My Swedish Apple Cake came out perfectly. So delicate and pretty! My house is scented in all the spices, always an added treat. Thank you for the recipe and video. I can’t wait to try and bake something else you have shared.
Ty for adding Cardamom. Every recipe I have from my Sweedish Great Great Grandmother Daisey has it including her white bread and sweet bread. Coffee cake and sticky buns... Cloves Ginger Nutmeg Cinnamon and Cardamon are my go to spices for my pumpkin bread,zucchini bread etc... You can use other fruits in yours. You can also add a glaze or crumb topping....Deb
I love this kind of cake, much lighter and perfect to have over tea or coffee. This is surprisingly similar to my portuguese grandmother’s apple cake recipe. She does use russet apples, however. I guess they’re a bit more tart and acidic, so it balances off the sweetness.

in Australia we like to have those sort of cakes to tea cakes and apple cakes
Tastes really good. I did tune down the amount of sugar to 120g though. The icing sugar on top compensates well enough. 👍🍻
