My main lesson in life is to keep people who disturb your life as far away as possible and to fill your life up with people who give you joy and a reason to smile. I found my husband and we have built a wonderful life together for the past 40 years. We have raised our sons and taught them the best we could. We retired in our mid 40's and planned out how to enjoy the rest of our lives. So far it has worked like a charm. But it did mean leaving lots of Family and relatives in the dust. They just couldn't get past their prejudices. Then as times changed and they wanted to be closer, I didn't trust their intentions and just disregarded them. For me, being successful is about having my husband kids and friends and knowing everyone is doing good and are healthy.

Jaks you are an "old soul". Totally related to everything you said. I am now in my 60s (¡joder!), living in a different country and in the best place I have vey been. I have been swimming for 40 years, my diet is tip top and while I drink and smoke people put me 10-20 years below my chronological age so I think I have some measure of success. Also, I decided about 20 years ago I would rather be on my own than deal with negative people.
Random facts: I have a cat and I think you are super cute.

Nice factual feelings of your journey! Holy cow! No snark, putdowns, meanness, etc. You are a credit to your upbringing. Either your own or your parents.

I could write a book on life and do’s/dont’s aside from my own struggles yet I’ve noticed that by eliminating leaches and users, liars and cheaters from my life how much more I’m happy & successful. My biggest is changing my health care and loosing 90lbs and maintaining it is my biggest accomplishment.

Your 3 traits for success are spot on. Unfortunately, I don't believe they can be acquired. I think they are ingrained, for some reason, at an early age, and are an obsession throughout life. They are accompanied by a great amount of personal security with oneself and the absence of feeling vulnerable. That lack of vulnerability is a turn-off for most people, and is often mistaken for ego or arrogance.

I disagree. Yes some have it easier, figure it out sooner, or just get lucky. Regardless, we all have to start somewhere. The important thing is that we start and have realistic exspectations.
As for the vulnerability part. I feel the balance between confidence and arrogance is how genuine of a person are you. I feel it's less about vulnerability and more about honesty.
Regardless, hope you achieved the level of personal security you talked about and are living the life you always hoped for.
      Best of luck.

My husband went to the University of Pennsylvania, I went to the University of California. We work in biotech and construction management. We were focused, practical and invested well. Neither of us spent money on Prada Sunglasses, or spent money on Garcon, Andrew Christian or No Sesso. We did not overextend ourselves or live beyond our means. When we finally felt good about where we were in life, we did splurge on His and His Audi Etrons LOL And we bought real estate. But exercise and college are the baseline!

People gravitate to someone who they find interesting. That's what people look for! (IMO)

Generally people who have these traits and represent them in a positive way towards others have a positive mental health status. Are there unhealthy examples? Yes. But, for the most part people who achieve what your talking about have a healthy work-life balance. Their priorities straight, and truely enjoy life.
Some do this on a grand scale. Others on a much smaller one. The important thing is that they are a positive influence on others. Yes, I would include you in that group of people who make a positive impact on others.
I strive for this myself. Still trying to figure out my passion. But, at least I'm still working towards something. While still doing self-care. Sharing positivity with others. And trying not to give to much of myself.
    Wonderful advice. Great video.

I am not really against, what you said in the video, but there are people, who does not have the same chances in life. If we want a world, where everywhere we can be openly/safety LGBT+peple, the LGBT+people, who has way more opentetuaty need to move to the less bigger city, to make sure that everyone can live everywhere, and also the older people, who is straight, can se, what LGBT+people are today.

Being obsessed with your body is not a passion and it is not attractive. Try taking care of someone else for a change. Now that is attractive. 😉
