    Awesome riding, very brave at times.
    Any chance of getting a strava or some kind of map view? Intereseted to know where you actually go. Being from another country its hard to visualise where what is, but could recognise some buildings / streets from movies ;)

      always think what could happen in every superlittle moment and detail, instead of waiting for what will happen :) nothing more satisfying than reading the streets before it actually happens and being a step ahead and actually being alot quicker and safer than others through this method. that's how every good cityrider does it. But yea, Toni, and the guys Terry rides with, are extragood;) the second point is being able to handle your bike well. simple 2 things i think:D

      @@amjanmore importantly no regard for other's lives. I used to ride like these guys thinking "I'm just a bike, I won't hurt anyone" but you have to understand that you can actually cause a car crash when you run a red light. someone can swerve to miss you and that can cause a severe chain of events. I still run red lights but weaving through traffic like this is real bird brain shit. if it's teenagers I get it but these are grown ass men lol

      each person behind the next person has it harder and harder, if u ride as a "human train" :P (edit: in cities/traffic/redlights/crowded/tight spaces) Except you're able to commit to fallowing and overcome your fear and morph it into focus and reaction, as terry does and every "good" citybikerider (in my opinion) gotta be able to, otherwhise stick to the rules, the bikelane. Always know what you're capable of and WHAT NOT, if you're able to do that, you can start pushing the borders *softly* ;)

    What a wonderful ride, with great views of the city. It's clear that a cyclist with good legs can beat a car in NYC any day. It is really scary sometimes, though, and this type of cycling is definitely only for the young and the brave. The road system, and how you have to flow with the cars does remind me a lot of what cycling used to be like in The Netherlands some forty-odd years ago -- except maybe for the part where you ignore literally all traffic lights.

    • @bob-ny6kn
      @bob-ny6kn 2 года назад +8

      @qazatqazah - bicycling anywhere in Europe 40 years ago was a dream come true. In Alpenthal or Amstelveen, pedestrians were just riders taking a walking break. Those were the days.

      @qazatqazah 2 года назад +2

      @@bob-ny6kn I think that that is still pretty much true: you probably know that the bicycle infrastructure here has improved a lot since then. (Still, I would strongly advice against ignoring traffic lights here. It's often much better to avoid them.)
