As I’ve gotten older, I have found that if I save my money for a more quality piece for my car, I get more enjoyment out of it than a bunch of little stuff.
The opposite for me. At 25, my MK6 was modded more "tastefully" (OEM+ and power). I dumped a lot of money into that car. I said to myself for the MK7, I'll take a much more conservative approach. But I got to have some kind of content, if not for power mods right? Hence this video. As long as it helps some people, I'm fine with it. Who has time for all this hate, especially at a time like this, right?
It's the little tiny details. Like the windshield/dash rubber piece, and the door hinge covers and other little details that make your video so helpful. I would have never thought to look those items up. Thank you for a great video! Subscribed and thumbs up!
I love these man, everyone has their opinions but i find that youve done a good job, a few of these might have been a tad too much. i personally have a mk7.5 and some of these ive done to my own car too. it doesnt matter what other poeple think, if you car makes you happy then at the end of the day its the best car in the world :)

The neck cushions will legit break your neck in a collision thats why the genuine ones protrude less. You need to know that headrests are not there to rest your head, they were initially introduced to stock peoples neck snapping back in a collision.

The noise in the shield is from soundaktor. I have the some sound vibration and one day i broke my front shield and when they subtitute, they see that the soundaktor is not fixed corret. Is very simple to fix and stop that sound vibration inside.

It's not actually a headrest, it's a neck restraint. It's so when you get rear ended your neck doesn't snap and kill you. Now you've gone and put a damn pillow there to make sure you screw up your neck if you get in an accident... just adjust your posture if your neck hurts while driving lol

Some of this is good some is bad and I think u may have gone a bit over board but big fan of the carbon fibre badges and wing mirror covers 👍🏻
Yeah some are great for the money, some aren't. The good thing for viewers - they get to decide what they want / not want based on the video.
If you have the DSG, you shouldn’t have any problems with Stage 1. I have even heard the DSG can handles 600hp plus.
Not all dsg versions are the same, but most of them have a good reserve.

Honestly I don't think this video deserves the hate I'm seeing in the comments. Yes, some of these mods are useless/tacky/ricer. But a good amount of these are actually functional and when used in moderation these aesthetic mods can do a lot to improve/personalize the look of the vehicle

I'm trying to understand why so many people are saying you ruined the car. It's all basically interior upgrades that YOU like. It's YOUR car,and YOU can do whatever you want. And I personally didnt think you over did it. Its still an R and still a beautiful car either way. People hating are mad cause they still only own a shit Honda ricer like every kid you see at car meets who have done all Exterior upgrades with a fart can exhaust with nothing under the hood.

Riley, the purpose of the video was to cover all the items that viewers might be interested in. It’s their decision to decide what is a waste of money. It’s not like I’m making their car worse. It’s my car and this time around, I don’t have 10k to throw on performance mods like I did in the MK6. If you think from a content creator stand point, you might start to understand. Personally I find the neckrest pillow useful. I like to lean back when I drive. I have a GTI and I brought them. Without them it felt rather uncomfortable.

neon lights are sick. Some other mods I find a bit cheesy, ricery even the steering wheel cover looks pretty cheap and just out of place. The amount of RGB lights make it look like some 15 year old girl picked out the mods.

So many wires and shit all over the interior... blech. Truly too much crap. Like you went to the autozone and went to the stick on accessory aisle. I’m a little surprised you’re having clutch issues with just stage I, too. That’s a bummer.
I was referring to the clutch issues in the MK6, which was a stage 2+ beast. Dropped a ton of money on performance mods, which lead to multiple clutch replacements. Hence why I went a different route with the MK7. Tacky mods all over!!
