I just watched a few of your videos and I don't understand why you don't have more subscribers the information you put out is great, You have earned my subscription!
Just got my order from McMaster Carr. With shipping $48 for a 24x24 piece of FEP. Ten sheets. Basically $5 per sheet. Maybe not such a great deal when you consider shipping. Maybe I didn't pay close enough attention to the shipping options. I have a Longer Orange 30 and I was calculating based on the sheet size that comes with the machine. But I think I can shrink it down and get 13 sheets out of the piece I bought. $3.70 a sheet.
You just saved me over researching a topic new to me. Thanks. I just ordered a printer, and I'm trying to source everything I'm going to need while I wait for it to show up. Check one thing off the list.
I don't have any video of the cutting process but I can tell you that I've bought and swear by using a 24" commercial paper trimmer like this www.amazon.com/X-ACTO-Commercial-Square-Guillotine-Trimmer/dp/B001DEK6Z6 to get easy and super clean cuts on my bulk FEP rolls as well as cutting some of the other experimental films I am playing with.
I have just got my first 3D printer, a Creality 006. Will this work for me as well? I have NO idea how I did it but I messed up my FEP sheet on the fourth print. I was printing exposure test squares and it "morphed".
Yep that should work for your machine. Though my advice in this video is a bit dated since at that time there were very few options for places to get quality FEP sheets. Its worth also checking on amazon to see if there are even cheaper options available to fit your machine.
I have heard horror stories about killing your LCD when the FEP gets a leak. It there a reason you cant just add a piece of FEP over the LCD in addition to the pice on the resin tray?
Hello, how are these FEP sheets compared to the "nFEP" from Epax which most people say it's PFA (which is quite better vs regular FEP)? (and if you take a look at the FEPs on Sonic Mini 4K, those are quite bad, so... ). I'd be happy to read your thoughts, Hiro.
The PFA ($36.22) from McMaster-Carr is almost twice as expensive as FEP ($18.59). This size (12' x 24") should give me six sheets (6" x 8") for my Mars.
Normally I would be right there with ya as McMasters is crazy expensive. But for FEP sheets they fit nicely into that middle gap of cheaper than the crazy high prices from 3d print manufacturers that are cutting and repacking from a bulk roll and longer average lifespan than the stuff I find on Amazon that is occaisonally cheaper but has caused consistency and durability issues in my experience.
This is not a good deal. Flexvat sells a 12" by 5 foot roll for $43 shipped. That is a 305 x 1525 mm. The mono x and similar machines take a 140 x 200 sheet. This means you can only get 14 pieces out of this. At that price it is almost twice as expensive as the stuff on amazon for the same thickness. Please take this video down before othe people buy based on your recommendation. I didnt do the calculation because i trusted you but i shouldn't have.

I appreciate that! Thank you!
I think you're going to go far, man. You talk clearly, present well, and seem genuine. Got a sub from me

Do you have a video of how to cut, fit and pierce the bulk product? Thank you and have a most awesome day!

@@HiroCreations What do you use to make the holes for were the screws go thru? Thank you and have a most awesome afternoon!
@@jeffalessi Since I use a frame to slightly pretension the FEP before putting it on I can easily piece it with tweezers or even a allen wrench.
This is a very good idea! I always feel cool placing orders on mcmaster carr. Oh, and tell ur mum I say hi.
Thanks! But which one? 😉

Great video
Which company fab is better ?
Great video. Just getting into SLA myself and when I need to replace my fep I will remember this. Subscribed!
Do u have any idea on nfep?
Thanks, just getting into resin printing. Watching all your videos.

I have a screen protector on my printer just in case
It seems paying for non-stick, elastic would be an unnecessary expense.

Anytime!
Great info! Thanks!
Thanks! :)
I dont understand why people are having a problem getting cheap FEP sheets. They sell 10 sheets in a pack for $20 on amazon.
Any sources in Eu?
Are you allowed to use the word "cheaper" and McMaster Carr in the same sentence?

Very useful information. Thank you very much!
I living in Japan but can't find any on market
Can you give a link where to buy in Japan?
Pity that i've to pay $ 57 for shipping outside US :(
Great info! Didn't know about this. Very useful!
Subscribed to make your mother happy.
Sovol sels cheap FEP...
I use laminator sheets. That’s even cheaper.
but laminator sheets are transparent?
We've known this all for years.
You'd be surprised at how many people still don't and pay far too much for FEP sheets, which is the why I made the video.
Must be great to know it all
@@HiroCreations I appreciate your knowledge! I just got into the field of resin printing and I didn't know this!
