Nice vid, also own the Pro. Have analouge dash on my GTI Clubsport though.. But would be sweet if an outer red ring around the dash's speed sign could be set to blink or pulsate, just to indicate a speed sign change. Or perhaps having a function like that when say a speed camera is coming up.. 👍
Yeah that would be cool! Changing speeds or overtake warning sign hidden behind speed isn’t very noticeable.

Definitely activating that on my 2020 golf R how dumb to have the stuff already in the car to be to it but have it turned off lol on the bright side so many features can be enabled just using a simple scan tool or the pro stuff if you prefer it.

Have you seen anything about the dynamic road sign display working on the GTIs? I have the mk7.5 with the lane assist, so it does have the camera, but i'm wondering how it would show up in my non digital cluster.

It's incredible how much isn't enabled in these cars. I have a Tiguan R-line mk2, and a Golf R mk7.5 and it's great to know I can change both clusters to the same so that it doesn't bother my brain.

I am getting an OBDeleven for my '19 Jetta, excited to try some of this stuff. It does have a digital dash & front camera so I wonder if it is capable of sign recognition. We shall see.

How did you trigger the additional speed value increments on speedometer reading ? (10,30,50....) mine is annoyingly goes 20, 40, 60 ....
Any idea on how to change the speedo to only go up to 200, but make it mph. Im in the US buying a canadian golf r. When you change it to mph, it changes the units but still goes to 320.

How do you access the google page to road signs ie speed etc. I live in the uk. Are these changes for lighting like the ambience straight forward?
I'm not sure why exactly this happened, but after going through the road sign coding and high beam assist coding, somehow the reverse gear trigger for my rear view camera actuation and both of my reverse lights are not longer activating. 2016 golf r, I've gone through and reversed every change I could find, still nothing. Any ideas on what could be going on? No active faults either, car drives perfect.

Hello! I found the steps adaption and all the way to Tube Settings. When I try to change vatiants my OBDeleven says something like not availiable every time I try to apply the new setting. Any clue?
Why do you have the odd speeds displayed on your speedo? Mine only has the even, large numbers, there are no smaller odd number (10,30,50,70 etc...)

I'm curious. Since activating road sign recognition, does the car emit a noise/warning alerting you if you have gone over posted speed limit?
There is a setting in infotainment system to enable that. I haven’t done the mod yet but what i’ve noticed from videos

It’s all nice but how the fudge stickles do you get an average fuel consumption at 7.2? Everyone is saying the Golf R is thirsty...that almost diesel low.
Low 7s is my legit average. For long hwy trips I can get it into 5L/100. It’s within 1L per 100k of what my GTI got for economy. It launch hard from almost every stop but cruise normal after that.

Question: Amazon tells me the OBD Eleven is out of stock. I've tried looking around the interwebs to find more info, but nothing solid as of yet. Has anyone heard anything about these coming back in stock any time soon? I heard rumors that a new version may be coming out soon, maybe that's part of it? My brother has an old vagcom/vcds, but long coding is killing me. :S Is it worth learning more about it to do it manually? Or should I just wait patiently for the OBD Eleven to come back? Thanks!
The next gen OBDeleven is available now. On amazon USA. Links in description. It is good to use forums for long coding as it saves you credit money, but there are ways to grind for credits on an Android to earn them quick if you want.

Driver assistance package yes, nothing else besides the software changes.

Does the car need laneassist as a option for the traffic sign deception to work?
Yea, I think so because it requires front camera. Older MK7 models that don’t self steer would need dynamic light assist to have the front camera.

I’m coding manually, it costs nothing to change settings that way. Credit system is for the ‘apps’ they put in to do the coding for you. Convenience fee. You can code anything with no extra fees with the PRO code.

By far what are your favorites?
For coding changes? Adaptive lane keeping, key fob buttons active with ignition on, remote windows, heated seat retention, fan speed indicator on auto, accent color change and dots background display in gauges. Also the tail light recoding.

M240i Shenanigans door and sill strip lighting cannot be changed. Always blue on R. Always red on GTI

M240i Shenanigans good luck and enjoy your new R. Don’t go for the tail light recoding first, it’s the hardest and most manual one. Do the easy ones for sure, get used to the tool. You doing obdeleben apps, obdeleven pro long coding, or VCDS long coding?
I actually changed the look of my gauges without software.. I’m still trying to figure out how I did that.

how did you get the european style fuel/oil temperature gauges? (ex: 0 and 1 instead of E and F for fuel)

I have not found that. I’m thinking no but sometimes things like that are figured out long term. Forums help.
@@netcruzer On a latest technology Peugeot that has that ability of road sign detection and adaptive cruise control, when the system recognizes the speed sign you have to press confirm on the cruise control in order to input that speed setting to the system. it's not fully automated yet I would like to think without having to interact with it.

You can do ambient lighting with any OBDeleven using apps and the credit system. It’s easiest way I did not code mine manually, you only need pro for manual adaptations and canbus long coding.

VW doesn’t use TPMS sensors. It’s based on the wheel rotation detected with the pressure changes.

Hi there, wanted to ask if obdeleven works with all vw cars normally because i heard that i need to have my car kinda hacked to apply codes from obdeleven to car is that true? Or i can apply codes from obdeleven just plugging in the device and start coding?
No hacks. This is using the CANBUS coding functionality of VWs since 2006+. The VERY newest models have something buit in that tracks coding changes, but OBD11 got approved and it's still allowed to make changes on the very newest vehicles.
Are you still getting the "dynamic road sign display is currently limited" warning, or did that go away eventually?
That always remains, it's a silent message and doesn't affect functionaliy. As far as I know It's because I'm in North America and our signs look different.
@@netcruzer Mine's doing it too...I usually don't even notice as it goes off before I leave my neighborhood. What I did notice, however, is that now when I use the built in navigation, the speed limit signs on it are now European as well, where they used to be North American.

That’s dependent on outside temps. Winter it can take 20mins, summer it’s about 5 to get up to 100c

The instructions somewhat worked but im still not getting the signs to display. Can you send a detailed list? I've noticed since I have a 2018 GTI autobahn the categories are named differently. The option is now in my menu system and its activated in my Infotainment system options.
