I can't wait to see it. Also, all of this gives me courage to give things a go. I don't think i have the training or background to make something as lovely as Anna can make, but I can at least make something bespoke to me, and enjoy the process!

Anna worked in fashion before this from what I gleaned in earlier videos. She’s probably always had an affinity for creating her own designs. Love the transition to skilled trades and restoration work. Bless her. A lovely woman in construction story!

Looking at the freshly washed Ziggy I think he is your perfect floor color sample! You can‘t go wrong with his beautiful color + you would not see his hair on the floor!
The timelapses make all look so easy but I can only imagine the hard work and how your body must ache in the evening. The wall paper samples look amazing!

This was a particularly interesting episode. The humor of it all with 'Ziggy', his needed bath, his craving attention from one of his pack leaders (Anna), just such a very homespun storyline (That was Philip's cinematography vision?). Your parquet floors look exceptional - the 'why' such hard work (fixing, sanding, undercoating, sanding, top coating, sanding, "wash, rinse, repeat" (shampoo commercial line in the US) pays off in the end. Now as to the wallpaper... Philip's idea contribution to be sure, but Anna, your craftsman's talent with design, and colors... always a pleasure to see come to fruition. I look forward to seeing your solution on the hallway walls. Elegant, yet simple designs, hand (not machine manufactured) made in-house and shown there - in such an elegant setting - your home, your chateau. These are the reasons I found this episode special.
I love the Pearl color in the boot room - very similar to Sherwin Williams Sea Salt which I recently used in my home and absolutely love it. BUT...the idea of the blue and white wallpaper is inspired. It will not only echo the kitchen tiles, but it will also be absolutely gorgeous framing your dining room color! I can't wait to see that room fully decorated. Well done, guys!

Your videos are such a breath of fresh air! This is how a chateau renovation video should be like. Some actual renovation instead of faffing around and empty promises with projects that never get done. Absolutely great work guys, keep it up!
Perhaps you should have the good sense to pay attention to what the chateau channels are about instead of expecting them to be all the same. This channel is actually called "How to Renovate a Chateau" so, naturally, renovations are the focus of the channel.
It is rather silly to expect other channels to focus on renovations unless they specifically state that this is the purpose of their channel.
Stephanie...There is a really simple solution: don't watch the other channels...problem solved.

The floors are gorgeous! Can't wait to see how you'll decorate. I always see dining rooms as little jewelry boxes - decorating with metals here and there (that gilt mirror, candlesticks, etc.) will be absolutely gorgeous with candlelight!
I hope there is a magnificent crystal chandelier to set the mood of elegance and reflect in the mirror over the fireplace. I like Anna’s style which has a contemporary twist yet still is refined and elegant

We had finished sanding a huge kitchen hardwood floor, the owner wasn’t around and I took a coffee ☕️ break. Whilst pouring a coffee for my assistant, I dropped the entire pot of coffee onto the newly sanded floor! It was gorgeous! GORGEOUS! Made a few more pots of coffee and spread it as evenly as possible. Let it dry, tested in a out of the way spot to see if it needed a second coat of my magic stain. Choose to do it a second time. Let it dry mostly and went over it with a damp sponge 🧽 about three times. It sunk into the gains and the darker lines emphasized the grain. Leaving a beautiful variants of the shades of brown. I wish I had a picture to show you. Sealed it and the client was beyond thrilled! Have managed to replicate it even on stripped wood furniture. It’s not an even colour at all but it looks amazing on herringbone and parka(I’m from Canada so it autocorrect from parquet) floors. One of a few happy mishaps I made during my career. 😊 love and respect from Calgary, Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦 💝

Making your own wallpaper is so badass! I love the wood flooring color as well. And having to drop everything to wash your dog that just rolled or stepped in some sort of poop is the most relatable thing I’ve seen all day 😂

The dining walls look even better with the new floors. Seeing that dining room colour from the hallway is just divine. I love the dimension it brings, especially when seen from other rooms. It is so refreshing to see a youtube channel where the creators have a unique, personal point of view.
I too am not sure about the walls I'm wondering If a different tone on the lower paneling lighter or darker might help perhaps even with curtains and furniture it might change the look a little. I think the wallpaper looked lovely in all the tones a difficult decision.

Some of my favorite videos are those in which Anna expresses her wonderful artistic ability. I think the blue and white wallpaper for the boot room will look beautiful. The investment of care and labor made in the finishing of the floors in both the boot room and dining room has paid off splendidly!
I think the DR floor is my favorite part so far. Of course the kitchen is a miracle but I love the chevron pattern. The back hallway wallpaper is going to be stunning.
The wall color in the entry may change its tone and appeal with a darker color on the floor. I think the subtle hint of color in the wall paint will make the rich floor color all the more dynamic and at the same time not too overwhelming for an entry. I especially loved the blue flowers and with a matching blue thin border it would match the kitchen tiles so well. Love, love, love the wallpaper carvings!

Wasn't sure I liked the color of the dinning room but it has grown on me. Love the floor after doing it, for now. Will wait for your vlog to see it done. It really turns down the brightness of the walls. Drapes of cream with florals in different shades of the walls would look great. Whatever you put up will be gorgeous just like the rest of the Chateau. See you later.
I don’t think floral curtains are Anna’s aesthetic, tho. Curtains might be a bit fuddy duddy for her clean contemporary look.

The wallpaper idea is great. When you first did the white on blue I thought it was lovely, but then the second version was stunning. A classic, graceful pattern. And the dining room floor really is a labor of love. What a successful and productive episode.

Having children the bottom part of my entry walls, had finger prints, and smug marks and wet spots from a wet dog. I would wall paper above wainscoting,. Wainscoting is easier to clean. In the home we bought I removed the wall paper in the entry as it was not scrubbale. Enjoying watching your journey.

Anna for being super talented, making the beautiful, fabulous wallpaper first. Then, without pausing for breath, Anna fully restores that beautiful parkay floor and the other little floor too, to absolute perfection. It's the dedication, persistence and attention to detail that keeps me riveted to these videos. As for Ziggy 🐕 he's cuteness overload. The expression on Ziggys face when Anna asks him for help with the instructions on mixing the floor varnish, priceless! What a team 👏 What a beautiful family and yes, you too Ziggy 🐕

I like the white background wallpaper for this area. It will be a contrast from other rooms and because it’s a hallway it will brighten the area.

Anna, your ability to create your own wallpaper is most impressive and makes your living space more personal and admirable. Having a more personal space most certainly gives comfort and meaning to creating a showcase that can stand the test of time. I know for me carefully choosing colour and décor has made me love my home and lowers my stress level because I am happy in my space. You and Phillip have done an incredible job with your chateau.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen wood stain applied to a floor with a brush before. I’m used to seeing rollers (which are faster, but often oversaturate if you’re not careful) or rags (which is a lot like the brush technique). I like using a rag, myself. I find it distributes the product evenly and achieves a beautiful finish.
You should all feel very proud of the work you put in to preserve that parquet flooring. I’m sure many people would have ripped it up instead of restoring it. I see that some people are concerned about the color of the floor with the color of the walls, which I get-initially I preferred the dark patina on the wood, pre-sanding. But I feel like one, the decor will change a lot of that overall effect. And two, the tone of the floor sort of picks up on the gold mirror frame and I’m liking it the more I look at it. 🧐

My first thought with the blue on white, was a modern and fresh look. The white on blue does mirror your tiles more, but for some reason the more subdued hues seem more appropriate for the entrance.
I love each program! Quiet music, interesting commentary! I watch commercials in entirety for you! Here is DOG TRAINING tip for everyone: Only say the dog's name when you want it to COME TOWARDS you. Any go away command, do not use name. It simplifies things for everyone :)!

What a lovely couple y'all are! The floors are looking great. I didn't like the color of the dining room UNTIL the floor was done! Now it looks great! It's great to see Ben wah on Beau Chateau!
