As Mr. C said, the Twins didnt do this comparison mainly because the Vanquish ones were untested. This video is the Vanquish Wildpeak test (plus the extra fake Wildpeak run). Now, what we need is another video, where the twins do a "this vs that" Again, this video was the Redux, not a comparison
honestly probably the best the green insert has worked on baseline ( for his weight) and possibly the best the green has looked in any tire. I would try some sidewall rings on the inside only of these tires all the way to the outer corner to hold the tread edge better, to see how they do.
I’m one of those that went out and bought the Vanquish Wildpeaks on purpose for my Axial Early Bronco, mostly because I like the look of Wildpeaks on this truck and wanted to give Vanquish a chance. I have them on Method 105 wheels and Crawler Innovations Lil’ Nova Comp Cut 4.5 dual stage (medium front, firm rear). I don’t have a tonne of time on them but they are doing better than the stock Axial Falkens and foams. I do see a lot of tire wrinkle in the rear and the front dual stage outers tend to slip sideways with hard cornering, but I can live with all that. Will the Vanquish sidewalls hold up over time? Probably not, but that will just be an excuse to mount up something else. The addiction is real.
Oh, if the battle is between the Axial Wildpeak and the Vanquish Wildpeak, it's not even close-- too soft and too thin (Vanquish) is gonna walk all over too firm and too thick (Axial.) My complaint with the Vanquish is they made it wrong, and instead of remaking it correctly, they just crammed a rock hard foam in it. Then they doubled down, because the Geolandar is basically the same tire. I guess they maybe don't want an OE tire that lasts very long? I dunno.
My experience is that the Vanquish Wildpeaks are better on bespoke 3D inserts than on silicone, but not by a ton. When they inevitably shred themselves they'll be replaced with something else.
Some tires really step up moving from the chonky silicone to 3D... and others do not. Silicone is for the Vanquish, for as you said, they're gonna self-disassemble at some point.
Axial Wildpeaks are at a 94.4, fake Wildpeaks are at a 94.3, and as you said, Vanquish Wildpeaks are at a 95.3 (which is 23rd place) If you want the best Wildpeak performer, you know you need the Vanquish ones. If you are smart (and dont want the best performance), now you know you need the fake Wildpeaks
The Twins are basically Poor Man's Ultras, so they're beefy boys, both around 7lbs. I only have the one set of unmodified blue silicone, but I got greens everywhere.
Go back to the start is my best advice. If the rig isn't doing what you want it to do, you gotta work towards why. I make 8 changes at once partially out of recklessness, and partially because I've done this a couple of times. Single change is definitely the safest route, especially for your wallet.
This is a job for the twins.
Yeah, this is not a fair comparison.

That is highighter green.
Inoticed you quoted "Meaning of Life" and I see the parallel there with the ripping.
Or maybe I just have Beadlock Fever!
Hello my name is Bill and I’m addicted to Beadlocks 🤣

Beadlock addiction is a serious issue , we need a support group!
That support group would just turn into a place where people shared good deals on beadlocks. Therefore, I think it's a great idea!
@CrawlerCanyon Sad but trueeee..
My name is Justin and I’m addicted to beadlocks
That is so green!
That's the same can that painted Jake, but un-patina-ed, so at it's full, glaring, "Gloss Jungle Green" brightness.

Man I love my Element SE but somehow I have messed mine up and I have only changed a few things. It needs some help to be great again
