I bought this CD when I was 14, and it never got old to me. Not one time. They use a melodic tone combined with orchestral style breakdowns... the timing is flawless. One of my favorite bands of all time 💯
When listening to Tool it helps to do a lyrics video. Maynard’s pen takes it to a whole new level.
Seen them perform this song live a few times. That ending blows your head off. 🤯
I have seen *HUNDREDS* of live bands.
I have seen Tool live 3 times.
Let me rank my favorite live performances of all time for you;
1. Tool
2. Tool
3. Tool
4. Um... maybe The Foo Fighters? Idk. Ramstein was awesome. Really it's like a 20-band tie and 4th doesn't even matter here.
You made my night watching this. I wish I could hear it again for the first. Bought this album in high school the day it came out. Life changing.
Next song reactions should be Jambi, Schism, Pneuma, Vicarious and The Grudge
Would love to see a Vicarious reaction forsure
vicarious reaction with the lyrics would be sick
The Pot gets me pretty worked up too
Lateralus too!
Tool is a whole mood... headphones and " tool therapy" 🔥
You grovin with 46&2 is fire!! Wait until you read the lyrics and the meaning of 46&2!🤯🤯🤯
Love the energy man, glad to see you share my appreciation for these incredible musicians.
Keep up the keepin up.
Rich the Ancient Metal Beast
Ah, I wish I could go back and experience this album for the first time again. Masterpiece, still sounds new after all these years. Enjoy.
I've been hundreds of concerts and played tons of shows but nothing will compare to Tool live. Amazing flawless musicians.
This is how I want everyone to react to Tool. I absolutely adore this guy. National Treasure!
25 years old and this album is STILL better than 99% of the shit out there. Love his reactions to this !
Welcome to the GOAT! Saw em live in 96 small venue and i was hooked. Almost 2 dozen concerts later no one can compare
Been listening to tool since this album was released. It is so great seeing these reaction videos to people getting to experience their vibe for the first time! Some suggested tracks of theirs that I feel fit in the same style they provide are Lateralus, Pneuma, The Witness, Culling Voices, and 7empest.
Is it just me or does it drive anyone else crazy when it skips a part, even if it is just a couple beats? Lol
He has to for copyright reasons. I hate it to but he makes money off his channel so he can't infringe on someone else's money.
@@williamtindol8503 yeah yeah I know. 😁. I just hate getting into a song and bam. Like singing real loud in the car and someone stops the music mid sentence.
@@allisonj6774 reminds me when they would play 'black magic woman' on the radio and stop the song before Santana does the ending guitar solo just to save like 30 seconds...
Yessssss!!!
There was a cut at the beginning of the drum solo, that was the last one I could take
“Ticks and Leeches” would ruin LayedBak. Make it happen people!
You gotta listen to The Outsiders by A Perfect Circle. Shit slaps.
My other favorite band
@@aterryadg a perfect circle, Tool, and Puscifer all have the same singer
Jared Brown yep!
Yes yes yes 👍
From the heart, love that people from all walks of life can share in these pieces of themselves (songs, experiences, etc). It just shows us that we're all more alike than we are different, even if we all express it in different ways.
Keep enjoying and having fun with this stuff. Peace n' love.
Layed: "I'm drinking on this water, you already know what it is"
New guy on the channel: "WHAT IS IT!? WHAT IS IT!?!?!?!"
Hahahaha
that was me 20 minutes ago lmao
How have none of y'all told him to listen to Tool - Sober, Tool - Schism, Or Tool - Floods???
The entire undertow album is top tier
@@gannicusii4163 Oh facts dawg, Alot of AMAZING tracks on that album. Hope he gets to react to several of those soon.
I’m pretty sure his Patreon got the Schism reaction, but Sober is 100% a must if he goes on this journey
I've been telling him for about a year already, but I'm not a patreon subscriber
He mainly listens to hip hop like me and most of his listeners.
The happiness on his face. They all feel it. Watching first reactions to tool is becoming a pasttime.
I'd LOVE to hear this song for the first time again! This entire album is top notch stuff.
I love this way too much! I love that we have an entire community of people that don’t know this band and seeing your reaction to hearing this for the first time is such a warming feeling that I love to see! Keep doing you man!
I subscribed because of your Tool reactions!!! You keep killin it and jamming to these legends!! I highly suggest using lyric videos for some of their songs btw!
Why is this man so underrated, honestly, he's the GOAT
Underrated means not given enough attention, he has 1.93 millions subs!!!, people love using that word but don’t use it correctly, he would be underrated if he had 10.000 subs
@@mannyvelizofficial he needs more
@@fabiongnl4880 yes he does but his not underrated
That’s funny you say they have maynard tucked away in the back. He creeps around the back of the stage on live performances.
My thinking was the beats headphones, they're quite heavy with the bass so he's probably being pushed back even more.
Just a thought.
“Very musical group if that makes sense”
Yes, spot on. Makes perfect sense... Love your reactions🤘🏼 You’ve only scratched the surface with Tool…. Would love to see more from you!
You said that the vocals sounded low and to the back. Which is exactly how the lead singer preforms live shows. he even goes as far hiding behind a screen. LOVE what you do and how you do it man, keep em coming. I love your honesty on all music you review.
i love the fact that this dude made the channel that was majority rap and pop, but now we realize this guy just loves *music*. That’s gotta be one of the most respectful things on this platform.
Lyric video will help for your next reaction my guy. “Lateralus” is a must! Tell your brain I said sorry 😂
Lateralus... next Tool to jam to imo. Need to keep breaking you in. Slowly.
Gently
Jambi or the Pot. You can't lead with Lateralus.
I just love your metal/rock reactions man. Honest reactions to the songs thatmade me love the genre.
How I wish I could here these songs again for the first time.
Dude... Been rockin to TOOL for 20 years. Super Cool to see the old shit still kicks it for younger Gens. TOOL's new Kick is HARD AS "F". They just get better and better. Nice vid man.
Been waiting for this one
Love this... Listen to his other band "A Perfect Circle" the song "Judith" you will lose your shit...
Bro it don't matter what song or what album you listen to because there all 🔥 and just think they've been around since the early 90's and still relevant and fresh like it just dropped..enjoy and I'm finally glad you got a chance to listen
Best description of Tool ever: "These Dudes Different Bruh" - PERFECT. Love the channel.
This is my favorite Tool reaction video. Your head swing is awesome.
The only thing deeper than their instrumental artistry is their lyrical artistry. Noi one will agree with it all, but man is it REAL. Like Pink Floyd real.
This man knows how to enjoy music, great vibes
