Looking at doing mine. My 2019 FR has the EA888 Gen3.b engine so there's the mass airflow sensor ontop of the intake.
Great video, watched from start to finish and I’m thinking of getting a similar intake for my TT as well!
Appreciate it! Definitely makes a nice difference to the car overall and looks tidy!
Intake on any turbo car is a must have mod to me even if it's the only mod you do. How can you not love the that sound?
I have put intakes on a couple BMWs of mine and it caused it to have a rough idle. I just got my Audi TT mk3 and am thinking of doing an intake. Does it idle rough on startup?
No issues at all on here. This intake was previously installed on an Audi S3 with no issues as well.
Hey Dan. Ive got the tt tuned to stage 1 doing around 310bhp. Is this worth doing? I'm not planning on getting it tuned any higher. They said no hardware upgrades were required for stage 1.
I think in terms of performance gains you probably wont make a huge difference - but the sound is much better and it will probably help the engine overall with the extra power, as well as a sharper throttle response. I'd say its not an essential upgrade, but the next logical one for you (unless you go for exhaust). I got mine really cheaply from a friend so it was a no brainer.
Hey Dan
I've been subscribed to your channel for a while. I've got a little tip for you. It would be way more "watchable" if you had a head strap for your camera or mounted it somewhere else instead of cutting some parts where you had to use two hands. In the end, it's not really a DIY video because of this issue.
Keep it up though!
Totally fair enough, I have one that I've used for POV videos but in this instance (as you may be able to tell by my quiet speaking) I have a next door neighbor who takes offence to absolutely anything I do so I was trying to do it quietly and inconspicuously! Will take this on board for the next one though.
Nothing wrong with the vid. Ignore the comment.
