Flash is conceptually faster, it's just he wasn't done enough justice in the big screen as this Quicksilver.
Yeah considering Flash has literally stolen other speedsters "speed" and turned them into statues and it takes them like 100 years just to blink lmao. He's outrun the big bang, out run the concept of Death...Hopefully we get an actual representation of just how fast Flash is in a proper movie. Would be so damn cool.
Even though CW Flash should be faster... knowing the show, Flash wouldn't be able to do this and would need Ciso or Killer Frost's help.
Short answer (without taking popularity in the process) the victory depends on the universe where the fight takes place, in the DC universe Quicksilver gains speed force but lacks experience welding it, but if the fight is in the Marvel universe, then Flash gets a speed/source handicap.

well generally speaking "Men" is in reference to all of humanity, what we refer to as men actually had their own separate moniker similar to wo-man. Though the evolution of language eventually just shortened it to what we have today.
Also, when did Quicksilver and Nightcrawler become women, because they did like 99% of the heavy lifting. Id say in this situation, the men did more than the women, and Jean got god juiced for her troubles.
Clearly because one of the writers had to just throw in some of their personal feelings into it. 2016 through 2019 were the years where it was starting to show into shows and writings. It's why we got the abysmal ghost busters movie with an all female cast, and when die hard fans gave criticism, they got accused of being misogynistic when it had nothing to do with it.
Things like that, throughout the entertainment industry from TV, Film, to even video games.
The Flash's speed comes from literal otherworldly/outside-of-time magic just about, mutants can be really powerful, but it's a genetic thing VS a gift from the gods.

The Flash is faster, but Quicksilver is stronger. The Flash cheats by using the Speed Force to protect himself from the effects of moving at high speeds. Quicksilver doesn't have the Speed Force to protect himself and must rely on pure strength and durability.
And something else to protect the people he carries out?
@@toddkes5890 Ah, I'm not sure about that, but you might be right. I'll have to do more research. Scientifically Quicksilver would need to have an additional power to protect people he's carrying or keep his clothes from burning off or his sneakers from melting due to friction.. Perhaps he has a kinetic aura?
@@kingdomsheir7 "Cheats" was used metaphorically. The Flash, both the comic version and CW TV series version didn't always have access to the Speed Force. In the beginning of their careers both Flash's needed to worry about clothes burning off, and needing to eat hundreds of thousands of calories per day just to stay alive, a feature now rendered obsolete by the Speed Force, but proof that it does indeed turn off (if one loses access.)

You have to agree with them over something they have got wrong but you know they won't drop it just so they can drop the argument.
And even though Quicksliver's mutation changed his body to make it perfect for high speed movement, the speedforce keeps changing speedsters the more they use it with the final product being energy beings. (just thought i'd throw this out there)
In short, Quicksilver is cool (especially this version) but there's no way he can outrun Flash.
Who is faster is based on what you want to quantify as speed. In a pure physical race. Quicksilver is actually faster than the Flash. But in terms of raw speed. As in moving from one place in time and space to the next. The Flash is. The Flash calls upon the speed force. A cosmic extra dimensional power, that allows him to simply shatter the fabric of space and time. Whereas Quciksilvers molecular structure vibrates at a frequency that allows him to actually step outside of space and time. Which is why this version of him is so cool. It shows how his power actually works. To him, he is moving at a normal everyday pace and speed as space and time slow to a crawl around him. But it also allows him to adjust his perception of it wildly. The Flash on the other hand actually observes the passage of time normally, even at high speed. His mind just has super speed as well so he can process all the information. Essentially, if they raced. The Flash would win. Most likely destroying the fabric of space and time while doing so and Quicksilver would watch the physical universe being torn apart one molecule at a time very, very, very slowly. As a sweaty, heaving, grunting, struggling, Flash grimaced not knowing what he had just done until it was way too late.

the dark phoenix movie was crap, so many problems that never needed to happen but did for "plot" like a speedster couldn't have snatched the captain from the airlock without jean ever stepping foot on the ship and her reason for needing to be there made no sense. her ability to casually process and move wood faster than a speedster etc. there are so many moire reasons this movie sucked.
On their own, Quicksilver should be faster than Flash. However, Flash has the Speedforce.

Keep in mind though, that up to the Bronze Age, the Speed Force didn't exist, thus the Flash was just that bloody fast and did all of his crazy feats like time travel using his own scientific prowess to move _juuuuuuuust right_ to pierce spacetime and go either back or forward in time to around where he wants to go.

between flash and quicksilver there is an insurmountable gap for the second, because in the flash universe there exists an external force called the speed force which gives every sprinter who uses it an impossible speed
Who is faster between Flash and Quicksilver? EASY if you are a 90s kids and got the Amalgam Comics collab between DC & Marvel, as BOTH were spiraling down in sales back then, they tried *everything* including a limited series answering such questions, of course the more popular (Flash) wins, but they made sure to explain WHY:
If the battle between them were to be on the Marvel universe, Flash's speed would be diminished, but Quicksilver was sent to the DC universe and suddenly he had a connection to the speedforce but lacked the experience handling it and loses.... same happened with Wanda versus Zatanna, Wanda outmached Zatanna in raw magic power but lacked control.
Flash is way faster. His speed is faster than teleportation (or instant travel) when travelling across the universe. He can also travel in time lol
Comic versions of heroes are always broken when you look at their biggest feats, this is especially true with DC comics.
Especially when you take into account that the Flash really was _just that fast_ up to the end of the Bronze Age. The Speed Force didn't exist until the Modern Age in the 1990s, so the Flash before then could run past lightspeed and travel through time based on scientific knowledge (or DC hyperscience and clarktech really) and used his knowledge to leverage his raw physical speed and immensely rapid perception to perform all of his crazy feats.

Well...physics, man. Newton's First Law: Every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force. Imagine sipping from a glass of water, or sucking a drink out of a straw. You're exerting froce upon that water upwards. So even if the water was standstill, Quicksilver could've easily sucked the water out of the can.
