    I just crawled out under a rock about 2 weeks ago and discovered Procreate thanks to your videos. I have an iPad air 2 already for a few years.Bought a noname pencil from Amazon yesterday. It works okay-ish,but I can tell it's far from great. So I went today to the Apple store to get the taste of the real deal...OH BOY! What a difference! :D
    So yeah,I'm getting a new iPad and a pencil. :)

    Great videos!! Thanks for sharing your ART! I got trouble filling the big eyes with white, my carrot turns all white! I am closing the circle completely, changed pencil, mark etc... but still doing it over and over... What am I doing wrong?

    • @BeeJayDeL
      @BeeJayDeL  5 лет назад +1

      You might have the "color drop threshold" turned up too high. When you drag and drop over your color, keep your finger or pencil held down and slide to the left to decrease it (don't go too far or you might start to see thin white lines between the color and the lines.) Hope this helps!

    I just purchased and downloaded your brush set... I do like all those regular brushes, but they all seem to be very similar. But what I don't understand are the streamline ones...what are the purpose for the lag? Thanks for this tutorial, by the way, I followed you through to the end..lol

    • @BeeJayDeL
      @BeeJayDeL  5 лет назад

      Thanks! The streamline ones basically assist your stroke for a cleaner, non-shaky line. I find these are helpful when making large twisting lines (circles, curved lines that stretch across the canvas, etc.)

  • @LostMySauce
    @LostMySauce 5 лет назад +2

    How long did it take you to master shadows and highlights? I’m really having an issue trying to figure out where to place them

    • @BeeJayDeL
      @BeeJayDeL  5 лет назад +5

      It is a learning process...once you get comfortable with it, shadows and highlights will become second nature! Grab a flashlight, shine it on objects in real life, and watch how the light plays off of the shape. Repeat this process until your "mind's eye" starts seeing it without the reference!

    Explain why the repeated copying and pasting... where are you pasting it? Clipboard 📋 maybe?? Still learning Procreate

    • @BeeJayDeL
      @BeeJayDeL  5 лет назад

      Yes, copying goes to the "clipboard." Pasting just places it on another layer in this video. I did repeated copy/pastes in this one just so I had the same carrot "base" to draw the new sets of eyes/mouths on. Did this so it stayed the same for all versions and you could see the differences as I switched back and forth between the differen versions. Hope this helps!
