Oooh... I love the contrast with the sharp edged and soft clouds.. I've done one or the other but not both at the same time. It really gives that layered look with the clouds stacked up.

This scene reminded me of how much enjoyment I found in watercolors. Since finding your channel I have ordered some new paint supplies as it is much to hot here in New York to be looking for boxes in the attic. I stopped painting because of some physical ailments but have decided to give it another try. Tremors can be rogue waves and twitches suicidal seagulls. It has been several years but I'm hoping I can fall back into it. Once it cools off I will be getting out my old sketches just as a refresher. Thanks for getting me started again.

WOW! I absolutely LOVED this scene Paul! It seems to incorporate all, or most, of the techniques you’ve taught us and what a beautiful outcome. That sky, in particular, is a knockout. I really want to give this a try. I really want to be there, more like LOL ❤️ PS those seagull vignettes were hilarious! Talented folks out there!!

A LOT of skill, here. Not one for the faint-hearted, I reckon. Being extremely faint-hearted I think I'll carry on practising the basics, with your guidance...
I'm a beginner Robert but thought this one do-able
Please give this a try, Robert. We all need to stretch out of our comfort zone and I am always surprised at what I can do. If you are not sure of sketching the boats or people leave them out and practice on some scrap paper. You never know until you try!
