I had a Whippet boy for 15years from 2007 to May 2022.. He was my baby and my angel. He was the most gentle and loving dog I have ever had in my life. I miss him every single day. His last 6-10month was hard for him as he couldn't use his all 4 legs due to old age but he was a very healthy dog for most of his life. I now have a Whippet puppy who is almost 4 months old, he has the same body and face colour as my old boy. I've ordered the same harness you have (Rufflewear) as I had an incident when my pup slipped out of his harness, it was a pure nightmare to catch him. I LOVE WHIPPETS so much, they are an absolutely beautiful breed.
It is one of the saddest things to go through losing your best little friend 💕 we had tested many harness and the webmaster by Ruffwear are still the best to date and come with a live guarantee too

Your whippets are precious! You can see how Rosie looks up to Louie. We adopted our ninth retired racing greyhound in December, after a couple of years of having no pets. It is true, it was harder for him to acclimate coming to our house with no one to 'show him the ropes'. We love your videos 😊 🦮

We had the equivalent of 2 whippets in 1dog. It's called a greyhound! 😋

We have two of similar age, there's a year between them. I feel like they enjoy the companionship of being a duo. It does sometimes feel like we have ten, not two!
My wife is whippet mad, she even makes whippet pottery (Lune Elie), I'm just along for the ride! We're also a campervan family and we live in the North West surrounded by beaches and the Lake District. It's so important for them to enjoy the outdoors!

Rosie and Louis were so made for each other weren't they 💕😁. They are both so laid back and relaxed... where as my whippet Merlin has always been a bit nervy around other dogs..since being bitten when he was just one..and consequently, hasn't really trusted other dogs too much. He's possibly got a little better, now he's in his more senior years of nearly twelve and will tolerate a quiet, laid back dog. This meant we never really felt we could bring another dog into the equation... although we would have loved to try 🙏. He was our first ever dog too, so we didn't have masses of experience. We love him to bits though 😊...and hope he lives a few more years in continued good health 🍀. Your advice is spot on as usual and I love seeing Rosie and Louis on your channels...a real joy 😁👌🐾💞😘

Great advice as always. In all honesty 2 whippets are great but I wouldn't have the age gap too big either, Jason is 10.5 and Ronnie is 14mths, Jason can be a grumpy old man sometimes 😀 ❤

I once had three greyhounds (retired racers) and two border collies. It was great, actually, because they all always had a friend, whether at home or at the kennel/daycare, whatever. It was like a big happy family of kids. The problem was they were all about the same age within a year or two, and so they all passed away at once. I think I lost 4 within a year. It was very tough. I have two the same age now; they are 7 and 8, and I have been thinking about a pup because I will always have one left.

I got 2 whippet puppies at the same time and I can honestly say it was the hardest thing I've ever done.
Whilst they are absolutely great I definitely wouldn't recommend 2 puppies at the same time for anyone who works. One other financial consideration is dog care. I pay around £200 per month to my dog sitter. Mine are 7 now.

Great information. A pleasure to watch. I just love to see whippets run. My collies can run,but when they meet a whippet, they just don't seem to know what is going on, like how are they faster than me. 😀 Just subscribed 😊👍

Hi Dave some great words of advise there. Like you I also have 2 whippets, the first one we re-homed, I was fortunate enough to know the reason he had to be re-homed and his background, he's from a Dutch breeder under the affix of shiny sensations, Franco is 4 now and Ironically looks just like your Louis. I also have a girl Luna who will be 2 in September. I absolutley adore the pair of them and I'd have another without question Franco is registered stud dog so its very likely it could happen. On another note although I live in just outside of Manchester we also have a place in Ugthorpe so I may see you around at Runswick bay or Sandsend. 👍

Dave. My little whippet bitch Rosie is now 16 months old, so I decided to get her a companion. I picked up a little 16 week old dog Tigger. They get along great together he's left me a message in the mornings My fault I need to be quicker down the stairs? As you say he follows Rosie about and now knows where to go outside and what to do. Like you we have many local beaches up here in Cumbria and the lakes to stroll round. Once he has had his second jabs we'll be going along the beach and the local harbour.

Have you ever considered taking them to a lure racing event or even letting them having a go you cam see on my channel some events I have been to
We did take our first whippet to a whippet race but they wouldn’t let him race without pedigree papers 🤔 but I think Rosie would be fast 🙏👍😍
@@onemanandhiswhippet some places can be weird like that as there's a whole other type of racing called non ped whippets so there basically whippet x greyhounds so have no papers

Your whippets are gorgeous, it brings me so much joy to see them so happy and well-cared for, thanks for posting. We're thinking of getting 2 whippet pups from a good breeder, we were thinking of going for 2 bitches but, seeing how well your 2 get on together, are considering a dog and a bitch. Have you any thoughts on this?

Hey, do you have any advice on feeding whippets? Our whippet Frankie is very picky with food and is losing weight and we are starting to get kind of concernd. He is not super under weight but he is definitely not the weight he should
be. Xxx

I would check with the vet just to see if he’s all ok also has he had a wormer tablet? We use Pooch and Mutt wet and dry food and our two love it other things to do always feed him at the same time we feed ours 3 time a day little and often its a good way to keep him interested in food Don’t let him have too many treats or food from the table so he knows what is his food

I will try keeping him on a schedule of his eating times and we will try 3 meals a day instead of 2

Thanks in US they pressure you to have done . Cary is only 18 weeks Vet said in a year. We will wait and see how he does. He is a good boy my Cary Grant.
