Interesting that you mentioned a potential change in the physics with gravity and landing keeping the cars from flying / bouncing around like crazy after rally jumps.
I hope a similar improvement with the car's momentum and inertia to fix up the horrid ping pong physics with bumps / crashes in multiplayer..
I do recall a few competitors mention sliding under braking if they were too aggressive and that braking was closer to GT Sport/iRacing. Of course, PD could end up tweaking the physics based on input from the live event. I guess we'll all know soon enough.

That clip with the Impreza in the trailer was at Fishermans Ranch, not an Eiger Nordwand rally layout. Pretty sure it's only the tarmac Short Track that's being added
I know tracks in GT7 have been a bit disappointing to many people but I actually liked driving on Eiger Nordwand in GT5
PD keeps making the older tracks “more realistic” for sport mode races, so I doubt we’ll get the dirt layouts, sadly. Also, all the rally layouts are based off real hiking routes, hence the lettering names
Would not be surprised if the "K" and the other layout is reworked into the snowy parts of the mountain you see in the actual background of Eiger, with harsh loose black rock and snow!?
Sounds like a PD rework for sure..... also nobody mention about the tunnel losing the apertures and holes on the side? As the tunnel is completely dark!?
I was thinking the same thing about Igors tyre wear, that have they made MR cars better on tyres, but then the AMG of Twitchy was also nearly 20% better although the AMG is FMR but still, but what if Igor was using weak ABS or the others were !
The G layout means Eigergletscher, W layout means Wengernalp, and the K layout means Kleine Scheidegg.
At 17:40m you get a proof, that the track will have a reverse layout, cos the tunnel‘s side is open to the left on the picture.
I just want more remastered courses from gran turismos 1-4. Imagine a remastered red rock valley from gt2
I wish they would bring more back from the old games. The many tracks, layouts & LAN.

Obviously theyre trying to.... but everything takes longer with more detail etc...... plus for sure theyre holding back around 200 or so extra cars in my opinion for the next GT8! that probably includes tracks as well? again im hypothesising that goes for features as well obviously
we know theyre sitting on Pikes Peak license as well and there were rumours of Isle of Man! these are huge hero tracks! So dont expect PD to drop these tracks during a quiet year etc....
Monaco as well or Cote D'azure is another big hero track.... would not be surprised if Ayrton somehow comes back but then again PD doesnt usually make sense

I am happy that this track will return. But I'm not quite sure if the rally tracks will be featured. In the trailer, it never shows the rally layouts and just the road. I know the next update is quite big and I'm waiting for this because of that new track.

They should add Dubai autodrome (cadet layout, endurance and gp circuit) and Dubai kartdrome (full layout, international layout and national layout)
I have raced there before, it’s a beautiful layout.
I raced that on Project Cars and it has some great layouts.

Igor's rear tyres were in a better shape though than the MR equivalents. If the engine is making a difference then I am in trouble as I suffer constant understeer. I guess I'm going to have to pop to your driving school to work on my braking.
Ye but that is the weight thing again, MR's the engine is over the rear wheels so I expect Igors rears to be better.

I just want Tokyo 246 back and I’ll be happy, I don’t find this track fun but at least they’re trying, I’m excited for the update nonetheless, I do hope they put some redesigns on this track personally with a longer straight

So RUF is technically a manufacturer. They get non-VIN chassis from Porsche and build them the way they want to, get them VIN'd, and sell them. They also had the first street car to break 200mph. They are Porsche but not Porsche

tbh I don't think any of the rally layouts are coming to GT7. I think they would have included them in the trailer more prominently. The rally stage shown looked like Fisherman's Ranch.

The rally tracks are not coming according to Nenkai.
If we ever do get them, it would be super cool to see the old spectators from GT4 return where you can see ballsy photographers taking shots in the middle of the road and running to safety as you get close 👀
Interesting, I definitely couldn't see the 2 larger ones coming as the physics would bork it I think, was hoping for the smaller one though 🙈.

The more that we get tracks like this the more I believe we're getting GT sport 2 next and not GT8. Hopefully GT sport brings real tracks.

As Nenkaï the French data miner said it was a « huge » circuit coming, I do believe we’ll get several layouts of Eiger in gt7 too
I'll be so disappointed if we don't get the rallytracks. I know, it isn't real rallying, but I happen to like it a lot. Especially with rwd cars. And I fear we won't get them. I wish the rallytracks got a comeback, even while that's not what the game is about

@@askmyAKI've played ever since gt2, and stopped buying by the gram way before that :) We used to have way more tracks than this, promise. But pd seem to think the same because there is a bit of a revival going on. As to cars, well, I don't like fantasy cars. The Peut, Audi and Toyo, yes yes yes. And this Scooby we're getting, great! The rest? Meh, they feel fake.
Try converting the old Challenger to rally, or the Ford flathead. There's a moonshine special in there.
Really want to see pikes peak. They sponsor it, have historic cars from it. Old gravel and new pavement please.

I prefer the 1998 WRC Subaru over the 1999 version it looked very wrong to me having 1 door mirror for 1999 model. The 1998 WRC subaru is new too gran turismo.
I hope the Mercedes 190e Evo Dtm comes next time.
Great video. I appreciate the update and news. Now, Ferrari's look great. And I'm really tired of yet another Ferrari. Especially as a road car. They really really need to start being phased out. At the very least, we don't need new ones. Very nice cars, I know many people love them, but we really need to move on as a community.
Well, basically all tracks in GT 7 have a pitbox and not all layouts in GT6 had one. And considering there is no rally layout in the trailer, I suspect only the road course will be featured. I would like to see these layouts with half tarmac and half dirt.
Give us 5 daily races 🏁 🏎 options each week and some current race cars ! Omg almost 3 years no sport mode expansion
Excited for new track but not holding my breath last 2 track have been small tracks barely over a min long so I feel they r doin bare minimum for tracks being added ya it looks great but it needs all layouts not just the 2 smallest
Honestly, I didn't like the addition of EIGER. My sense of realism is too critical to accept a circuit with invisible walls and strips of paper on the edges of curves, instead of guardrails or walls. Furthermore, the track is notably dedicated to street cars, it is very short, considering the images already shown. Racing Super Formulas and Gr.1, Gr. 2 and perhaps Gr.3 cars will be inappropriate.
It could keep the original Eiger, but also bring an FIA Grade 2 layout with curbs, wall, fences, and a length of over 4,500 kilometers, considering that the original has only 2,430 km, and this new version shouldn't differ too much from that.
My thoughts exactly about the Nordwand track. It's not great for racing, has some horribly janky corners and certainly isn't suited for anything faster than GR4. I feel this is going to be another new circuit that makes one appearance in dailies and is never seen again. They should be adding circuits that can easily slip into the rotation of dailies. Something like Midfield Raceway, Apricot Hill or Tokyo R246 (although that's a track with lots of barriers, so very unlikely) would have been a much better pick.
Your point is something which I miss a bit in GT7 (also in GTS). There is only a few tracks dedicated to street cars. I would love to see more of these tracks. Especially the ones without a pitbox.

I am against wasting resources and time to bring ONLY ONE SHORT CIRCUIT in a location (considering that it is an odyssey journey for PD to bring a new circuit in a new update.), whose usefulness will be meaningless in Sport Mode, Multiplayer and Time Trial. As Tigney rightly said, Eiger Short Track should be accompanied by other tracks, including the rally ones that were in GT6. An extended asphalt version could also be added, like Matterhorn. I would love to see the return of Motor Sport Land I & II (GT2 and GT4), Kart Space II (GT5), as long as they were accompanied by other layouts suitable for Sport Mode and racing cars, like Maggiore.
It’s rumored that punctures are now possible as well, looks to be a game changing update.

GT always goes through cycles within cycles... has since last millennium... but is never 'outright' boring in my opinion.
Yikes this just reminds me of the weird hockey-puck physics of the older games, ironed out now but not totally. The cars behave as they should but the car model itself only seems to have one central contact patch, and rotates in such a weird way. Even when not drifting or oversteering, the front and back of the car rotate in opposite directions. For me, Forza nailed the true four contact points way better and the physics felt so much more organic. I don't have the latest Forza though, and like GT7 for the most part but for example the Citroen DS doesn't at all feel like a leaning barge like it should. It feels barely different to dozens of the other cars.

How was the new track announced at a Montreal event not Montreal GP?! Huge wasted opportunity.
I imagine the Montreal track is very heavily licenced to F1 so very costly to get.
New cars, not old ones. And fix the in game problems. Sick of not being able to get the car mods and liveries, always get error messages. Stop being penalised, for not being able to enter a race or otherwise lose your connection. Past two weeks it has been really difficult just to enter races.
Again...there are so many road circuits to have in the game and we get another bloody rally course that doesnt lend to proper racing....if i wanted rally i'd play dirt rally or something like that....this is a disappointing update to say the least.
