So beautiful Mr. Clark I love your tutorials
Glad you like them!
Up the amount that we can send you. We love what you guys do. I try to remember to give. But you guys do give always . We love you. Thank you for all you do.
Thanks so much Poppy - very kind you!
I love to see this kind of videos that mention another painter who inspired you. Not only am I impressed how your paintings end up looking way better than the "big great" old artist's ones (more alive, better use of colour combinations and contrast, as well as brilliant use of different textures - at least in my opinion), but it's also very interesting to see what inspires you. Thank you for another great video tutorial!
Thank you so much! - and thanks for the tip!!!
Considering the ease of sourcing the materials and variety of revolutionary techniques/methods accessible completely free these days, it's not very impressive. I can do this after only 1.5 months of watching RUclips (my degree is in math, I'm not even artistically inclined! While Turner created something very new for his time, huge difference! This dude is just a very good copy-cat, that's it.
@@mikesamovarov4054 who hurt you? Are you really judging Paul by this one picture that was a) not a copy but an improvement and b) not his only picture that underlines his skill? Even if Paul's style is not your cup of tea, why do you even go through the process of reading comments and then replying in such a disregarding way of his time and efforts for others to learn? Just move on.
I was so glad to get to this video, a week late, but it was worth it. I did a credit card landscape with ink and watercolor today, but this will up my game. Thanks for being there. HNY 😊
Sounds great!👍
One more time, a beautiful moment with you! thank you so much...
Thank you Paul for this wonderful lesson, a gave it a try and really liked working more quickly and freely.
I look forward to seeing your tutorials on Wednesday, if I don't paint them then I watch them. Always learn something from them! Thank you!
Awesome, thank you!
Thank you so much for another wonderful tutorial! I owe you so much for teaching me how to paint.
What a wonderful tribute!
Hello from Glasgow, Kentucky,USA! Thank you so much for this video. Turner is my favorite. Please do more like this.
Will do! ... thanks all the way from Kentucky!
I prefer your painting to turners but I know the feeling of just wanting to stare at master paintings. There’s something magical about a perfect painting. I really wish mine could be like that someday. I so appreciate your tutorials. I tell everyone to watch you on RUclips. So many of my students feel overwhelmed but your videos are so peaceful and I remind them that they can pause you and rewind. (Unlike in person classes with me). I think it’s funny that I usually paint your tutorials in an hour or less. (I try to keep up even though I know it’s speeded up).
Have a blessed and merry Christmas and May God send you joy and peace this holiday season.
Thanks so much Jacqueline for your continued support - You are so welcome! ... happy Christmas to you too 🎄
Beautiful sky.
Thank so much.
I love your paintings! And thank you for the movie recommendation! Watercolor Wednesday is my new favorite thing! Thank you for all that you do ❤️
You are so welcome!
Yes! I didn't know there was a movie about Turner
What a gorgeous moody sky and landscape
Thanks Linda!
Merry Xmas to you and a prosperous New Year. Thanks for keeping me sane during Covid.
I literally had chills when I saw Turner's paintings in person on my first visit to London at the National Gallery. It was really an emotional moment for me, he always
was one of my favorite painters. Thank you Paul for this...
I agree - it's such a wonderful painting!
i loved to paint the blue door with the roses !
Thanks for this! I did see the movie and it was memorable. Your painting was very inspiring. Enjoyed!
I love Turner's style and you portray it beautifully!
Thank you for another wonderful tutorial
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful!!!!!! I love taking your tutorials sometimes for a simple lesson of using the colors and practicing blending them...perhaps with this one concentrating on one element at a time. Time to paint that sky for starters ! Thank you!!!!
Thanks so much 😊
Great work, thank you! And nice to see my 🇺🇦
I will go and try to continue background trees on my painting…
Very beautiful Paul!! Thank you 😊 .I wish you Bon Nadal! 🌲
One of your nicest paintings i think Paul, thank you. Thank you too for your work all year and merry Christmas to you and family
I love your lessons
Hi Paul, Loved you video. Thank you so much!
Thankyou Paul once again. Watercolour Wednesday comes to me on Thursday, so I'm already able to see the first attempts coming through as well. I love the Turner paintings. BLISS!
Wonderful! - thanks Patricia
It is a cold Wednesday morning and it is fun to turn on youtube to see this lovely watercolor painting. Such excellent skies and awesome colors. Many thanks and wishing you and Margot a very Merry Christmas and properous new year.
Thank you so much 😀 Cheers Jillian - Happy Christmas to you too!
Breaking down a master's technique gives such good insight into their creative process. The light in this painting is outstanding. Thank you so much! I really look forward to Wednesdays! 👍🏻
He didn't explain much!!! 🙄 Just blindly copied another artist (it's called plagiarism) 🤦🏻♀️ This is not an artist, but rather a thief. Nothing original here 😂
Great painting inspired by Turner! I learned to paint from a book by the Terry Harrison. I have improved considerably by soaking up your generous painting videos. Thank you, Paul.
Sounds great! Cheers Laura
Can’t wait to try this one. I ordered a set of your paintbrushes, and they arrived today! My Christmas gift. Happy Christmas to everyone!
Merry Christmas this was a gift!
Paul , excellent video ! Thanks for all your tutorial videos ! Needless to say, you’re one of my favorite watercolor artists !
I admire your British sense of humor too !
Wow, thank you!
Paul, I agree with some of the other comments here - I like your painting better than JMW's. 😊Once again, an enjoyable watch. I look forward to your Wednesday lessons and am booing and hissing at RUclips for not having it appear in my feed yesterday. Enjoy your Christmas and New Year!!
Thank you so much 😀 You too Diane!
Wonderful! What an immaculate, moody sky. Happy holidays and we’ll say cheers to a creative 2023!
Thank you kindly! And to you 😁
I loved this one. I’m trying to work harder at making these my own by sketching rather than using the patterns and varying the pallet.
I can’t thank you enough for coaching me along. I would never thought I could be as good as some of the work I’ve produced via your lead. I’d like to see more like this.
Delighted to hear David!
Paul, you had three drying times but only took one break. You have to take care of yourself and make sure you get your liquids in. Lovely painting. I am researching and watching everything about Turner. Between you and Turner I am in good hands. Happy Holidays
Lol! - love that Scott - Happy Christmas to you too!
A beautiful rendition of Turner's painting. Christmas greetings to you as well.
I love Turners paintings, watching you paint this was mesmerising. Gonna have a go myself! Thanks for all the content!
Glad you like them!
I know and respect the fact that JMW Turner is one of England's greatest artist, or at least revered as such, but I always feel a bit myopic when looking at some of his paintings.
Congratulations on 150k!!! Much deserved... Wonderful tutorial again! Thanks for all the hard work in teaching us watercolour 🙏
Thank you so much 😀
I really enjoyed today's lesson. The colors in this one blended together so well, giving a lovely, harmonious feel to the painting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Well, I think your study was a great improvement on Turner's sketch, and I think he would have been rather pleased! Thankyou! XXX
Thanks so much!
I loved this tutorial so much! Love Turner's work. Many thanks!
Omg! My favourite painter! Thank you for this video.
My pleasure 😊
Thank you for this very great moment of sharing: the discovery of Mr. JMW Turner (since I was 15 in 1967) remains in my eyes the greatest. During my visits to London, sitting in front of the light of her paintings, I let myself be invaded by immense emotion.
So your introduction to this tutorial is a wonderful Christmas present.
Happy New Year
Your videos have been so very valuable for me, stumbling through the entrance to the mystical world of watercolor. So, thank you very much indeed Mr. Clark and have a wonderful 2023🎉
Best regards from Sweden
Wow, thank you!
Inspirational.
Thank you so much for another great dayv, the light of the gray week. I love that you adress the lovely and huge artist that inspired you. Happy hollidays and Merry Christmas ! to you and all the loved ones and the hole world.
Thanks Paul for helping me to understand Turner a bit better. I think all who are commenting that yours is better than Turner’s are correct, but we have awesome pigment now in comparison to what he had to work with, don’t we. I’ve recently tried some Daniel Smith watercolor and it is great, but very staining. Thanks for the movie recommendation too. Looking forward to watching. Hope you and Margot are having a blessed Christmas and New Year season!
Wow, thanks! and same to you!
So we watched Mr. Turner, Paul. I loved seeing all his wonderful paintings, but Mike Leigh, the film’s creator seemed hyper focused on Turner’s failures as a human being and not his success as an artist of the Victorian era. Such a shame because he was one of the few artists of his time that successfully communicated the industrial revolution. I watched a 15 minute snippet of a documentary here on RUclips titled 1/4 of Turner’s genius (ruclips.net/video/WE0VQ0HfD9Y/видео.html) which covered a lot of “his darling” piece The Fighting Temeraire; my all time favorite of his works. I suppose the tortured artist made more of a film statement than his successes did, but I felt it unfair to the great artist. Happy New Year and Blessings to you and Margot.
Absolutely Exclusive Wishing you a Merry Christmas 🌹 Love the foreground which emphasizes the depth of the picture ❤️❤️❤️
Just love this, emulating the old masters. I would sure love to see more of these. You do it so well !
Thank you! Will do!
Merry Christmas to you and yours and thank you for all your free time each week

Really marvellous. I've been incapable to paint in these last months, I'm in an apathetic phase. After viewing your video, yes I'l try to paint tomorrow, hope I'll get enough strength and energy. Thanks master Paul Clark by being as excellent as to draw the attention of an apathetic person.
I hear you... you're in my thoughts and prayers... not able to paint lately, but Paul's videos are awesome and an encouragement!
Thank you Paul for all your videos! Sorry, I haven't let a comment in a long time...I think is also the laziness to write in english. I would like to thank you for your tutorials and I wish you really a merry, merry Chritmas with yours. Se you soon, take care of you!

Very nice interpretation of the painting, I really like the colors used. thank you Mr Clark.
Beautiful! I haven't tried doing a sky and then going back over it when it's dry. It looks like a really neat effect! Thank you!
Thanks for these Paul. This and another video have turned me on to both Turner and Homer. I even copied one of Homer’s Bermuda paintings - Road in Bermuda 😊 unfortunately I can’t paste it here but I’m very thankful for your videos that continue to encourage me to try things.
My pleasure!
I love turners paintings
Can't wait to give this one a go
Love Inspiration series videos very much! I had to completed Van Gogh’s video and I like that painting very much either. I will follow this one in the North Pole storm. I hope this painting will let me feel warm. Thank you very much Paul to share the beautiful watercolor paintings videos.
Love your paintings you remind me of something in-between Geoff kersey and Joe dowden.
Thanks, I’m happy with that, 2 great artists 👍
