Please do! I've had one other person make this and get back to me, and they loved it! Don't be scared of my pan mishap, I'm just very good at making mistakes 😅

Hey!! I had the whole series of these books and yes-masses of instructions lol!! and I bought a 20cm tin to make this exact recipe and I bought a springform-so I used to cover the outside with foil! Thanks for posting

Great advice to cover it with foil. So cool to know someone else who also has these books, they're so informative haha 😄

Looks delicious. Don’t be so hard on yourself. I appreciate how quickly you prepared this cake also. If you place your springform on a cookie sheet it could help. Also the bread crumbs on the side would have absorbed the butter. Finally to mention that the base of the springform pan may have been upside down and not a proper seal. I like to make my mistakes when I am baking for someone! It never fails! LOL! Will subscribe for more great recipes! Thanks!

Thanks for the support and advice! LOL I swear when you are baking for yourself it's always perfect, but when you want to show off for someone it all goes wrong!!

Your videos are not only entertaining, but instructional as well ... love your blooper at the end ... keep the videos coming. I am going to bake this tomorrow ... it looks amazing ... think I will have some custard with mine ...

Two gentle comments: You may want to invest in a new springform pan - they can easily go out of alignment. Perhaps it wasn't just butter that escaped; it may have also been juice from your apples too? Thanks for the recipe!

Thanks for the comment! I think I'll give the pan one more chance, but you may be right about the alignment!

I have to admit that I had a similar experience which led me to purchasing a new, heavier duty version - LOL! No problems since then and that was about 8 years ago. Best of luck!

Place a jelly roll pan with 1/4” of water covering it on the next rack below the SPRING FORM pan. Butter drips hit the water not dry pan or oven. Alternatively you can use a foil wrap around /on the pan as spring forms are notoriously leaky. This wok LL you use bane Marie for cheese cakes. Nicely done, thank you!

I love that advice! Thank you so much! I love the community here, everyone has great tips and is helping each other become better (and cleaner) bakers! I will definitely try the water in the pan trick 😁

YESSS apple season is on its way! And you have your pumpkin decor out! That probably means ok for me to dig mine out of storage, right? 😄

Judging by how early the stores get theirs out, I'd say it's very appropriate to dig yours out now 😂

Swedes can BAKE. If you want to bring it up a notch, use half cinnamon and half cardamom next time. The only thing you'll regret is not having done it sooner.

This cake does use a lot of butter, which can make it very expensive, but you could always try making it with a butter alternative and whatever fruit is in season and local to you 😊

I’m charmed and a bit perplexed by your choice to put flat-bottomed pies and cakes in a round bowl. What’s your thinking behind this, please?
