  • In this video I am trying out a brand new Hayter harrier mower that one of my regular customers just purchased. I also cut some grass using their ride on mower.😀👍

    Doesn’t seem to rev that high, maybe I’m used to hearing my Honda mover.

    Nice video👍🏼Seems perfectly fine for homeowner use. But if you’re in the market for a new mower, if you were to consider the Hayter, then stick to the Pro models as they’re built with the professional in mind (metal roller, stronger gearbox, bearings etc). In terms of the green blade engagement lever, I’ve had 2 pro Hayters since 2019 and one broke off for the first time in the last month, but I glued it back on and it still works as normal as it ever did.

    Used Hayter's for many years in the past, great machines and give a lovely cut. Only down side is weight, and the drive goes quite often. That may just be the older models though! In the market for a new mower myself, but as I'm hoping to retire in the next few years, don't really want to invest too much money!

    • @mdgardenservices7819

      Yeah didseem to give a nice cut.
      I’ve got a way to go before retirement so need something to last my old lawn flight mower is 15 years old this year, been a great mower👍

      @@mdgardenservices7819. All I can say is do your research. I bought a mower 2 years ago off the back of my previous mower, which was outstanding, unfortunately, the new model is a pile of crap! The after sales service is also non existent! I will not name the company, but they are red or yellow! 🤔

    Have a look at the Pro models at your local dealer, 48pro or 56pro.
    I liked my old Hayter but much prefer my Stihl roller mower

    • @mdgardenservices7819
      @mdgardenservices7819  Год назад +1

      Yeah might have to have a look, not sure if they would last as long as my lawn flight mower with its Honda engine!
      Prices seem about the same on the pro mowers.🤷‍♂️

      @@mdgardenservices7819 I heard Honda are going to stop producing engines and concentrate more on battery powered machines. Parts will still be available for many years even if they stopped production of them, could be worth getting another as it's a brand you trust and happy with.

    • @mdgardenservices7819
      @mdgardenservices7819  Год назад

      Yeah I think most companies are heading that way now!

    • @beardyface8492
      @beardyface8492 Год назад

      @@TheHitman180 Of course they're going battery-electric, that way they get to sell you most of the value of the equipment every 3 to 5 years (new battery), instead of a mower once every 15 to 30 years.
      They'll all be at it once they realise people will replace the machine after the 2nd battery rather than spend that much on an "old mower".
