I’ve got both mowers which were brand new a year ago, The stihl one is still going after a year with no problems apart from you can’t use it on lowest setting. The hayter was the favourite but after a few months the handle bars broke as they are so cheaply made and we got them welded then the drive cable broke and it was put away until now when I’m taking it for repairs. Really disappointing was the hayter , I have one from 35 years ago that’s built like a tank and we still use it. They don’t make them like they used to
The older hatters were brilliant with a bigger shoot the new ones aren’t built as good I brought this one a year or so ago and had the drive cable done and another repair not so long ago
They get so much use but like you say aren’t built so good
The Honda 536 pro is the best mower on the market in my opinion I just don’t have the spare funds to switch right now

I personally think it's a good to have both mower's if you can. Not everyone has a flat garden. Another satisfying video son .👍
Thank you again both great but I love my hayter
My last job I worked at a hire company which used both hayter harrier 48Pro and the older viking 655 both real work horses, hayter were loved by the customers but not so much by the fitters rear roller rebuild an expensive and time consuming job. Had one of the newer large roller stihl mowers a seriously heavy and quality mower loved by all that used it.
Would love to try the self propelled sthil roller mower so that I can compare properly between that and the hayter and possible try to compare to the Honda pro and Viking

I’ve also tried the Honda 536 which was also very good
But love the hayter
The 4 wheeler is more versatile for winter can hoover the lawn free of leaves without all the mud and worm cast getting caught up in your roller putting strain on the drive belt and creating a repair job .

hi mate can I just ask… what mower would you most recommend for soft, tall wet grass? really struggling with what one to buy, I want to get a really good one so don’t mind paying £1000+
Have a look for an etesia pro 46 mate they are great in the wet

Yes I cut lawns and run my own gardening firm
I think Stihl is the best.
I really like sthil products I also use hayter and Honda
Hilarious that you call a mower without a roller a "Rough Cut Mower" and then in the next shot you're striping your weed bed.
That’s because it’s the sort of mower most gardening company’s use for rough cutting crap lawns
The lawn I was going over was a crap lawn
Neither is best. They are both the best
I equally like Honda they make very good mowers
