i totally relate. i worked at Mcds in the 90s/2000. i closed on the weekends. i came in after school ,i would rather be at work than home. I remember busting my a$$. I have a different career now & still prefer the ‘night shift’
I too worked at McDonald's in the early 2000s back when they closed and I used to love clothing. The manager was say clean up and whatever you want get it and let's go. Because of course they don't keep the food for the next day. One night I walked out with 40 apple pies. I just gave them away on my way home and kept 5 for me
I was an Assistant Manager for BK for 10 years. Loved the open/Breakfast shift. Same guests every morning and Mom's who worked their butts off so they could go home to their preschoolers at lunch. BK was one of the best jobs I ever had! Keep up the great work!
I work closing at Menards, I love it because we aren't busy from 7pm to 10pm, so everything that needs doing is usually done during those hours. At 10 we walk our department and then clock out when clear. I would hate working fast food and god bless ya for doing it.
Someone always gets to clean everything and never given an opportunity to learn whopper board or drive thru or front end or spec board. They always had me on bathrooms lobby broiler hood cleaning friers outside garbage dishes etc etc. While everyone else plays on their cellphone until someone orders food. I finally quit because of the favoritism. I'm going to try mcdonald's for a job next. I heard mcdonald's does not do shit like that.
Bro you’re a great dude I love watching your videos he’ll of a dad love to hear that shit man my pops watched all my football games something I’ll always remember, trust you’re doing it right homie
as a burgerking employee i feel you. morning shift suck because you have to wake up early, my morning shift usually start at 8 am but whenever i have a closing shift if its on the weekdays we close at 12 am and we have until 1 am to finish cleaning etc then on the weekends at 1am we close and we have 2 to 3 am to finish so it sucks eitherway but its fast food we speaking these hours are mandatory
Watched the whole video fam ND it meant alot, thanks alot big brotha🖤 I wanna try apply for a job at BK but have 0 Job experience, ans to make it even worse I dropped out in grade 8 when I was young, I'll be 18 soon and I worry so much about my future sometimes I even feel like killing myself bcuz I won't make it anywhere and I'll be in the same basement my mom lives in when I'm older, not alot of my fam comes from success so even if I work at a place like bk for the rest of my life I'll be fine, But honestly I really don't see myself getting a job without a degree and I'm 80% sure I'm right, but thanks for making video like these, you encourage me alot fam much love and wish nothing but success for your family and you🖤🖤
I started working a bk like 2 weeks ago i have the closing shift from 6 pm till 12 pm at night (i am from lebanon ) Do u have any tips to help me improve my preference?
Man im interested in working at burger place I thought I was gonna end up in auto body work but didn’t work out so I gotta learn something and I wana learn to build the sand which’s and flip the Pattie’s
I just had my first shift today and it was painful. A little backstory for anyone reading. I have 10 years in the service industry (full service busser, server, driver type shit) 4 years managing (Carry outs and dine ins) and 2 years as kitchen supervisor(kitchen manager and head prep guy). And the training i got today (at BK) was extremely go with the flow . I didnt have a dedicated person i was shadowing and was mostly left alone and had to ask or even tail people to see what they were doing to get any idea of what to do. Managent really dropped the ball and i already hate this job. Some might say why did i decide to go the fast food route if i have good experience in dine in places and that's because no place was hiring and the only place that did offer an interview was BK . So i took it . Im a man of integrity and my word so i wont bail on my new crew for now but im looking for any real kitchen jobs willing to hire me ASAP even if they start me off in the dish pit 😅 Also understand that my entire life ive only work actual kitchen jobs making sauces, dressing, dessert from scratch and making dough and baking bread. Thats what im good at . And what i want to do but i took what i could right now and it fucking sucks . I want to actually cook . But ill take what i can get until then . 😢 Today was rough man. Sorry this turned into a rant. But i hate it this already.
Bruh what I’m shift manager at my BK and I HATE closing I would much rather open bruh I hate when my assistant manager opens he doesn’t clean doesn’t keep up with his crew yk buh everybody’s different
As a former Wendy's employee/manager I always preferred the opening sihft because when you open, you usually had a set time to leave, but when you close you don't leave until everything is done, and being short handed makes the night longer.
Anywhere you work there's Always one manager who knows exactly how to get 1:59 overtime out of you but still make sure you're clocked out before the night pay rates kick in
Bro burger king in Lebanon is so different a chicken Jr is : mayo lettuce tomate , pickles ketchup onions But what he first did we call a normal chicken burger (small size)
If yall wanna know what it’s like, I’m sure a Burger King near you is hiring. You could go find out. Not like you gotta stay. You could quit if you don’t like it. Probably best to get your own experience. Use these jobs here to fuel your actual end goal. That’s what these jobs are for really. You definitely don’t wanna make this your career 😂
4-5 closers. You mean people who start at 4 and end at 12am? The manager at the Burger King I live near said they need someone who will work at 4 pm and end their shift at 12 am and sometimes up to 1 am. I didn't want the job because I'm not sure how I will wake up early the next One of my early college class is at 8:30 am and I have to take one train to get there. Is their a way to wake up early at 6 am or 7 after taking a shift like that?
Those gloves look like they take entirely too long to put on properly, a huge pet peeve of mine when I've worked places that require them. I've seen Subway and McDonald's workers use much looser ones that go on much easier, those should be standard at any restaurant that cares about their employee's efficiency.

Those bread trays are always on a floor or in the back of a bread truck, never washed or cleaned. You are pulling the bread rack out with gloved hands and touching food products.
This is so relatable! I can understand why working with some people that are difficult or can’t do their job. Lazy coworkers are the worst.
I'm so happy I don't have any lazy coworkers. A couple of them go above and beyond and it's so helpful.

I would have to agree with you.

I used to work at Culver's back in 2006-2008. Now I work at a grocery store
Have my burger king interview tomorrow and I'm shaking lol, what do I wear for it?
I used to drink margaritas, smoke marijuana, and slam Budweiser at my restaurant job. I loved it!!! and all the free Mexico food ! 😊❤😊
4:50 the lid on the holder/freezer Should be Closed 😮
man 5 closers... my burger king we only get about 2-3 closers
Im starting tomorrow 8am to 4pm! Like SpongeBob SquarePants I'm ready.😂
Hey, how was it? I'm starting pretty soon, just waiting for them to tell me when I can come in for orientation.
Bro I hear everything you just said! Foreal. Except I'm a manager at a sonic. But I deal with the same shit. Lmao
Now I understand the mayo situation at every BK, it's spackled on using drywall tools.
"They need hours" whole point of staying 😊
You can do literally anything else dawggg
What city and state is your bk in? Would love to get an application in

What if your introverted and if your single and all of your friends are in different states?
Used to work closing shifts at McDonald’s yea never again lol burned myself on that grill cleaning a couple times idk how it is at Burger King tho

Don't hurt the kids! Keep going.
I think I’m gonna apply here because I’m in college and I just need the money.
Great video but can you please tell me the difference between a shift manager and a assistant manager please?
And assistant has a bit more responsibility, more pay, more hours, and more leadership
What camera are u using ?
BTW, you're well enough to return to work but that cough is still lingering

I just came to watch a dude make whoppers. I didnt think Id strongly relate to this.
As a GM, opening shift was the easiest. 4.8 star average FSS in 2023.
Inflate your own ego much?
8-12 crew members and 4-5 closers!!! At my Burger King it’s literally just me and two cooks for the whole day.
