The paladin really was a nice touch. I save him every time, mostly because I can't get over myself and play the bad guy :D

He's quite bad though all I remembered was his been scratching the magisters backs with his massive sword

Found the body of Delorus on one of my playthroughs somewhere north of the main temple after Alexander disappeared from the camp in act 3. Confirmed dead :/

This game has what amounts to an almost obscene amount of depth. Every time I play through it I have at least 2-3 moments where I stop and just marvel at what the creators have managed to do... how they were able to take all these story arcs, characters, items, mechanics and player builds into account and blend them all together so seamlessly.
Usually, when re-playing an RPG I really like, a lot of the experience just has me on autopilot... kind of going through the motions and just enjoying the game as if it were comfort food. With Divinity, there's always a new character or dialogue option or item or quest or WHATEVER it is lol that I've missed and it keeps me engaged and interested the entire time. No other RPG has ever done this for me and it's truly impressive how they managed to weave all of this together. The game is, in my humble opinion, a true work of art.

I actually saved Delorus without meaning to lol. And if you save him(and heal him) he will tell you the password that you have to tell the other 2 person with hans, this will be your initial ticket out of fort joy. :D

Only thing i've missed was the helmet interaction, since i always used the rod. Thanks Mort!

Delorus is actually really useful if you find him in act 3. He can become a follower you can control in combat. Once you reach the elven encampment he leaves you to go hang out with a group of magisters staying there (if you get into a fight with them you basically need to kill him too). He has some pretty good skills, like assassinate and tactical retreat. Near where you find him there is a specific corpse you can interact with that was a friend of Delorus. Depending on the dialogue options you pick at the corpse you can give him a permanent enrage or encourage.
You can clear quite a bit of the island with Delorus as a pseudo party member if you stay out of the elven encampment and don't progress the story on the island in a significant way. It's really cool and I wish Larian would have used this follower mechanic more (like with Gareth and Gwyidon)

Love this. Dos2 has so many incredible details that definitely are worth mentioning! Thanks for making this!
    Here's a few details I personally found:
-On one of the damaged bridges in Arx, there's a lizard lady yelling something along the lines of "Look at the size of that thing!" If you look under the bridge, there's a MASSIVE dead voidwoken that you can teleport up, has some decent loot.
-On the Nameless Isle, near the Zorl-Stissa altar, there's a crab. If you speak to him, he'll tell you he's looking for an evil sorceress named "Septa". If you tell him that you're working with her, he'll turn into a GIANT crab and fight you. (A crab named Septa can also be found in fort joy).
-In Arx, if you go into the cellar of the lady who gives out loans (SPOILER)... You can find a shelf with bottles of blood(?) labeled with the names of everyone she has made a deal with. This includes Griff, and other characters we've seen.
Looking forward to see more videos like this! :D

After having played the game, I too think there's way too many spoilers to just recommend it to those that have only visited Fort Joy. I' recommend either being even more vague "You have chance of meeting Dolorus later" and leave it that, or warn that you'll talk more of it. Nonetheless, a cool fact, we were wondering how we missed him on our first playthrough, but of course we did if he wasn't alive then 😄

Oooh! So that's where that demon came from! In act 2 I was fighting those possessed dwarves hiding on the way to the Umbral totem and it appeared in the middle of the fight. I legit thought it had been released bc of some mechanism (there are 2 "buttons" on the ground), not bc of the helm 😂🤦🏽‍♀️

    • @SandraStar66
      @SandraStar66 3 года назад

Those buttons are traps! I remember trying to see if they unlocked a hidden door and or something, but I didn’t realize I had set the traps off during the fight.

Hey thanks, this explained some things I hadnt quite understood.
I had actually come across the demon Kryler the Kettlegrinder. He suddenly appeared while I was fighting the ending fight with Alexander and he took off Beast's Tyrant's Helm and beast got burnt as a result. I didnt quite notice this lizard demon in the thick of the fight, thought it was another one of Alexander's summons. Later after the fight I was going through all the corpses and he had the helmet on him, but this time it did not have purge but instead had shackles of pain.

Did you know Larian wanted to make 4 (I think) separate maps of essentially major locations of some of the races? All four of the current maps we go through now were actually originally going to be one very large map that we could explore. It would've been deemed as the "human" area if I remember correctly, but I could be wrong. Obviously they had to cut things down due to time, but it would've changed so much if we had additional maps and locations.

6:58 You can initiate the Houndmaster fight with height advantage by teleporting your team members (or using Tactical Retreat/Cloak and Dagger) to the room next to the stairs. The room rewards you with exp upon landing and has a ladder that leads to one of the rangers' deck.
Bonus: Houndmaster drops a red ball upon death and you can use that ball to pacify the dogs in upper floor and get bonus exp (they turn hostile once you leave though)

if you speak to Butter with a female character, you can romance her. one of the options is to meet up if you ever make it out of Fort joy. well, in Act 4 she will south of Kemms mansion, dead on the beach. she showed up when I romanced her, but on a different playthrough with male characters I couldn't romance her and her body didnt show up

    • @nawee242

You could also do that with male because i already done it many times with male unit.

This may have been out here before, but if you stealth into the encounter and heal Delores (Restoration is best) he will partake in the fight with you, all be it with low health and a weak attack, but it’s a body on your side and I think a line of dialogue similar to when you keep cork alive when fighting the magisters also in Fort joy. Nothing as far as I’m aware changes the future conversation in Fort Joy or further into Nameless Isle.

    • @bardbarian2936
      @bardbarian2936 Год назад

I should say healing Delores before the conversation with the houndmaster ends

I personally like lording over the Soul Jar over Gratiana or going to the Captain's last fight and just using his Soul Jar for a free win and gear.

If you forget to, don't bother to, or he turns it down in dialogue and the guy with the sparkler card dies later on, you can still take the sparkler card off his corpse. My first play through I didn't have a direct heal spell and in dialogue he refuses healing potions. I came back to the area a little later and he was dead. Looted the corpse and got the card.

    • @danielhuisman1996

you can also talk to the dwarf doctor (polymorph trader) and she will ask you for booze to heal him. your character will scoff at her for healing him with booze, but she doesnt have any other options. if you give her booze, she will feed it to the dying man and later he will still be dead. I always thought the booze killed him, lol

I only missed the first 2. But I did not remember that the man I met on Nameless Isle was the man I saved everytime against the hound master. I just thought that was a optional scout companion in a quest I did not activate. Iirc he turned against me once I started fighting Alexander in the Elven tree. Oh well.
Also on the Griff part you can tell his wife that he is dead, because I always kill that bastard.

  • @xelloskaczor5051

Just saying, keeping delores alive is actually a joke, as long as you dont just accept every encounter as is. You can easilu start the fight with delores on max hp, and he will even tank for you in the fight, even on tactican he can be more useful than a liability
    Just cast resto on him.
He gives u a half decent bow if u save him on nameless isle. Just make sure not to aggro magisters or source vamp rheir corpses until u escort him to elven camp (its almost never an upgrade unless ur unlucky af)
