Just to clarify sir, a substance that is capable of initiating an immune response is called an Immunogen. An antigen is a general term referring to any foreign or non-self substance. ☺️ somehow to simplify things, all immunogens are antigens but not all antigens are immunogens. Awesome lecture btw I just had to clarify ☺️
the immunogenicity of an antigen depends on various factors, including its size, structure, context, and the individual's immune system. While all immunogens are antigens, not all antigens are equally effective at inducing a strong immune response, and some antigens may even actively suppress the immune response.

i have a question plz elucidate for me that what r pathogens? actually the term pathogens is used in broadest sense anything that can causes disease so it can be bacteria, virus, fungi or parasitic microorganism so how a word pathogen is used for a Chemical iam confused ????
