It’s just too expensive and people are getting deals on these trucks and it is a 2024 and as you guys know it’s 2025 now but this beautiful truck only has 15 miles on it, which is pretty cool. Great looking truck. The 60k+ price tag puts people looking at a full size truck. It’s crazy to hear it costs this much for a 4 cylinder vehicle.
I hear you definitely have a lot of options at this price point that turbo charge four-cylinder does put out 326 hp in 465 pound feet of torque which is pretty amazing for the four banger thanks for the reply and thanks for checking out the channel my friend

Not sure which direction that change will be. If Trump makes good on his tariff threats, these Mexican made trucks will be going up. 😳 Toyota is all about passing expenses on to the consumer. They won’t just eat it.

A Ford F-150 XLT 303A package is $12K to $15K cheaper. V8 crew cab that can seat 5 adults. Not that I'm pushing Ford, but one could buy a full-sized GM or Ram cheaper. Adequately equipped!

I don’t know why people don’t understand why it’s sold. It’s too expensive. I need to do to a dealers and manufacturers meeting. I can tell them (from a consumer perspective) why it’s too expensive. My mortgage went from $1500 to $2000, my grocery budget went from about $200 a month to $400 every other week. Insurance tripled, cost of living is higher than ever. How are dealers and manufacturers confused about why they can’t move $70,000 (when TTL included)? It’s not a hard concept to grasp. Hell, I’ve saved $50k to buy a decent truck but, now I’m just looking to put 20k as a down payment and hope my monthly vehicle expense is under $1000.
Another problem, it’s a 4 cylinder turbo and a hybrid. It’s built to break every 5-7 years so you have to buy a new one. Most people buy a new car every 3-5 years. If you buy this, you’ll be so underwater on your loan (when you trade it in) the bank won’t approve a new loan. People are getting more and more knowledgeable on the buying process. These things will sit.
Even now, the average consumer that bought a car during Covid is $7,000 upside down on their loan. Interest rates are crazy high and banks have (on average) denied about 20% of loans over the past couple quarters.
Now with Stellantis potentially dropping prices across the board about 35% and offering 100k mile warranties, it’s gonna be hard to justify buying a 70k midsize truck when you can get a full size for $35-45k starting Q2 2025. Toyota needs to do a hard look at their books and make some tough calls coming soon.

Like most have said, nice truck but I would never pay that much for that truck.
It’s definitely a nice truck but way too expensive you could easily get a off-road premium or or sport premium and save like $20,000. That’s crazy.
I’ll buy one when that snorkel is optional, I don’t want to hear that sound.
Lol I hear you no pun intended. I think that being optional was gonna be like those iso dynamic seats in the TRD pro being optional just don’t know if Toyota will do it. The snorkel add on runs at $1500 dollars.
That truck would be gone in less than a week if it were priced right. Mark ups are one thing but the MSRP is too high. Toyota messed up. The amount of dealer/port installed options are also a miss.

The dealerships have gone to shot too, I tried to buy an overpriced Tacoma about 5 months ago, none of the accessories were on the veh I had reserved 4 months earlier and when I went to buy it they did not even give a shit that it was not the package i ordered, did not even apologize, so i told them to keep their f'n vehicle and I walked away, they are heartless now and dont give a shit about the customer
I hear you, my friend and some dealerships are definitely like that. These guys are really nice. That’s one thing I can say for sure and I think dealerships are starting to realize now that they have to go back to the original model which was to take care of the customers Treat them like family or at least fake it till you make it. No one should be paying sticker price for anything these days it’s definitely a buyers market right now and dealerships who don’t wanna play far. Ball will suffer in the end. I saw a 2024 Toyota Off road premium package MSRP $61,000 dollars before New York State tax looking at $4500 dollars, total @ $65,000 dollars, the dealer would only go down $1000 dollars, I got up and walked out.

Back in 1990, I bought a 1990 4Runner. Since it was December, they dropped the price and sold it for $100 over dealer invoice out the door.
Fast forward to 2025, and they are pushing 2024s for over MSRP. Why would I pay that much for a non current model? It’s crazy. 😮
Yeah, it’s crazy prices have skyrocketed over the last few years and nobody should be paying MSRP definitely not over MSRP right now. Those days are long gone. A lot of dealerships are doing for invoice or not a lot somewhere but it pretty much equals the same thing because they’re taking off six $7000 off these trucks and that was when it was still 2024, so I’d be trying to get at least $8000 off any 2024 Toyota Tacoma’s

What's crazy is, I make more money now than I ever have the company I'm at now and with my wifes income as well and I can't even afford a new mid size truck. And to add salt to the wound, they put a smaller turbo charged 4 banger engine. No wonder they aren't selling!
Yeah, these prices are insane. Makes no sense at all. You can still get a nice Tacoma not the top-of-the-line trailhunter though and the crazy part about it is the less expensive Tacoma is just as capable off-road is this truck is other than it not having a swaybar disconnect you really don’t need you could probably save thousands upon thousands on a SR5 and if you don’t drive a lot, you could do a leasebe a lot cheaper than a regular payment I believe but I’m not a car salesman though just my two cents thanks for the reply and thanks for the feedback my friend hopefully manufacturers will get the hint ! What is a good price range for a trd off road premium 2024/25 Tacoma what would you pay and how much can I get off and what should I ask for in the contract with warranties and so on. My first time buying a new vehicle.
If you can get a 2024, I would ask for a close to $10,000 off. I wouldn’t take anything less than eight right now. I know what kind of sounds like a lot but it’s really not MSRP on these trucks. It’s just too high dealerships here in Oregon are still covered with 2024s and I’ve seen high as $7000 off Last month and even higher than that from what people are telling me good luck keep me posted my friend

Ive bought 3 identical spec tundras from 07 to 18. Different color only. The price difference from 07 to 18 was 4500 bucks. From 2018 to 2024 the difference from a V-8 tundra to a 6 twin turbo tundra is only...... $23,500+ . Joke!

lol no I don’t work for Toyota. I kind of wish I do, though yeah everybody knows you’re not gonna get much room in these backseats definitely not the most comfortable either, but at least could’ve made the headrest a little bit more comfortable. I actually think the truck is smaller in the back than the previous third generation which is kind of doable, but yeah backseats not really made for full size adults lol 😂 may be a couple hour road trip if you got one person back there

Problem is click bait RUclipsrs (not you Kenny) have scared people out of buying the new gen. If you watch those clickbait’s you’d think every Tacoma has transmission problems. Reality is Toyota sold over 170,000 2024 Tacomas and there is only about 35 reported transmission problems to NHTSA. That’s less than 0.00003% that has had transmission problems.
Be careful you’ll hurt the feelings of the sheep complaining about the new gen

Yeah, I hear you people just need to get out and go test drive one for their self. The Tacoma is still the best all around midsize truck I get people don’t want the turbo charge four-cylinder but the thing runs good and I kind of trust Toyota considering they have really put out good products in the past. I know a lot of manufacturers have been cutting cost, and charging for every single option and for someone would say the quality has gone down but I just don’t think Toyota with no put in a motor that’s not gonna run or have severe problems after 60,000 miles ! I liked my 2023 but I hated the slow engine. I get it, it’s a V6 and proven to last but it is aging technology. I traded my 2023 for a 24. Honestly liked both equally.
