    What a wonderful teacher! You reviewed new paints, improved on a painting and still make it doable for anyone, even if they don’t have that set of paints! I love how you show everything that’s needed at the beginning and how to mix colors. Thank you!

    Wow! I like the way you say I've used too much spray for the trees ..and redo the back ground! The second time rigger-trees are better than the first ones you did..so..Great Paul . The thing is that you do one error every 100 works , me one or two error every work! But I like to see how to fix it. Love yr way of teaching!

    Oh Paul, you could feel the quiet and solitude of an early morning row on the water listening to the call of the loons oozing off the page. Your paintings always stir emotions as well as imagination. I LOVE it!!

    You've set the bar dizzyingly high for the rest of the year with this one. Having been pike fishing on my local river this icy dawn, I can attest that you have perfectly captured the atmosphere, colours and light.

    I bought this set of paints to try the brand and was disappointed in the color selection. I’ve been fighting with them all week to make good mixes. You, however, overcame the challenge and produced a masterful painting anyway. Thanks for showing mixes that work.

    This gave me goose bumps reminded me of fishing with dad when I was young. Love your tutorials thanks for all your hard work. I live in the country in Australia and it is so hard to attend any classes without hours of travel so your videos are so so appreciated.

    As always Paul, another Wonderful Wednesday! I am truly taken by the lovely depth of the blue, the soft misty effect and the warm gold glow of light. It could certainly be one of our beautiful sunrises on Golden Pond here in New Hampshire, particularly with your perfect addition of the graceful loon. Exquisite! I can hear the loons..... 👩‍🦳🖌️

    Absolutely stunning Paul. I think Ive got to try the Maimeri Kit. Those colors and granulation are lovely. I agree with you that they could have put some different colors but like you say you can pick up some others. Your use of the table salt in this in the water effect was sheer perfection. Your comments regarding the oars made me laugh out loud. Thank you for all your recommendations/comments.... all noted.

    Yes, given the boat’s beam those are long oars, indeed. Maybe he was out in the early mist remembering his racing days. This painting is breathtakingly beautiful.

    Have you ever tried a color pencils to do your highlight with prisma color pencils are soft and have a lot of pigment.

    A beautiful painting! I love how you mentioned the 'ugly stage' of a painting. So many times I've thrown my paintings out at this stage as I don't see the potential for salvaging it. Will have to try to keep going when I get to this stage :)
