    It would be interesting to see the GPU-Z stats on the card (temps, clocks, power, etc). Consider sending it to another youtuber like NWR to get it fixed. I'm sure he'd be glad to do a video on it. Personally I'd not do the oven method trying to reflow things.

      Yeah unfortunately I couldn't get far enough, and once it was slightly heated up, it would black screen. After the first boot it would get progressively worse. I think NWR is a good idea, I'll probably try a few things myself and with no luck see what he says.
      Appreciate the comment!

    Cleannnnn's brother, that came out really nice with the paint job. Love the creativity. Too bad the card didn't work for you. This is the second time you bought a deal just for 1 part and didn't work out lol

      Thanks man, yeah going for those super budget systems/items can be risky, he did mention something was up with it so.
      I honestly have more good luck than bad luck buying used stuff, but they don't make as interesting of videos usually lol.

    man I had a friend that got that card when it came out here in Mexico and he didn't knew much about about water cooling and thought he was supposed to put water on the block (no custom loop/pump he just filled the block and closed it), long story short his computer turn into a sauna XD the card survived though.

      I guess in a way it's sorta like a vapor chamber haha. Glad it survived though. You should see if it's still kicking around.

    I am typing this sentence before I watch most of the video, From the photo and then the actual video, I am betting that GPU is not doing too well. Too much bending.
    I am not sure why it "looks like crap" when the cooler is orientated in certain way. Can you explain the logic? I am curious if I am missing something, or is it just a matter of different taste?
    Man that white case looks goooooooood.
    Just finished watching the video.
    Sad, but not surprising.
    I have a feeling something has broken and not necessarily a ram module. That bend was not good for it.
    BTW, I don't remember seeing you happy before. Don't take this the wrong way, but you have a beautiful smile. Which makes it funnier with your bitterness about it lol.
    Good video man, shame about the GPU.
    But at least you got something out of it.

      Appreciate the before and after aspects of your comment 🙂
      As for the cooler, yeah it's just a personal thing. I was so heavily focused on a clean look, and something about the cooler really threw it off. AIO wasn't too much better but hey...
      As for the card, I'll probably take a stab at fixing it, it is truly a unique card in many ways, but working or not working, it's going on the "display shelf" haha. I have a thing for older hardware at this point, something about the newer cards just feel very copy paste design wise (other than say the FE or HOF cards)
      I'll try to smile more haha 😁
      Thanks for the comment man

    The sag is a bit crazy on that card. Got 2 times Gigabyte gtx 680 Super Overclock cards that sag less then that and these are like stupid heavy. Im thinking the core needs a reball in your case, probably the solder balls under the core don't connect well anymore, specially if the card got too hot in the past.

    • @techwandoUS
      @techwandoUS  5 месяцев назад

      I'm pretty sure you're right about the reball. I'll probably try a few fixes and if nothing works, maybe send it into NWR (RUclipsr).
      The old Asus cards had terrible support along the PCB.

    Bummer on the dead card, but the motherboard paint-up looks great. No relief from reducing clocks in afterburner?

    • @techwandoUS
      @techwandoUS  5 месяцев назад

      Yeah, unfortunately I can't even get that far, gets worse after first boot too 😬. New business idea...
      Allow GPU tweaking in the bios haha.

      @@techwandoUS If you haven't given up on it, maybe throw it in the freezer for a bit, and try while it's cold.
      My thought is if it works with lower clocks, you can try a bios hacked to lower clocks.

    • @techwandoUS
      @techwandoUS  5 месяцев назад

      @@AAjax Not a bad idea actually. I'll try a few things. It's usually after the card settles on idle temp when it starts to misbehave.
