Came for the overloading content, and the GTI was a nice surprise. I just got a 2018 GTI manual and love it. I have a budget off road vehicle as well (2002 Pathfinder) and I know I'd miss having a small & quick car in the fleet. Hate to spend your money for you but I'd say keep it!
Keep it! And get a new one to compare the two.
It'll be ok grumpy Jason! That got me 😂
Nice upgrade!!
Jason I’ve been debating the same exact thing for these past few months now. I have a mk7 GTI with close to 100k miles. I love it, it’s base model, no sunroof (which I prefer this generation) DSG, all maintenance is up to date, BUT suspension is showing it’s age (you can hear it creak), and other random metal clicking noises once in awhile on throttle. The problem is the GTI is a hard car to one up. It really is a great car. In NY winters can be harsh too and snow tires do help, but AWD with snow tires is nice too. The market puts me with a lot of equity in the car, but with car prices rising all together it’s the “same difference”. In a dream world, I’d keep the GTI and have a Quattro or 4motion car, or golf r… excited to see what you decide, maybe it’ll sway me 🍻
Yeah, with snow tires it’s great as long as roads are plowed.
Suspension video is out btw.
She's a beautiful little car, gonna be a tough decision!
to make things straight, THE BEST intake for ANYTHING is Eventuri
I've been looking for a used GTI, but like you said used prices are sky high. Maybe in a few more months...
Yeah that's really the only reason I'm interested in selling it. Kind of a once in a blue moon opportunity to get something new (IF you can find a dealer that will sell new cars/trucks at MSRP).
Keep the GTI!
I’m in the same boat with my Focus RS, is there something you’d (eventually) replace it with?
Yes sir. Definitely 4x4 or AWD… still with a manual as well.
It’s so dumb Ford stopped making those!
i never even used the drain hose in bottom, it just wouldnt fit right
Yeah that was the only negative thing with this install.
@@JasonExplainsThings the i fixed it after i posted above, with a little sandpaper on the inside of the hole. the o-ring then popped in smoothly.
keep it at least you no what you have
I smell a give away to one lucky viewer!! 😜
This is that annoying comment he speaks of..
😑
Don’t sell it, its an awesome car!
It is an awesome car for sure.
I would NOT sell it…. VW won’t make them anymore soon and getting a manual will be impossible or super expensive…. VW has already said that manuals die on 2023…. So keep it, have fun and love it!
I’ll say that IF I sold it another manual would 100% be the plan.
Don’t sell. You sound as though you enjoy it.
DIY is DO IT YOURSELF, BIG EMPHASIS YOURSELF not BOUGHT.
Oh man, thanks for the laugh guy. I’m so sorry I don’t fabricate my own cold air intakes. I failed you. I failed all of you.
