incredible, for the price of a 5 series you get a car that is closer to the size of an S class or 7 series while weighing less than a CTS or 5 series. that blows any thing from Lexus, Acura, Lincoln, or Infiniti away in Luxury, quality, and materials. well done cadillac a huge value.
+justin bouche Bad review in Motor Trend's 2017 car of the year.... A MUST read before thinking of purchasing it .. a MUST... It's NOT a true flagship, and it's NOT a 5 series or E class competitor, Theodore said. Cadillac suffered disapointing glitches during testing... As Evans put it: The body is writing checks the rest of the car can't cash !!!! You see Pisspants, you're just bullshit once again..... You don't know what you're talking about ... AGAIN
I love your reviews Matt! You’re always excited to test it, no matter what it is! I have a 2018 ct6 platinum with all options, including “super cruise”. I can’t say enough about this car! We live in Canada, & winter drive it with studded snow tires. It’s my wife’s daily driver, and she travels for work. With the AWD and ice/ snow mode, there’s never an issue. Black with maple sugar interior, and get regular “ thumbs up” from people! 3litre twin turbo is wicked fast! My buddy has a Challenger SRT8, and I can embarrass him because of the AWD! My only regret is; I didn’t wait for the Blackwing V8
Excellent review. I love this car. Cadillac is a fantastic American car. Whether it's luxury or sportiness, Cadillac doesn't disappoint. I think too many Americans love to self hate on anything American made. I don't understand the logic but it seems as though most Americans like to knock our things and promote foreign made things. This Cadillac is a fantastic vehicle and deserves great reviews. I just recently bought a new pickup truck that cost over $70k. With that said, $90k for this seems reasonable. I am not rich and my truck was the first time I ever was able to afford something in that price range. Instead of $110k for a similar BMW or $130k for a Mercedes, I would go for this Cadillac in a heartbeat. Thanks for the great review, well done. This vehicle makes me proud to say "Buy American". God bless us all.
I was surprised at the price was expecting like 110k for a platinum one but it was 90k! Seems just as good as an S class without the price. Luxury cars aren't my style but if they were I would probably go with one of these. Since I like performance I would choose the CTS V over all of them ;)
That's why I like your channel, cause you're unbiased in your reviews. Also your enthusiasm is awesome not to mention your knowledge and info about all the cars you review. Thanks
Always love how deactivate and excited you are in your reviews. I used to work for a tier one supplier for GM as an industrial designer and held my breath with disgust on fit and finish they have made huge leapes.. Great to see this finally.. Keep up the great work Matt.
Very thorough review. I was enthusiastic at first with my new 2017 CT6. but the last year has proven it to be the most troublesome new car that I've ever owned. Transmission failure, mechanical breakdowns and build quality issues have had my lemon CT6 in for repairs for more than 30 days.
I recently test drove one of these puppies. Finally! It is AS ADVERTISED. Incredible refinement, features, technology, power, handling, road manner, ride, materials. I am a sales & marketing consultant w/ automotive so I work regularly with Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Lexus, and Audi dealers. This vehicle goes toe-to-toe with ANYTHING from those brands, for less. I would 100% prefer to own one of these vs. an S class.
Very nice review, even though it comes off a bit as a Cadillac ad, I'm sure the car comes by it honestly. It seems like Cadillac, if it hasn't exactly taken over for BMW making the sportiest luxury sedans, is finally giving them a real run for the money.
I bought a six year old fully loaded DTS with 19,500 miles for 15 grand. Sadly only one massage function. ;-) Here's hoping I can pick up a low mileage CT 6 in six years. Nothing like a spacious car.
2016-2018 are best years. 2019 included cylinder deactivation which goes down into the drain. I’m glad you like the DTS..... but they have head gasket failures...... And that massage chair is just more stuff to break.
Actually what can I say. This car is just so nice. It looks so good, and have so many functions, and all kinds of technology. Honestly it is like watching a Hollywood SciFi blockbuster, but it's also very practical. It's powerful but not aggressive. It's futuristic but still kinda compatible with all 'older' stuff. It offers gr8 experience for both driver and passenger, with nearly all dimensions. It's just so cool.
Hell yeah that’s what I want too A CT6 platinum in charcoal grey with vogues on it. They say it’s a old man car but I’m a young dude I love a Cadillac, let them other boys keep the hellcats
This car has immense, lightweight aluminum construction that adds to the overall safe nature of this car. There are cars in the pipeline coming out that promise to place Cadillac at the forefront of design as well as technology!
The CT6 starts in the low 50s, not 60s. And, I think this guy is just happy to be riding around in a CT6 pretending to be a boss. This dude gets to ride around for a week in a CT6, come on. His excitement shines through in this review .Cadillacs make the most classy cars right now period, not withstanding super luxury cars like Bentley etc, though. All of Cadillacs current line up is classy looking, the best industrial design, all of the current line up, TBH. Also how does this stack up in your opinion to the Buick LaCross? there will be people cross shopping both of these, I know quite a few people have done so already. Also, great review, thanks, subscribed.
Thanks for subscribing! I like this a lot better than the LaCrosse. Granted, a fully loaded LaCrosse costs as much as the base bare bones CT6 so that's to be expected I think. But the CT6 actually handles in a fun and impressive manner while the LaCrosse is just floaty. For those that aren't enthusiasts and don't care about the luxury features of the CT6, I'm sure the Buick will serve them fine. For those that are enthusiasts, I think the CT6 is the much more satisfying car to drive.
Really high quality review. I love how much attention you gave the interior details. Music was spot on this time in the intro and the camera work was really good. Keep it up!
Quite honestly, I feel like this is a modern mechanical masterpiece. Put it like this, if the only con to a luxury car is its MPG, the manufacturer did many things right in making it. Considering the "bargain" (yes I know its still not cheap by any means) that this vehicle comes in, people who are in the market for a ~$80k luxury vehicle would be hard pressed to do better than this.
Matt, your demeanor between the CT6 and that blue Infiniti, whatever it was called, really tells the story here. This is why I like your reviews....honesty! Onto the Caddy...it's an awesome ride and Lincoln has a long way to go to catch up. Looking forward to your review of the new Continental.
Before anyone tells me that you can compare a Hyundai Genesis to a Cadillac. Newsflash rich people don't drive Hyundais. And I'm not even sure if it's a luxury car.
Sibjac Jay Those genesis are extremely luxurious my guy. I would put it on a level higher than Mercedes. Hermes did a special edition interior on one of the models.
@@DigitalSubset definitely no where near the Mercedes Benz S class. But you do get most of what Mercedes offers for a great bargain. I'd probably take the G90 over this Cadillac just because of the more floaty ride, cheaper price, and a few more rear seat options. Cadillac just looks like a stretched xts but the 2019 ct6 is beautiful . But I desire limousine ride over technology. So G90
Apart from the really cheap looking digital grapics on these Cadillacs, I fully understand why you like them. I was suprised by the CTS-V and I've also been in a CT6 just like this one here. Maybe they can sell a few here in germany:)
I have a tip or something I would like to see Matt. I would like it if you showed the headliner and the dome lights in the front and rear seats if there are and the sun roof opening and closing. I don't know just something that I enjoy seeing and am curious about on most cars.
This car is just wow. So much tech and entertainment. This really focuses out of the 'you're driving in a car' more towards a 'just relax in our airplane on 4 wheels' kind of experience. Really reminds me of a Maybach. I mean, if something crashes, electronically speaking, I'd die, but if all works great this is so fucking cool!
Looks good. Cadillac has come a long way in the last few years. When my E350 gets to the 5 year range a year from now, I will probably replace it with a CT6.
this is one beast of a luxury car id say better then a beamer or merc i love it you are a funny guy matt really like the way you talk about cars funny and childish keep it up

Great review as always bro. I really love your enthusiasm in all of your reviews. I've watched many of your reviews but this is the first time I've posted. Thank you!
I'd be interested in seeing how much like a stone the price drops after just one year used. I'd think that that $92k price tag would be sub $60 grand at most. in two years they'll be showing up at CarMax for $46-thousand. I hope not to be in the market for this type of ride for a few years yet but it's good to see Cadillac getting their stuff together...
I love my Cadillacs. They are the only car I will drive. I have seen Cadillac evolve from baby limos to what we have today. There were some bad years but I buy a new one every year or 2 so someone else owns mine by the time it breaks down
This car and its siblings below (including SUV's) are what GM could successfully pitch in Japan. Japanese don't like import cars that resemble Japanese cars. Most American cars (and Korean ones) do. Cadillacs are very much distinctly American while of course functioning well in their own right. They'd sell well there.
FYI 15.3mpg is *exactly* what my long term average is in my Holden Caprice, with the 6.2L LS3 V8. I'm a chauffeur in Australia, doing mostly city driving.
Half way through this video and it's already jaw breaking holy cows! Cadillac launched it right out the ball park I'm so astonished by the loaded interior, this being an American car. But with so much tech on this thing, makes me wonder how much insurance would go for this beast. The more tech involved, the more there is to break.
