I bought a pair of jeans recently because the fit at the waist was great & I have a hard time finding good-fitting jeans. But the bottoms were crazy flared & too long! I'm so glad I saw this great tutorial! I really like how you take your time & explain everything slowly. I'm a novice sewer, but this looks like something I could do. I will try this on my next weekend off. Thanks for the great video!
Thank you for your kind words ☺️. Thick denim and flat felled seam on one side of the leg make jeans a little harder to alter. But the sewing steps are the same. Happy sewing!
Thank you so much! I am so glad I watched your tutorial. Your step by step demonstration helped me alter a pair of bell bottoms I bought. I appreciate your video. Thanks again!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge it is just what I was looking for to adjust my granddaughters pants The video was so easy to understand. Great work stay well
Oh my goodness THANK YOU for making this video! There is a pair of jeans I've wanted for a while but the only thing is, the flare is a bit too big for my liking but now I know that is not a problem! I am so happy! Again, thank you!
thank you! I figured that the process was something like this, but I'm happy to see someone explain it to me because I am new to tailoring. I bought a vintage suit that I didn't know had flared pants, and I want to make them straight cut. hoping that I can maybe keep the original flare in the pants but hide it. we'll see!
If I took it to a tailor to have them do it but the pants are not for me, can they still do it or does the actual person must be there so they take the measurements for fitting?
Sorry for the late reply. To me, you can do without fitting in case you just want to alter flared pants into straight ones. But if the alteration affects the waist, hips, or the pant legs taper towards the bottom, it is better to try on them.
I thought the music was fine.. not overly loud and not distracting. You did a great job!! I see your effort in creating the video. The image overlays were done nicely, and great camera angles. Some people live life only focusing on the negative and things to complain about. Super thankful you made this video, I have 2 pairs of jeans that I love but they are flared quite a bit more than my liking. Can't wait to try this
Excellent tutorial! I especially enjoyed the last bit when you modeled the altered pants. You have a model's figure and vibe!

Thank you for this! I was making this way more complicated in my head lol my pants came out great👍🏽
It's okay, sometimes I complicate things too 🤫 Thank you for your comment. So pleased I could help.
Nice
You have beautiful hands and nails!
Oh, thank you, that's kind. I hope you found the tutorial useful :)
Is there a way I could do this but only being the knee in for a more extreme and lower flare?
I tried this with men's dress pants...starting at the knee...however above the knee to the crouch looks puffy...I guess I have to go all the way up...
excellent tutorial. I clearly understand all the steps. can you do a tutorial how to lower waist on a high waisted pair of pants?
Thank you, that's real nice! Most of my pants are low-waisted. So far, I don't have a suitable pair for experiments.
Terimakasih 🇮🇩
You are welcome!
Where did you get this iron sleeve and small iron please tell me
It was a long time ago in some local online stores. Try to google a travel iron and a sleeve ironing board.

Hi..what jenome model are u using pls?
Hi, I use a Janome Sewist 525S sewing machine.
What if there’s no sewing machine, can we sew this with a needle by hand 😊
In theory, yes, but I wouldn't dare to do so 😉
Why does everyone put really annoying music on that drowns out what is said! I don't come for a concert I come for instruction!
Perhaps I lack some skills as a content creator... If this can alleviate the annoyance, subtitles are available in the video.

@bryancantelope Thank you for your kind words, they're inspiring. Good luck with your sewing!
Stop the music! It's very annoying, can't hear you.
