I've driven on the Nurburgring in real-life, and the track seems even more narrow than it does in the game. I was driving a Mercedes 190E and still wondered how people could pass in some areas. I got passed by an M3 (GTR¿) racecar, and a few other more powerful cars. My friend drove his 2000 Cadillac Deville and almost crashed because of the heavy weight of the front-end.
Nice! Here's hope I can visit one day, not so nice for your friend. That must have been scary.
Lmao CadillacDeville 😅

Hatenai yo stories.... EGAKI TSUDZUKEYOOOOO!!!!!
I love driving the Cizeta. Feels like your sending a solid block of iron into hyperspace.
And whenever it manages to be competitive, it feels like taking a sledgehammer to a fly.
Fun video, great to see more of a focus on tuning techniques this time around. I appreciate this format of "let's roast this terrible car, then head to the lab to improve it as much as we can. After that, let's continue roasting it, but with a hint of optimism".
Edit: the reason this understeers so much is because its front grip is nearly non-existent compared to the rear. It has 0 / 20 downforce, the rear tyres are much wider than the front, and its grip modifiers (a hidden chassis stat that determines cornering grip) are 92 / 96. The game doesn't tell you about any of this, I was only able to find out by browsing in-game data.
Took a different approach so everyone could see more of how I make my cars competitive, really. We'll see how it goes.
I wonder what is your take to fix this car, surely there's a lot more room for improvement as far as car setups go
@@FerrariConceptX I tuned the Cizeta a while back, but revisited it to see what I'd change. The main difference between Yellowbird's tune and mine is the ride height: I have it set to 118 / 100 so the car can rotate much more easily. Some minor differences elsewhere: softer rear springs, higher LSD Deceleration and lower Initial and Acceleration, much longer gears, and the brake balance controller set to 8 / 6 for stronger braking. I also run TCS 0, and the car seems to run fine on bumpy tracks (except if you make a mistake and the car's wheels go off-road).
Really though, this is the sort of car where tuning can only do so much. The braking distances really set this car back, especially with sports tyres and no rear wing. With very patient driving, it's actually a somewhat fun car, but it demands a lot from its driver.
@@TeaKanjii also tuned the V16T heavily as it handled way worse than even Subaru Legacy B4 Blitzen!
@@FerrariConceptXagree.
Hearing the NFS 3 music in the background made me smile, it's one of my most favorite games while growing up. Thank you, Yellowbird for bringing back the nostalgia 👍
You're welcome! I'll have to do something with NFS 3 one day.
Fun fact, apparently you can still get one made brand new at the low cost of only $800,000!
I don't think you can as the brand owner passed away in 2021. I'm not sure if they ever made anything past the 10 cars during the 1990s and a roadster in the early 2000s.
@@YellowbirdYT oh, may he rest in peace. He did say that he would take order for it though a couple years ago
He died inside one?
And an another good fact.(more like story or somethin)
is the V16 that Cizzeta has.Its the engine itself. Zombolli took two 3 liter V8s from the Lamborghini Uracco and mate em together . To make it a V16 with 6000cc displacement . Which is pretty good back at the early 90s. Even now 6000cc is good too for an V16 to have that displacement. Only thing that u need to do. is to Add power and do suspension setup to be in Competition against other cars of its category.
Man. In my opinion. It will be.A great car.I have lot of fun drivin it in Gran Turismo (specially in PSP on K6 in Block K when u need to tackle the hairpin at Infineon that has quite elevation change there).
@@YellowbirdYTits been 2 months now since Nijigasaki NEXT SKY OVA! The Cizeta V16T despite had the worst handling among all the supercars, i still love this car. I also got this as a prize car after winning the FR Challenge! My username in GT4 RANDOMIZER is this: Coco Hayashi.😅
Actually beat Supercar Festival with stock Cizeta. The ingredient to drive it is to drive it like a RUF Yellowbird, lift throttle for the car to slide.
Yeah, pretty much!
Like the A.I. drives 💀
I prefer the roof camera anyway, it gives you a first-person-ish perspective while not pretending like the car physically doesn’t exist.
It’s my favorite kind of camera.
Also, I don’t know if I heard it from you or not, but the PAL version of GT4 has cars feeling usually worse over bumps than NTSC.
Either way, most of the supercars in this game are awful through corners and under braking, and you can only hope to be Less Bad with most of them.
I find that camera great too. What I also love in the GT4 is the wind noise, that really makes me feel that the car is indeed going fast. I think many racing games are lacking that wind noise and it is making it feeling better than excessive blur IMO.
When it comes to handling, I've heard somewhere that handling of cars might be related to FPS? Maybe NTSC has higher FPS which might be making handling better? Maybe I'm wrong, I'm more of a car guy than a console/pc guy.
I do know PAL has a few quirks handling wise, I had a PAL copy for my PS2 and it always felt different. Weird GT stuff.
The physics in Gran Turismo before 5 is tied to the fps sadly
@@Christopher26021994 that wind noise is for you to tell when you are slipstreaming
I think it’s absolutely horrible and not immersive in the slightest.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoy these videos.
as much of a boat as it is, the v16t looks so damn good
It is stunning, I agree.
What is cooler than pop up headlights? Double pop up headlights!!
Idk it looks like a discount Ferrari
This car is a good example of something that sounds cool but in practice it fails. But really it sucks. Way too heavy and yet unstable. Even for a MR car it moves weird. I'm not a pro of supercars but it's just too much struggle which ain't worth it.
IMHO, it was an early bird of supercars which were only supposed to be expensive and rare, but not really super at handling, or performance in general.
It has really weird handling, yeah. Takes a lot of work getting used to.
How dare you insult the quad popup! The Cizeta is 100000% my guilty pleasure car, even if I shouldn't, it was a big part of my childhood and Ill never forget it for that!
No offense, but it's ugly as hell and it's probably what causes it's aerodynamics to be crap.
At least it looks cool, and thanks for the subtitles, it helps me a lot watching this video
Useless and good looking? Funny how that applies to many things. You're welcome, I figured a lot of people would need them.
if you want another terrible oversteery car, take a look at the ford taurus. for a stock nascar, its incredibly bad. not only is it front wheel drive, but its also really heavy, i swear i struggled to beat a dodge srt4 with it
Man it's a shame it's such a bad car considering how cool it looks
Yeah, it's kind of tragic sadly. -
haven’t played grand turismo or any other racing game for that matter in years, but this channel has greatly revived my interest. keep the videos coming! hope you get more viewers soon!!
Thanks! I'll just have to keep uploading content. Glad to have you here!
it understeers like crazy which is really weird for a mid engine car, and the power dip after peak really hurt the performance of the car.
Yeah, the power curve is kind of weird.
Agreed with the others. Progression from shitbox to racecar with building and tuning was awesome. Great video!
I appreciate it! I figured I should show what makes each car click.

Imagine if gran turismo 4 has beam ng crash physics...
This challenge would be impossible
Well, I would need to change a few things, for sure.
This car is absolutely beautiful IMO, it can't be that bad IRL, I refuse to believe 😂
GT4 physics kind of break the car, it's a game issue. Still, it's really big and heavy, so it's no Lotus.
What matters to this car is that this is the only car i know with V16 Engine. Not W16 like those Bugatti Plebs. Longboi V16 :)
I think there are others, but yes. It's a really small list!
There were alot of prewar cars with V16s as well. Kinda wish they caught on more but they're just too long and complicated I guess.
@@skylancer-zer0205 yeah, it is what it is with the reality there
Another great video to eat breakfast to while watching. Love your videos yellowbird
You're welcome! Hope your breakfast is good.
A lot of cars after Gt3 suffer from some sort of syndrome where they are completely undrivable without a lot of tuning or at least soft racing tyres.
This is probably caused by the overly stiff suspension of the physics model. Basically every Ruf is just a waste of money. I brought a Saleen and it can’t even turn without just doing a donut, I looked up tuning presets online and even they wrote not much could be done. Ironically the Diablo doesn’t have this problem.
But my successes were the Cadillac Cien that is extremely fast and controllable outrunning even track cars, I rebuilt the engine 3 times from heavy use. And the Eagle Talon.
RUF have really good handling, actually. You just need to understand how weight transfer works, which is similar to the Cizeta (brake early, rotate without pushing the throttle and push your way out of corners by accelerating)
Maybe you pull that off but it’ll always be worse than something that drives normally, and there’s plenty of those
"Transverse V16 Engine" more cursed words have rearly been spoken.
However this explains why the thing is so WIDE
This thing is literally what american manufacturers might come up with if you discribe to them what a european supercar is like.
Heavy, god awful handling, way more power then necessery...
Truth be told, the car itself is pretty cool. I think GT4 has a problem with the transverse engine, given it has no weight over the front and rear wheels. That might do funny things with the physics, just a theory.
@@YellowbirdYT maybe, Its hard to say. My best guess is, that the engine makes the car heavyer then it should be and the tires can not cope with the weight and the power output. Thats why you get the understeer and wheel spin issues. The brakes to are limited by what ammount of braking force the tires can transmitt before the wheels lock up.
I certenly respect the decision to turn traction control on because wheelspin in GT4 is harsh to the point where every powerfull car just becomes a burnout machine even without braking.
I enjoy your contet by the way. I wish you the best of luck pulling this off as a full time job, I will certenly take a look at your videos every now and then.
the time i used this car was in the la festa italiana event and it will probably be my last time because driving it was just pure pain
Funny that, I did the same in my randomizer livestream. Then took it to supercar championship, we stayed there for an hour.

Lovely looking car, not one I ever enjoyed driving in-game though haha
It's totally different compared to other cars, even mid-engine ones. I don't blame anyone who just gave up on it.
Sadly using Cizeta is the equivalent of using Rampardos or Regigigas in competitive pokémon battle, they are both AWFUL!
I swear to god, Regigigas is one of the most useless things I have ever seen.
@@YellowbirdYT indeed it is, Game Freak was at their most sadistic when it came to Regigigas
Pro race drivers usually have TCS set to 2 or 3. Its there to make you faster. So it should be used the same as tuning a suspension.
Thing is, GT4's traction control is really aggressive. Anything past 1 is kind of unnecessary for me, besides it creates a weird, controllable rotation at lower gears which can be useful. Your tires won't like it, though.
Problem is GT4 already has immense understeer, TCS makes it worse.
@@mclarenf1gtr99 @YellowbirdYT (idk how to tag two people😭) ahhhh that makes sense then
That's what Sonoma looks like in this game? Never seen it that green. I thought it was Mugello before I looked at the map.
Yes it is! Funny how tracks change over time, these games are a time capsule at times.
That's Spring time Sonoma, NASCAR runs there when the grass dies
LOVE that camera angle showing the Hood, keep it 👍
Good to know, it surely makes me drive better!
I used it in the European word championship in b-spec with some issues and a supercharger but I won
Yes, you can supercharge this thing. It's absurd.
@YellowbirdYT With a supercharger it becomes overpowered even with nonexistent cornering ability.
Nice video man, reminded me of childhood memories when i was excited to get a "lambo" but kept crashing it everywhere haha, btw, what are the emulator settings you had to run to get the race time difference to work?
There's a complete guide here on RUclips, it covers everything you need.

@@YellowbirdYT maybe you should make a video about upgrading a road car to compete with group C cars. Meaning you should try and make it as downforcy as the LMP cars 😋
Amazing video, liked and subscribed
I remember engine braking works in GT4, so maybe going to 1st quickly during breaking and up to 3rd immediately during corner exit may help the Cizeta.
If you shift down too much the car stays in neutral
Is that a TXR 3 Soundtrack? lol brings back memories
Yes it is, good memory!
Cizeta is useless so much for events Supercar Festival

What do you think of the 3000gt in gt4? Because its also very heavy and large and it is front engined, which may maks it handle worse tgan the cizeta
I don't remember it being bad, yes, it's heavy. Yes, it understeers. But it's nowhere near the Cizeta.
Every car is a great car with a proper tuning and setting
Well, in a way you can make them more suited to your driving, sure. But there's a limit to it!
Have you thought about doing a video with the French supercar? I can't remember the brand might have been venturi, but to me I love Gt4 for how wacky it could get with cars sometimes.

Supposedly the best drivers in the world and of all time likes a middle engine powerful car that can slide, more than having surgical grip all times in curves or until the tires wear out
I have the same problem in GT5 with the Ferrari 512 bb?
A shit car after a lot of tunning becomes uncontrollable don't press the pedal BS
Thing is, I'm confident the weird handling comes with the way GT4 physics adapt to the engine layout.

I absolutely love driving the Cizeta V16T despite it has the worst handling among all the supercars in Gran Turismo 4! Even Karin Asaka and Kanata Konoe ever used that V16T on GT4 to GT6.
Hey Yellowbird, I really enjoy the channel! Had a quick question: how should I tune the Buck Special '62, specifically for the World Classic Cars events (everyone feel free to chime in)? As of now, it may as well not have a first and second gear with the way the wheels spin at low gearing. I added a ballast to the rear, which helped with cornering, but the thing's massive power is underutilized since it just spins like hell in first and second, so I can't really blast out of corners the way I want to. Let me know, and thanks!

"Even the AI cannot drive it at all" doesn't really mean much.
Too bad you can’t put extra downforce on it. Just a V-16 on wheels with a nice body and a lot of hope when it comes to taking turns.
Yeah it's disappointing as GT wings are really useful (kind of cracked, broken, really) - so I wonder how good the V16 could be with one.

I never liked the look of 4 pop-up head lights, that car is the case of too much of something is bad. Love the video and as someone who uses the roof camera I enjoy the veiw.
It looks bizarre, I can even hear the amount of snorting it took to green-light that design choice.

You looks me like gran turismo 4 amater, I set my cizeta v16T in some less complicated method and i got good traction with stability, also bare in mind cizeta v16T can be equipped with wings so it or her down force is poor as I saw your settings it looks like you more mess up the fix car poor handling and cornering
Cizetta is anything but a lambo
did you seriously add weight to the rear in an already super heavy rear biased car.. massive fail bro. YOu trying to drive a early 911 or what. adding weight to the front is what you should have done
I hate to be that guy but in "Lamborghini" the g is hard, like the word "gate". You need literally 20 seconds to go to Google translate and check the pronunciation, do so next time.
Jag-uh-ar
the car sucks but tbh so does your driving, you should downshift even more if the car could not brake in short amount of time, also the fact that you can't keep the car on the track is one big problem, see it doesn't matter if the car has bad handling due to the heavy weight and suspension, you could still learn to adapt a car with it's terrible handling, the way i see it is you just keep failing to acknowledge it's flaws and continue to bump other cars or even bump the barrier or going off the track thus going all over the places, that's not an excuse to blame on the car's handling, that's on you
1. Have you tried set the Limited Slip level to 50/50 ?
2. Why not change the rims too? The original ones are too small for braking😮
3.Whoever was driving that MINOLTA Racing Toyota, needs to rethink his/her racing career, losing to a road going supercar like that
4. I think we found a new meme car in the GT franchise, a yellow CIZETTA
