Years ago I went to see SC and before they started after the opening band. A very friendly guy started chatting with me. Complemented me on my jacket, and we talked music for a bit, we were making jokes, laughing, and having just a great time. Then he said, "Oh I've gotta go", went up on stage and started getting ready, then played an awesome show. It was Mac from Superchunk. At the time I had no idea what he looked like so I didn't even know who I was talking to until he went up on stage. I always remember that encounter because he was such a genuinely nice person. Even before I saw him play and knew who he was, I was thinking, wow this guy is so cool! Left such an amazingly good impression on me of this band that has lasted to this day.
Went to see them in Auckland nz in the 90's they played with the 3d's and buffalo tom at the powerstation . great night! love Superchunk!

I had a similar experience in San Diego in 2003 meeting Boysetsfire and another one in 2007 in Bernice PA meeting the Deron Miller from CKY

Superchunk rules! I recall sending the band an email 20+ years back regarding an upcoming show and if they would play my favorite song “Iron On” of this album. Jon the drummer responded and sure enough they played it when they were in town. That’s interaction!

I first heard this song at Camelot Music in '95. I put on the display headphones to hear the newest music that came out, no idea who they were... bought the cassette after hearing this song.

I was at school in CH during the mid to late 80's I used to see Laura all the time in Carrboro and knew she was the HEAT and awesome way before all the acclaim. I never had the nerve to talk to her..................knowing I was way outa my league in about 10 ways. But at 62 I still wish I had.
Hella yeah! Used to see these guys at the Cat's Cradle and up in NYC. I remeber many mornings when my neck was sore from shaking my brains around! great music and great era! WE HAVE TO BRING IT ALL BACK AGAIN!
