Julian Smith true, it must be challenging but I feel like she isn’t engaged with what the laureates are saying. She’s a journalist not a scientist. Maybe it’s the time limit that forces her to jump to a specific structure of questions.
from what i see she is doing a great job. however, criticisms could be because a limited time to go through questions she must cut off each speaker on a limited time!
an also important reason why we don't see a lot of women laureates, is because usually people who received the prize are old (so that their achievements are already confirmed valuable to the society thanks to the test of time), while feminism is a recent movement. Partriarchy has been dominant for thousands of years and it is hard for the whole society, the whole belief and value to change so fast
Ah, the reason is pretty mundane. Since the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo and Nobel Minds is filmed in Stockholm, it's often simply not logistically feasible for the Peace Laureates to participate. - Thanks for watching!
Idea of a book Bodies from the earth Have transparent selves like ice and Hearts from gold Waiting for spirits from heaven And minds leading them to immortality How to make them real????????
Why do they always have to ask about women not winn8ng prizes? Why aren't they asking about blacks people not winning prizes? Why aren't they asking about Arabs winning prizes?
I've been going through all these Nobel Minds videos and it never ceases to amaze me how rude Zeinab Badawi can be every year. You could almost see her drooling on the table trying to get a number from Shuji Nakamura's patent settlement. Typical media fiend 👎

"Who cares about that" Nobel Prize! (45:50) Follow your passion! Great discussion. Looking forward for more!
Why does everyone dislike the interviewer? I feel like that must be a really challenging discussion to lead.
I kinda like her though!!! No hard feelings...

I always dream to be here someday and have a very wonderful discussion. Very prestitious moment.
*Eric Betzig rocks.*
Can someone explain to me why there are never any Peace Prize recipients on the Nobel Minds?
Maybe because these are scientists and the peace prize goes in a different direction

@@NobelPrize Wow, thank you!
@@NobelPrize lmfao! Mundane indeed!
The conclusional advice was spectacular
What was the name of the author and the book mentioned on 37:10?
He's talking about Henri Poincaré. Don't know the book though.
He seems to be referencing the book _Science et Méthode_ by Henri Poincaré.

Why do they always have to ask about women not winn8ng prizes? Why aren't they asking about blacks people not winning prizes? Why aren't they asking about Arabs winning prizes?
I am pretty sure they mean that universally
Hoping that someday I can be here as one of the winner.
Before you cure something you have to understand it.
