost functionality in my modded afm arcade1up, but i have a weird corner of my house where dimensionality it fits perfectly. are the dimensions similar? i want to keep the size and box of the a1up but want the options of the paks - i want the best of both worlds!
I think that's fair. Especially to an old guy (58) like me, my eyes don't exactly see every pixel at 1080! LOL But i also believe the screens just look better! Sharper, brighter, more contrast - and the SIZE of that backglass is mind blowing! (remember how small the HD is?)
I haven't done anything yet, other than move it out of my game room! Believe me, my wife is THRILLED its taking up space in the family room! LOL But certainly my plan is to sell it. And I will NOT answer your question about How Much - because of Bro-Code! You NEVER discuss actual $$$ numbers where wives and Girlfriends can see it! LOLOL 😅🤣😂
Is nudging compatible with otg yet? If so, is it as good as or better than the HD? I have an HD with a blind otg set up, 2k monitor. I’m very happy with it, but I’m curios about this one for friends looking to get into the hobby. Is there lag in otg?
Hi there - no lag in OTG. it operates just like it did on my HD machine, which is to say fantastic. Is nudging compatible? Well, PHYSICAL nudging, is a big negative! I didn't even think to check that since I use the buttons out of habit. But when i checked this morning, NO - only the buttons create Nudge on OTG use. However, the SSF DOES work with OTG.
I was able to find a good deal on an Open-Box unit from Best buy on a gaming PC: i7-14700KF 3.4GHz; RTX4060Ti 8GB; 16GB RAM. Thanks for reminding me, I need to add that to my video description.
@ got it! Is it easy to install & access? I presume it’s a standalone application that you run? Versus Pinball FX on steam where you have a library of games on one application.
@digitalvictory8266 I think it is based on the vpx standalone build. Tried it on my android phone. The one table I got to work looks and plays great. Most tables don't load for me but I have a budget phone. If it works, it will be great for the alp. No pc needed!
@@dalemartin4384 I don't. I just grab them and charge them up anytime I have friends over to play, or before I make a video. I have a USB port with 10 outlets and have the short USB cords right there to plug them into. They charge quick and I just put them back up there. There's rolled up tape behind each of them so they hold their place. Movie magic! LOL

Congratulations on the 4K machine! I have this and The Addams Family. The lag will never get fixed. October will be 1 year since The Addams Family machine was introduced at that classic gaming convention last year, and there have only been "slight" improvements. AtGames will continue to push this broken software on us. They won't get a dime from me for tables. Ever since I bought the Peanuts table and saw how bad the lag was, I was done! Vpx is in the works without a pc using only a single flash drive. Can't wait!
The whole legends pinball really stuck it to the people who bought the first models, they offer nothing in content really. You have to hook it up to a decent PC to get the Steam games, or any decent games by pinballer. I think I'm gonna rip out the 1080 screen and put it in a gaming 2k screen, just for the PC games.
@@digitalvictory8266 Really, what new games have been released for the original model in 1080? I looked at the atgames site. Anything they offer is pure horse pies for the original model. So yes the older model has been discarded like trash, as well as the customers. Only way to go is third party. We already have companies sprouting to custom install games though a PC to the old legend 1080 ;( I don't not agree with you at all!
The issue with LAG with this and original - is something in this age we should not have. I have people come play my HD OTG tables and the first complaint is flipper lag. Then they dont like it and give up - Party Over. Its not bad lag but its just enough to throw your game if you arent used to it.

Awesome, possum.
Q. are you seeing the lag when playing VPX from your PC in OTG mode?
Thanks for the video...I guess I missed where you said 4K was on the way....👍🙏
That sounds like an awesome Laptop!
My email is in the About Section on the main channel page. Shoot me an email bud!
Do you have a guide on using otk with the new machine?
I do not. I tend to shy away from being a "Tech" channel when it comes to things like this.
When I started to put one together, I searched some other ones out for info - and I realized there's no need to reinvent the wheel, Wagner (and others) have done wonderful jobs already.
So I recommend checking out this video on Wagner's Tech Talk here:

You can stretch the back glass on most games in settings. Glad to see you got one 👍
Oh snap!!! Thanks for the heads up! Appreciate you watching, Craig!
@@digitalvictory8266 I think it's in the actual UI settings, not the individual game.
@@911_K9_Training YES!! I found it!! Thanks guys!
I love Shooting the Rapids. In my top 3 for sure. The OTG Thumb drive option is very interesting and can't wait to see that come to fruition.
Yeah, gonna be a game changer for a lot of folks that don't want to mess with computers and OTG. I predict it will sell a lot of systems for AT@Games.
Is those leds on the front of the back board stock? The color changing ones? That move with sound?
Hi Dans, no - they're not stock. I added them myself, they're a great product. I did a quick video on them here, and there is a link in the description for them on my Amazon Affiliate account.

Five, three on the bottom row and one on each side vertically.

You must have added the RGB lighting below the backbox. Can you tell us about that?

I've literally NEVER said, "Man, I wish this playfield was bigger."
And to build - OR to buy? Again, for me, it was easy, as I have no facilities here for any handiwork (we park both cars int he garage) and I'm not particularly handy, nor do I have any tools for that. LOL
I respect the fact that others prefer that, and appreciate their skill - but I don't have that skillset, so it was an easy decision.
Yes, it's on the Attack from Mars table.
I got it with the SSF kit pre-installed. I'm not very proficient at hardware hands-on work.
Great new setup. Looks fantastic. Missing the T-Rex though 😂
I can fix that!!!!
I thought you could stretch the back glass images . Someone did it on black hole
Yep, I learned that after I did the video. Good to know!
What is the OTG thumb drive thing coming out?
A bought one receive the discount codes but the topper could not appear on their page just the ssf kit
Yeah, I can't overstress the impact of the SSF on play - it's phenomonal. And it's a real eye-catcher - just a gorgeous machine!
Looks great! The problem with playing vpx natively is, The hardware built into the cab is not capable of playing all the tables available. Especially the vpw tables, running through your PC is still the best way to go. Just my opinion, play On! 😁
Yes indeed. There are higher-end VPX tables that just won't work on that USB mod, and that's too bad.
Agree that PC is the better, preferred method.
I honestly don't know.
That's a great question. Maybe some of my smart Team Victory members can help answer.
Appreciate you watching!
Looks great congrats
Good to see you, Gary!! Thanks man!
Shooting the rapids is just phenomenal!
Nice. I still have not pulled the trigger on it. I have the HD one that I am thinking of selling to help fund it.
Yeah, that's my next step too!! (selling my old one)
You think you will be joining the flipper friends tournament for the 4k owners?
Maybe - I'm a bit crazy right now time-wise, but it would be fun for sure.
I playing in Pinball FX3 in my XBOX SERIES X. Great table 😎🫵
Would you say the graphics are a step up, but not mind blowing?
I think that's fair. Especially to an old guy (58) like me, my eyes don't exactly see every pixel at 1080! LOL
But i also believe the screens just look better! Sharper, brighter, more contrast - and the SIZE of that backglass is mind blowing! (remember how small the HD is?)
Great review it's got me considering this purchase
DV, were you able to sell your Hd machine? How much may i ask, i may want to sell mine and grab this. Looking good
I haven't done anything yet, other than move it out of my game room! Believe me, my wife is THRILLED its taking up space in the family room! LOL
But certainly my plan is to sell it.

Hi! In VPX physical nudging does work over OTG. You just have to set the axis accordingly in the controls.
What kind of computer are you using with the 4k otg setup? Or is it a custom build.
I was able to find a good deal on an Open-Box unit from Best buy on a gaming PC: i7-14700KF 3.4GHz; RTX4060Ti 8GB; 16GB RAM.
Thanks for reminding me, I need to add that to my video description.
Hello where is the Spiderman & SpongeBob game available?
Hi Ness, I have the links in the Video Description.
They're VPX tables, being played on PC THROUGH the Legends Pinball via OTG.
@ got it! Is it easy to install & access? I presume it’s a standalone application that you run? Versus Pinball FX on steam where you have a library of games on one application.
What is your current SSF configuration settings? Thanks
I cranked up all (except Sub to medium) to HIGH! LOL
Did I just hear correctly? Plug and play vpx tables with usb ? Whaatt!!! I need to have this pinball now
You DID hear that correct!!! Do not attempt to adjust your radio! It is in testing right now. Like I said, more news to come, but it's a real thing!
@digitalvictory8266 I think it is based on the vpx standalone build. Tried it on my android phone. The one table I got to work looks and plays great. Most tables don't load for me but I have a budget phone. If it works, it will be great for the alp. No pc needed!

Can't wait!
Jacobs Square
Uuhh, wut?
Its stupid that zen chose to run it in a android container instead of straight off the hardware. So you get that extra layer hence the lag.
I have nothing to disagree with you on that, Brother!
Appreciate you watching!
OTG Lag?
No sir - I notice no difference in my OTG performance between this and my HD machine.
So then looks like 4K is the way to go, with OTG. Why bother with other tables and lag… am I right?
What happened to your T-Rex? bring back Rexy.
A lot has changed in a month.
I don't agree with you.
@@digitalvictory8266 Really, what new games have been released for the original model in 1080? I looked at the atgames site. Anything they offer is pure horse pies for the original model. So yes the older model has been discarded like trash, as well as the customers. Only way to go is third party. We already have companies sprouting to custom install games though a PC to the old legend 1080 ;(
I don't not agree with you at all!
For that money I can see why you have to like it.
I don't know what you mean by that, but thanks for watching.
The issue with LAG with this and original - is something in this age we should not have. I have people come play my HD OTG tables and the first complaint is flipper lag. Then they dont like it and give up - Party Over. Its not bad lag but its just enough to throw your game if you arent used to it.
build your own, it is 100x better than this. flipper lag, are you serious?
I'm not interested in building my own. Or building a computer.
I have great respect for those with that talent, and skillset. But I'm not that guy.
Appreciate you watching though.
@@digitalvictory8266 A shame. On my computer, this table plays pin sharp and zero lag.
