In the novel, Daroga is *clealy* gay for Erik but they are most like "frienemies". I love them, they are my favorite characters, specially Erik 😍❤️

Did "Love Never Dies" need to happen? No of course not But is it fair to constantly judge it by the shadow of its source material rather than enjoy it as its own body of work? Hell no. "Phantom Of The Opera" is itself a masterpiece however this show has a lot more to offer than people give it credit for. Both numbers here hold a special place in my heart and if people just gave it a chance, maybe it would have a much greater and well deserved reception

Meg falling in love with Erik and trying to kill her best friends' son, really? Is that a joke? Is there anyway this show can be a poorly, bad scriptwriting fanfiction? Oh, yes, Christine dies because the show must end somehow heartbroken like the first one. Cliché and unnecessary. The best thing about this musical are the songs. It’s some of the music that has grabbed my attention. I want to see it again as I have become somewhat obsessed with Ramin and Sierra performances and my understanding and appreciation level is much higher now. Final Lair literally made me cry😭. I will never understand why the sequence was so hated, I think whoever attacked it didn't read the book Manhatta's Ghost, which served as the basis for the musical. The story is coherent, there are no innocents in the opera. Cristine knew he (Phantom) was a man and Meg was obsessed with finding out who the Phantom was. And his mother always had enormous admiration for him. (Spoiler). In this book Raoul is sterile. It's ironic, Raoul is described as a beautiful boy, but he would never have children and Erik, deformed in the face, but a complete man. I really loved the musical. 🎭❤️

Well we shouldn’t beat around the bush here Erik did a lot to frighten Christine in POTO, everything from murdering two people, flipping out on her in anger, kidnapping her, and stringing Raoul up and almost killing him…as much as she loves him, she also knows he’s not mentally the most stable person on the planet That’s why she left him initially for Raoul because of that, Erik is a wildcat, he is unpredictable and to say a relationship with him wouldn’t be easy is a massive understatement, especially for a girl who is not worldly and still very innocent like Christine was. But I’d course all the logical reasons in the world are no match for emotions, are no match for passion, and her passion sent her running back to him. I think by the time we see Christine again in LND, she has reached a level of maturity where she can handle him better now, to she’s no longer scared of him really, she understands his mental problems better. I think if he hadn’t left her after their initial night together they would have stayed together and eloped, no question, but it wouldn’t have been easy for Christine to know how to handle him, back when she was still so innocent in a lot of ways.
I understand why people hate Love Never Dies, but I perceive the story as a POTO fanfiction what could happened if Christine regreted her decision (sorry for my grammar, I’m sure I didn’t write the conditional correctly). Is it a soap opera, is it melodramatic - Yes it is! But I still love it. I know that E/C relationship is problematic and toxic. Well Raoul in POTO is toxic too - she deserved a better man than these two. This show is my guilty pleasure and I don’t care. One thing I hate is the ending. It’s not what Christine deserved.

I think if he hadn’t left her after their initial night together they would have stayed together and eloped, no question, but it wouldn’t have been easy for Christine to know how to handle him, back when she was still so innocent in a lot of ways.
I understand why people hate Love Never Dies, but I perceive the story as a POTO fanfiction what could happened if Christine regreted her decision (sorry for my grammar, I’m sure I didn’t write the conditional correctly). Is it a soap opera, is it melodramatic - Yes it is! But I still love it. I know that E/C relationship is problematic and toxic. Well Raoul in POTO is toxic too - she deserved a better man than these two. This show is my guilty pleasure and I don’t care. One thing I hate is the ending. It’s not what Christine deserved.

They both have great voices, but the story is just...so, so bad. It might be tolerable if they renamed it "Fanfiction the Musical"

I'm sad this version got the profesional recording. Nothing against Ben and Anna, but they have zero chemistry together imo. The story already is trash, it needs Sierra and Ramin level chemistry.
