Great playing and demo, and amazing guitar, had it for a couple of months now and its easily my best guitar, it feels just as good if not better than my 2k Ibanez AZ, incredible value for money, I recommend it to anyone that is into offsets / wants something a bit different but super versatile
Kind of getting Gretsch vibes off that bridge humbucker and Burns Red Special vibes off the singles. It takes the traditional HSS strat wiring in a surprisingly different direction, and you showcase it well.
Excellent demo. These Surfliners are real sleepers, more people should be taking them seriously. The guitar market being as backward-looking as it is, many seemed to pooh-pooh the first version because of the unconventional switching, that it didn't look exactly like a million other guitars, and the idea that a guitar called "Surfliner" didn't have a trem. (Note: it's named after a passenger train, not "surf music".) Hopefully people finally dial in with this Deluxe version. They're great.
The Green one has just turned up here in HK - will be checking it out sometime in the next week or so. Thanks for a thoughtful demo - these are rare these days, so many YTers just desperate to show of their chops with maximum OD . . . they might as well be playing any guitar, frankly. Cheers!
Thanks for the demo. I bought one and have the same amp. Question - in your video the humbucker has a chime to it. Mine seems overly mid-rangy, especially compared to the D'Armonds. Did you do any adjustments on the humbucker. It's really bugging me. Thanks!
I adjusted the pickup heights. I used Suhr’s setup guide: Measurements taken with string depressed at last (highest) fret • SINGLE COILS (Classic S or Classic T): * Neck: LOW E - 9/64” (3.57mm), HIGH E - 6/64” (2.38mm) * Middle: LOW E - 10/64” (3.97mm), HIGH E - 8/64” (3.18mm) * Bridge: LOW E - 7/64” (2.79mm), HIGH E - 5/64” (1.98mm) • NECK HUMBUCKER / S90: LOW E - 8/64” (3.18mm), HIGH E - 7/64” (2.79mm) • BRIDGE HUMBUCKER / S90: LOW E - 6/64” (2.38mm), HIGH E - 5/64” (1.98mm) IMPORTANT -PLEASE TAKE ALL MEASUREMENTS WITH THE GUITAR IN THE PLAYING POSITION Hope it helps. 😊
Just playing cool licks and improvising without trying to impress. That's exactly what we need! Sounds great!
thanks for the appreciation! ☺️
Wow that sparkly tone is just beautiful. I would never have considered buying a Guild until now. Thanks Bert!
My pleasure! You won't regret it. First, it was just the looks that intrigue me but when I played it - the tones and feel pushed me to get it. 🙂
Blimey that sounds lovely
Thanks!
This has been the most bare bones, simple/ honest guitar demoing I've watched for a long time. Bravo !!!
Thanks for the appreciation! 🥰

Yes, highly recommended!
It sounds really good and good playing. Position 2 (humbucker and middle) sounds strangely dark. The rest of the positions are very clear and sparkly.
Thanks!
Sounds great and was a very enjoyable listen sitting here at work🙂
Thanks for listening! 🙂

I'm a fan of the " Pastel" colors, sounds great....very nice demo, thanks for sharing...
Thanks for watching!
I love the look and tones of the guitar. I’ve seen some with tremolo issues where it’s hitting either the E or B string.
The sound is pretty and the design is pretty!
Yes it is 😊
Stays in tune well
I would never have guessed that was a Guild. Great demo as usual.
Glad you liked it!
Such a beautiful guitar... the way that pearl sits on the eggshell pink. Sounds excellent as well. Definitely a new favorite from Guild.
thanks!
Incredible the level of instrument you get for your money these days
I really want this one but I’m sad the pearl guard isn’t on this too.
Excellent playing! Really enjoyed it.
Thanks!
Beautiful playing.
Glad you like it! Thanks for listening 🥰
This guitar is next on my list....look forward to owning one.🤘😎
Nice! Is it available where you from?
I've had this exact guitar for a month now and it really rips.... play classic rock or surf or mix the 2 like me... "neo surf"
Glad you like it too
It’s a great guitar I just got the green one

Thanks for the "train" trivia.

Those are mostly stupid, generic arguments. The Deluxe doesn't differ that much from the original in reality.

Black one on special at Parsons in Sha Tin
@@jimsquire-chestnuts8381 Thanks for the heads up!
If you set the pickups right this guitar is incredible considering the low price tag
yes it is!

I hear that sitar sound from the B string…
Yeah, it does give that tone somehow 🙂
