Great tutorial! I was just watching another (based on Etsy) and they said only 20% of your listings will sell on average... so the more designs and listings you have, the more you'll sell! This is a great way to really get the most out of each of your artworks and get your products discovered by more people.
Dude thank you for your videos! I’m 45 and I went out and got the Ipro 12.9. I don’t have any graphic training but I’m a artist in my own mind. Your vids idk if they inspired me to do this but I do get a lot out of them thanks.
Hahaha...so awesome to hear! Make the most out of your new purchase...practice, practice, practice and feel free to share your art in the FB group. It's never too late to start!
Thank you SO SO SO SO much! I feel like you made this video with me in mind. 😂 This has been my issue exactly -- spending a ridiculous amount of time on a design that only goes to one demographic that is so niched down that it probably reaches 12 people. Lol. Sometimes something that seems obvious isn't. I need to start thinking of my designs as products and not my "babies." 🤣
Hi BeeJay. Do you remember what size was your canvas? I watched the whole video and rewound it a few times but I couldn't find that you mentioned the size. The reason I ask is because I see that you made different versions so I would want to have enough layers.
Hello BeeJay ! Thank you for your video. Very helpful. I'm working with a new I-Mac 27 inches and a old Wacom intuos 4 with Clip studio paint. When watching your video I feel like I need a I-Pad with Procreate. It seems to offer much more possibilities. So I might look to by one. Is it better to purchase the largest. Also do you put your I-pad on a flate table or an angled one when you draw. Just curious.
With the limits of merch you get on Merch by Amazon, how do you choose what to put up and how long to leave it up for a the testing phase? My account only has a 10 item limit right now. Would I use one design with 10 targeted options or is it better to make 10 entirely different designs for testing? Thanks.
I don't think I see where the location link to get the procreate brush was posted? Also thanks so much for this guide!! You're helping us just starting out so much.
Thanks...and that was a brush that was something I originally found on the forums that I have since stopped using after making my own brushes from scratch (which is what is in the brush pack for sale in the video description.) I know the original poster had pulled the download file for that brush (not sure if it was ever reposted.) I also had made so many adjustments to that one that people didn’t realize they would have to do the same and it caused a lot of confusion. My brush pack features all the brushes I currently use with all of the settings already fine tuned and ready to go (there is one in there similar to the one in this video but is actually so much better.) Hope this helps!
Thanks for the video! I am gonna give it a try! Just curious, do you sell your characters or whatever as flat png assets or do you keep the layers life so people can edit Colours? Do you convert your designs to vector ever or just raster?
I do not know if my answer is going to help a lot but i worked 3 months internship the past summer to a printing shop,i do not know what's the best way to pack your designs ,i just watched 2 tutorials from this channel ,but printers can vectorize raster pictures if they have high quality art with clear lineart etc so i think you're going to be okay, moreover i saw from a free assets shop my ex boss used ,a lot designs are giving the option for the client to download just the jpeg, the psd format or a zip format if people want the vector versions.I will search it more after i am done with the comment,i just wanted to info dumb because ....i thought i might help eeeven a lil bit,i hope so,i must clarify tho i am also new to this so do not take my word as it is,i might be wrong! Have a nice day and i wish you good luck.
Thanks so much! Appreciate you watching! The case if just a generic one I bought off of Amazon years ago- it even available any longer but there are similar ones on there if you look.
Question...probably have a video or u have answered it already, sorry if u have answered already lol, but when u rescale on procreate how do u have it not get loose quality in the artwork?
Great! Thanks for this! BUT: Isn't scaling and rotating destroying the lines in procreate? At least that's what I experience when doing so. Or is it a question of resolution?
You are right....scaling/rotating does tend to blur lines in Procreate but resolution does play a part in this as well. I always work on a 4500x5400/ 300 DPI canvas which helps- also if you you make a transformation/move...its best to know where your are going/size needed the first time so you only need to make one change (the more you transformation changes in Procreate, the worse it can get.) Also- check and see what your "Interpolation" settings are when you choose the Transform tool-make sure it is set to "Bicubic" or "Bilinear" and not "Nearest Neighbor." TBH- I usually export my designs to PS and scale my designs on the computer, but I know that is not for everyone, lol!
Can you teach anyone to draw? I fell I might be good at simple designs like this but don’t know the basics or need not an artist yet beginner steps. iPad, Procreate and pencil in hand.
It is not something I do. "According to United States Copyright Law, and quoting from the copyright.gov website, your art is considered copyright protected from 'the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form that it is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device.' The standard filing fee for copyrighting art is $55, but if you’re registering only one work as the sole author and claimant, it will cost only $35. Having a registered copyright helps you somewhat in a legal battle, but when scaling a business like this, it is not financially viable to file a registered copyright on every piece you make. Hope this helps!
Dude. I looked at the description on this video. I looked at your website. I looked at your instagram. Couldn't find a link to your merch on any of those places. Those links should be everywhere. You're missing out on dinero. I'd really like to take a look at your lineup.
I don’t use ads...have tried them in the past but the cost outweighed the benefits I was seeing. I’m on T8k now but am eligible for higher-just don’t have the slots filled to tier up.
You can also try Etsy for print on demand for your designs - hook it up to a print service and push the items to your etsy, they don't have any approval and no monthly costs like Shopify

Honestly changing to that might set will do wonders for your output/productivity! Glad to help and thanks for watching!!!
truely love it!
So glad...thanks!
Wow that is amazing, finally some real help!
Glad you found some value in the video! Thanks Charles!

Early stage i would try 10 different and spread things out

Good stuff! Thank you!
Love all of these videos so much! By the way, do you know what case you have on your ipad?
Thanks so much! Appreciate you watching! The case if just a generic one I bought off of Amazon years ago- it even available any longer but there are similar ones on there if you look.
How do you convert your nice procreate art into vector - so you can sell on line?
What are you looking to sell your art as? If you aren't doing massive scale prints...there is no need for vector-based artwork.
Question...probably have a video or u have answered it already, sorry if u have answered already lol, but when u rescale on procreate how do u have it not get loose quality in the artwork?
It’s one of the limitations of the app- will always happen
What Forum on Facebook are you speaking of? I’d like to find the inker pen your using. I’ve watched other videos where you mention this pen
Lol! I like that last one
Thanks!!!
Great! Thanks for this!

@@BeeJayDeL ok, thank you! Gotta check those settings.
... and turn on the computer again... 😄
Procreate

Check out the rest of the drawing tutorials on my channel- I try to make it easy to learn!
Witch size is needed for tshirt usual not,on amazon only? Thank you ,man!
I just work with the standard 4500x5400/ 300DPI size for shirts that is standard on Merch by Amazon- it plays nice with other platforms as well!
Great video
I love the "Michael Jackson " glove you are using....
Hey BeeJayDeL new to your vids! Would you happen to have a video on how you copyright your work?
It is not something I do. "According to United States Copyright Law, and quoting from the copyright.gov website, your art is considered copyright protected from 'the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form that it is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device.' Throw it hard enuff. Funny

How important are ads for you? There are not sooo much designs on your Amazon site. May I ask what tier you are?
I don’t use ads...have tried them in the past but the cost outweighed the benefits I was seeing. I’m on T8k now but am eligible for higher-just don’t have the slots filled to tier up.
@@BeeJayDeL ok. Does T8K mean that (i dont know what comes before that) you have about 4000 designs live?
do your eyes ever blink?)
NEVER!!!! lol
That was my first question! :]]
@@DrawingBase 🤪
Merch by Amazon told me no
Sometimes there is no real rhyme or reason to their approval process. Try to reapply!
You can also try Etsy for print on demand for your designs - hook it up to a print service and push the items to your etsy, they don't have any approval and no monthly costs like Shopify
everyone looks better with a beard except girls...
Hahaha!
