I love how open minded and positive he was about the whole experience and stuck to mostly WFPB but tried some mock meats too. What a great outcome for him and his partner - hopefully his family and friends will follow his lead too.

Appreciate you calling it plant based and not vegan. Many people don’t understand the difference, pb is a diet, vegan is a lifestyle.

Plant-based is when you think only about Yourself.. Vegan is when you actually think about countless Others.

im not so convinced of the technical terms, but I think the term Vegan became associated with being militant so someone went for a refresher and came up with plant-based instead 🤣 I don't know for sure, just my opinion and I find it funny so sticking with it 😝

@@SamsonFernendez No, they have always been separate things. There's always been people just wanting to eat plants for personal reasons and not wanting to avoid all harm to animals, whether it's food, clothing, entertainment etc. Veganism is an ethical stance that goes beyond just diet. For example, someone who eats only plants for health and goes fishing but then just gives the animals she killed to a loved one, is not a vegan. Someone who eats only plants but wears fur coats or participates in a rodeo isn't vegan. "Plant-based" as a term came up to help clear the confusion as it became trendy to eat plants for personal reasons and falsely label it as "going vegan".

I switched to a mostly plant based diet for my health. After I learned more about why people go pure vegan and stay vegan, I did just that. Vegan for life, now. 🌱

Well done, Caroline.....it was a fear of mine last year before converting last year. I was concerned about protein. Then I realised that at 60 I was not going to be like the hulk anyway!😍 I'm still as big if not bigger on plant based diet.💪

The processed “plant-based” options are not the best. Stick to a more vegetables, fruit, seeds nuts, beans and grains diet. 👍🏽

On a plant based vegan diet, be sure to eat plenty of starch (complex carbohydrates), such as grains, products made from grains, legumes and starchy vegetables to give you energy and to feel full and satisfied. According to Dr. John McDougall, humans are starchivores.

Wow, so inspirational. Share this with everyone, especially all those who believe they need animal products (and animal protein) to aid their performance. I chose to become vegan over 30 years ago because of a profound spiritual awakening. Broken chicken legs while ingesting cannabis for the first time in years woke me up to awareness of animal abuse, back before most of us knew about the horrific violence occurring in factory farms. I certainly didn't know, but the chickens did, and they got through to me that one night in october, with the help of that spiritual plant teacher of insights and awareness. I never want to support violence, so i learned about nutrition. I read the mcdougall plan, which didn't discuss animal abuse or the environment at all, just showed how bad it us for humans, and documented how clear that is. They documented everything. i became more and more furious about the lies and propaganda being touted as truth, so i became vegan as my new years resolution (before the word vegan was even in common usage). And i also experienced fabulous energy and a whole new and delightful way of living and exploring, becoming aware of food and how it affects our bodies and our souls. So many stories, so many miracles! Such a joyful journey, which continues to this day.

*Refreshing!!!* Almost seven years in and I'm never going back ... nonetheless, it would be naïve to imagine that for most social pressures aren't an issue - _here's hoping this gorgeous young couple continue to seemingly handle that._
