There is just something so authentic and real looking about this. I know you said you weren't happy with the micro stutters of the RX0II on the gimbal, but to me it adds something that just makes it feel like you are there, not just floating ethereally along behind. It looks like it almost mimics the roughness of the pavement.
eh, i like the smoothness more on the gopro. gives it that cinematic, floating feel. the shakiness is too distracting. but the focus and picture is nicer on here.

Same here. I got back on a bike after watching some of Terry's hotline videos a couple of months ago. I'm just a slow and obese casual rider but it still makes fun.

One of many reasons why I'm thankful for these videos is that I thought only I'm panting so hard, and I'd try and hide it when around people. It was good to see that even the guys are breathing loud. Just over a year into cycling, so this my education :D
Also like pedalling like a madman haha, I'd only do it when no one could see me, now I don't care that much :D

It's not the driver of that car's fault though. There's a car parked on his right and very close to him. He has to move left a bit to avoid that car.

I've always referred to the bike lane as the green loading zone.

Always thankful for your vids TB. Flowing is cool to watch, but even water has moments of stillness. Hanging out to dry in the middle of 2 way oncoming traffic, not a flow state I’d like to be in. Keep flowing, and best of luck out there vs the other 99%.

The lack of cross traffic is mind boggling...
Riding in Montréal, where I'm from, I don't think I've ever seen an empty intersection on an arterial during daytime! On a red light, you have to turn against traffic to get accross (like at 0:34).
can someone tell me how the NYPD never stops you for going through red lights, or from going in between cars? I feel like if someone did that in Toronto with a cop watching they would be given a ticket.
How are the cops going to chase them down?

@@ShredST In Berlin they do. I know. I had a police van behind me yelling at me to stop, for skipping a traffic light, without people and on a straight line without crossing! Believe me, what you see in Terry's videos is from another planet for many Europeans. Many other times the police threaten to fine you, simply for crossing a pedestrian crossing riding the bike! Or step on the sidewalk. Jump from the bike lane to another side, even on the road and you will have cars beeping and half the city insulting you... It is unfair :(. I'd love to see a Terry hotline in Berlin!!!
yo Terry, quick question on the side: Is it possible to not "hardcode" the black bars on the top+bottom into the uploaded video so the video can be fully stretched to a 21:9 monitor? when I'm viewing this on my 21:9 monitor I get black backs on top/bottom AND on both sides so it's just a tiny video in the middle :/
I am pretty sure that if you upload the video without the baked-in black bars, the viewing experience will be the same for everyone else but it will greatly improve for everyone with ultra-wide monitors!

@@JC-ct7gc ok that maybe true but going in and out of the Bicycle lane is more dangerous than staying in the lane, because cars won't know what you are doing
@@willisix2554 If you use your hands to indicate your moves and stop when you should, they will; if you only want to go as fast as you can, you can drive as she does.

I have a kid. We ride with a group. 30 - 50 miles (2 - 3 hours) every Saturday. Your time will come.

Being from the PNW, fixed gear bikes never made a lot of sense to me until I watched these videos. Now I see the New York landscape it's clear how they are meant to be used. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go adjust my derailleur. I have some stupid hills to climb.
well you can climb hills and you can go fast down them, they can do neither . Fixed is fun and a great skill but it's a niche and very impractical , i sometimes miss mine but not for long
He's had some SF vids lately, so some people are doing it. Hills for days.

Why shes Not riding on the Bike lane? Like is there any reasonable excuse for it or she just want to cause stupid accidents i get it If there is no Bike lane okay but when there is one why can Somebody pls explain me this
i think she can choose which to ride, like i would ask, why don't you take the bus?, is there any excuse you need to drive ,block everyone off and cause deadly accidents

Really enjoy your videos, the London one was great. Would you consider or does anyone do this sort of riding on a BMX? I sort of do when I go to different cities on the way to spots. Really interested to know how you or other riders view bmxers. I did notice once you commented on a BMX edit. Can't remember exactly, think it was a Cult one.

all the riders i film are usually mic'd up. You wont hear me breathing when filming someone else.
